Loved the photo show of Frieda Kahlo's life. It was special as our daughter was visiting and we had not seen her due to the pandemic for over a year. The exhibit was a sensitive rendering of the times.
My friends and I went on Valentine s Day and had a blast. All the art was beautiful.
Great space and free (with the exception of travelling exhibits). I hope that they bring back some of the outdoor events which were cancelled due to Covid last summer.
The Frida Kahlo in photos exhibit was great and Wear and Peace was interesting but small, but then so is the Frick. It's a great place at a great price
The Frick Pittsburgh museum is the former home of Henry Clay Frick, the coke/steel and railroad industrialist who lived from the 1800s to early 1900s. Several years ago, I visited the Frick s Clayton mansion, art museum, greenhouse, and cafe. Today, I walked around the five acres of land, and I visited the car and carriage museum. I had purchased timed tickets online, and they were FREE! Upon my entering the car and carriage museum, three employees courteously greeted me. I saw many antique cars and carriages, and nearby signs informed me about the vehicle s horsepower, speed, distance, etcetera. Surprisingly, most cars were reasonably priced, although a couple such as Royce Rolls would be worth six figures today. Afterward, I visited the gift shop, where I bought a few items. The cashier was friendly and prompt in her service.
It's free! There is no reason not to go. The exhibits change and are definitely worth checking out.
The Frida Kahlo portraits exhibit was stunning! And I loved the installation piece created by Vanessa German!! And the grounds are beautiful at The Frick, too!!
Very much enjoyed the Frida Kahlo exhibit and the rest of the museum. Also the Car and Carriage museum was very enjoyable with the hood ornament exhibit. Not crowded on a weekday and easy to socially distance!
Nice property grounds, Mansion nor open, no tours or cafe due to covid.. after covid will be back to normal routines at the Frick
