Had a wonderful time at the zoo this weekend with my mom nana and daughter.... beautiful weather we had fun exploring the zoo and feeding the stingrays.

Wow. This place is so beautiful. Haven't been here since I was a kid and it definitely was a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend everyone to visit.

The zoo is always a great time, and the zoo lights were amazing!

Great experience, came here with my family for a birthday. Restrooms were the only thing that I can complain about, they just weren't very clean, but it was the end of the day.

I have to say the Fresno zoo looks amazing. Great place to bring the family. They have done so much renovations that it is a complete new Zoo if you haven't been here within the last 3 years.

City destroyed 2 or 3 acre's of open space within the park. Just 50' south of the dog park is an even bigger fenced enclosure

Families favorite zoo! Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys wildlife. They are undergoing some construction for more exhibits, but there is still plenty to do and see! Our favorite exhibit is the stingray pool! Pet huge rays and sharks! Can't wait to see what is in store for the new exhibits!

During covid, the zoo made changes while still providing an amazing experience. I bring my kids here often and it is always a joy! Come and support this zoo, enjoy the fellowship, and eat the amazing food!

So glad I was able to bring my family here! Affordable, friendly keepers, great selection of animals! And extremely thankful they added the lil water area! Family had a blast and will love to return if the opportunity presents itself again!! Thank you Fresno chaffee Zoo for some great family memories!

The animals are outstanding its a great place to show my grandsons about wild animals in a safer and clean environment. The staff are knowledgeable and are vary patient with my grandsons as well. We love the zoo.

Fantastic a few too many dead ends other than that great experience

Went at school field trip, had done the educational classes it was fun. All-time favorite is the bird show of course.

Fresno Chaffee is always a great time for me and my family. They are continually improving, adjusting exhibits, adding animals and experiences, so that each visit has a good mix of familiar and new. It's great any time of the year. The food is a little overpriced, but you expect that. The animals are clearly week taken care of, and conservation is important to the entire operation.

Very nice place to go with family and not expensive.

For having limited exhibits during CoVid19, it was a great experience.

Absolutely loved our day here! Exhibits were great, the zoo was in excellent shape and even the food and gift items were very reasonable.

Best place in Fresno. I have been going here ever since I could get in for free. I am so glad it is always doing new things, it really has come a long way since I was young, and I am very excited for what the future has to hold for the Fresno chaffee zoo. I am for sure going to always be comeing back for more, for years and years to come.

Love this place for the kids and it's affordable! Only sad thing is, some animals look so sad.

Been going to this zoo for fifty years. Its a tradition in our family. Perfect size zoo.

A local gem. Improvements made in recent years have really paid off. Exhibits are natural looking and layout provides for a "go at your own pace" experience. The African Exhibit is truly beautiful.

A Fresno gem and wonderful family friendly experience. Through Measure Z, the Chaffee Zoo has been able to improve and expand the zoo to make it a quality experience. The new Africa exhibit is really nicely done and the Kopje Lodge has decent food for moderate prices. If you live in the area and have kids or just like having somewhere to go wander I would suggest getting a year pass, it pays for itself in 7 trips. Great place to go for dates without spending a ton of money. Pro tip: If you want to go when it is less crowded, go in to morning. The animals are also more active. During the summer, always go as soon as it opens, before it gets hot.

Tons of fun! Looking forward to the Zoo after the construction is completed. The animals are going to have so much room and will be seen in a much more natural habitat.

In all my adult life I've never been to a zoo and i had so much fun! I love cats so I especially enjoyed seeing the "big cats" ! Watching the handler talk, discuss and train with the tiger was amazing!

Recently they have many projects completed or underway to upgrade the enclosures for the animals.

Animals are 10 times closer than the Wild Animal park in Escondido or the San Diego Zoo, best zoo ive been in my entire life!

Neat little zoo right in the middle of Fresno. The staff are really helpful and even helped us retrieve a phone we dropped in an exhibit while we were there.

Roeding park is fun it just depends on the area you choose to take your kids to. I like going by the water where the ducks are

If you go before the kids get there, about 9 (fieldtrips), then you can have an enjoyable, peaceful morning. The animals are waking and some still sleeping/napping.

Nothing to see most of the cages are empty and those that are open charge you extra to enter. Very disappointed I do not recommend it

We were impressed at the size of zoo. I would like to make some suggestions. Before that , I want to thank you for free parking for disable persons. Also your discount on senior admission. I was surprised to find you offered no discount for vets with disibilities or seniors on you electric carts. Both could really use a break on the $20 dollar charge. Being a senior myself, it is hard to push my husband around in wheel chair up hills or even flat surfaces. We came early because of heat. However when it got hot, you had shade to eat in but it was still hot. I would like to suggest miss
ters in several places. Children become quite heated also. Cooling places would really help them. Also in one area where children feed animals, the soap quickly ran out. You have people selling food, maybe someone could help keep an eye on soap too.
We found amimals well cared for and clean areas they lived in. Restrooms also clean. Overall our trip was a good one and we only cut short because of heat for us. Thank you for asking.

Been there in the past, but it was nothing like this. This visit was spectacular! Our grand kids and us had such a great time. The animals were great, the park was awesome, zoorasic was fantastic.

I have lived in Fresno all my life and watched the Roeding Park Zoo transform into the Chaffee Zoo. This is a zoo the people of Fresno can be proud of. I hadn't been in a few years and was amazed at how big the Zoo has gotten. The exhibits are spacious and there's lots of spots to sit in the shade. Parking is free and limited close to the entrance. You might have to walk a bit from where you park to get in during the weekends. But worth it.

We had a fantastic time! Zoo keepers where extremely nice, helpful, and provided good information. Loved the birdshow, feeding the giraffes, petting the stingrays, and the zoorasice park was awesome. It was so cool to hear the dinosaurs and see them. The the kopje lodge had some awesome food! It was a little pricey but good. I got a turkey wrap and the kids got a personal size pizza. The wrap had some amazing flavor. The kids loved the pizza and actually ate it all. Over all a great experience and will be back.

It was fun! wheelchair accessibility easy to view and get too...extended new area impressed on how bigger the zoo is and beautiful...

If you have not been to the Chaffee Zoo in a long time, I Highly recomend it

Fresno Zoo has changed for the better since I was a kid. The larger animals have larger space to roam. Zoo was clean and seemed to be kept up. I was there last for the zoofari with free ice cream stations throughout. Got to love all the specials the zoo does

Play areas for kids, a lake with ducks. A very nice atmosphere

The Chaffee Zoo never disappoints! All kinds of amazing animals and room for my toddler to explore!

Except for construction its a good place. Go feed the giraffes. It costs a few bucks but the kids love it. Bring hand sanitizer.
