About Frontline - changing lives
Frontline - Changing Lives: Revolutionizing Social Work Practice and Leadership
Frontline is a UK-based charity organization that aims to create social change for children who do not have a safe or stable home. The organization was founded in 2013 by Josh MacAlister, who recognized the need for better social work practice and leadership in the UK's child protection system. Since then, Frontline has been working tirelessly to develop excellent social work practice and leadership that can transform the lives of vulnerable children.
The organization's mission is to recruit, train, and support outstanding individuals to become exceptional social workers and leaders. Frontline believes that every child deserves a safe and stable home environment where they can thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. To achieve this goal, Frontline has developed an innovative two-year program that combines academic learning with on-the-job training.
Frontline's program is designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. The program consists of four main components: recruitment and selection; summer institute; on-the-job training; and leadership development.
Recruitment & Selection
Frontline recruits outstanding individuals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about making a positive impact on society. The recruitment process involves several stages, including an online application form, psychometric tests, assessment center activities such as group exercises or role-plays followed by interviews.
Summer Institute
The Summer Institute is an intensive five-week residential training program where participants receive rigorous academic instruction combined with practical skills development through simulated case scenarios based on real-life situations they may encounter as frontline practitioners.
On-The-Job Training
After completing the Summer Institute successfully participants are placed within local authorities across England where they work alongside experienced social workers while receiving ongoing support from their dedicated consultant practice tutor (CPT). Participants will be responsible for managing complex cases involving vulnerable children under supervision while developing their professional skills further.
Leadership Development
Frontline's leadership development program is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to become exceptional leaders in the field of social work. The program includes a range of activities such as coaching, mentoring, and workshops that focus on developing leadership skills such as communication, decision-making, and problem-solving.
Frontline's approach to social work practice and leadership has been widely recognized for its effectiveness. The organization has received numerous awards for its innovative approach to training social workers and leaders. In 2019 Frontline was awarded the Charity Times Award for Best Social Welfare Charity.
In conclusion, Frontline is an organization that is changing lives by creating social change for children who do not have a safe or stable home. Through its innovative two-year program, Frontline is equipping outstanding individuals with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on society and want to become an exceptional social worker or leader then Frontline could be the perfect opportunity for you!
