Uncooked rice, raw food. Had to wait in line forever. The only food they serve is 3 cubes of chicken or pizza. Otherwise the quality is bad. Meat has no flavor. They serve the same food over weeks.

Food is very hit or miss. Usually quality is sub-par. The staff are quite inconsiderate, move at the speed of molasses, and act like they hate their jobs. Not a welcoming environment.

Step it up UF.

Perfect place to go for a quick bite to eat even if you're gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian. For gluten-free, they serve pizzas, sandwiches, pasta, and deserts. If you are unsure where something is all you need to do is ask to speak with someone. The staff are very considerate and accommodating to your needs.

anyone who is giving this place 5 stars clearly only ate there for preview...or maybe just one time where there happened to be a palatable menu item offered. Of on-campus dining, it's not even the best, and there's maybe 5 places that genuinely take meal-plan, 2 of which are dining halls. Occasionally, they have good pastas and they almost always have good cookies. Don't go near their salad bar.

Broward Dining, or now Fresh Food Company is a great dining hall. The food is healthy and well prepared, the staff returns a friendly greeting, and the place is especially clean with COVID looming. However, with the recent COVID policy change, the portion sizes have decreased to an unsatisfactory amount of food. Everybody has different daily nutrition needs. I am a very active student and probably expend as many calories as the athletes on campus. The athletes on campus are treated to higher quality food, much more expensive food, in much higher quantities. On the flip side, tonight the meal served was a piece of fish, rice, and vegetables. Reportedly, according to the Gator Dining website totaling to less than 300 calories. AND I AM NOT ALLOWED TO GET SECONDS. I would prefer not to fill up on cookies and desserts. I would like to fill up on the meal served. Worse than this is the situation for my VEGAN and VEGETARIAN friends. In order to follow these diets one must eat large quantities as plant based food is low calorie.

I would like the policy to portion policy to change. Students should be able to eat till they are full. The meal plan is expensive and if we rely on the dining halls, we should be able to eat to satiation.

Okay, I was impressed with the amount of food they have here. I've only been there once so far, so I'm not sure if they always have the same items being served but I hope so. If they do then it's good and there's plenty to choose from. If not then that'll be disappointing. It's kind of expensive so definitely make sure to get all you can eat if you don't have a dining plan.

I have visited Vale twice now. Once on my own and then I took my husband to try. On the first visit an employee carefully explained to me the options and they did again the second visit so no worries if you don t know what s going on! I have gotten the small bowl each time where you get a base (rice, sweet potato noodles, quinoa, etc), a veggie (many options), a meat (a few different chickens, beefs, tofu, shrimp, steak), a topping (whole list of goodies), and a sauce (again with a list of them). My particular bowl was sweet potatoes noodles, buffalo cauliflower (yum!), stewed chicken, corn salsa, and Vale vinaigrette...so good! I was stuffed with the small bowl (~$7.50), and the large bowl comes with 2 choices of each for a couple bucks more. Hubby got the large with all different options and loved it as well.

A 5 star simply because it is what to expect from a good collage dining hall, the food is not mind blowing, but it is always fresh, available in as great a quantity as you desire, and always has at least something worth eating. Breakfast is the weakest meal, dinner the strongest. For lunch and dinner, really good ice cream. Its probably worth the meal plan

If you eat here every day, or rely on it because of meal plan you are simply out of luck. As it stands they are extremely slow, the options are overall unhealthy, and things could be a lot better. The pizza is way too greasy and bad. They always serve the same stuff basically, yet the service can be extremely slow. There are times where food is extremely scarce and finding what you want is seemingly impossible. The staff move very inefficiently and often don t even do their job. Often there are stations that people are not even at and there is no food being offered there. Overall, gator corner does a much better job, yet both options are sub par to restaurants on campus. Do not get a meal plan, prep your own food. The only reason I won t be prepping my own food next semester is because I don t have a refrigerator because my dorm is 200 square feet and we can not have large refrigerators.

The fresh food company likes to trick people at preview. Steak, fast service, food always available... the whole 9 yards. But, once their future victims leave, they take off their mask and boom! the crappiest service I've ever had and/or seen. Food is slow to come out, they undercook food, and they serve almost the same thing everyday. Many workers have bad attitudes and won't take any initiative to help you. Often, UF students are left eating the leftovers that incoming students are receiving. While the food is decent to eat IF you have a meal plan (because you're stuck), they trick unsuspecting kids into buying a meal plan only to be the biggest letdown since Johnny Manziel.

Food was great the only issue was I found German cockroaches all over the milk and cereal station. When I brought this to the attention to the manager she just smiled and said thanks. My wife went up a second time to get the manager again 15 minutes later and all they did to "solve the issue" was take a towel and wipe away the crumbs. Area was not sanitized or properly closed down. Very disappointing to see.

Occasionally there will be limited options and solid waits to get food, but besides that it is really a great dining hall with some fantastic meals and plenty of pretty good ones. A lot of options and really convenient to have unlimited swipes to enter

This might be the worse food that could be possibly served at a college campus. They only serve edible food during preview to entice freshman to buy the meal plan. Then they serve sour rice, old fish, and chili everyday with little quantity or quality. The staff ain't any better. The University of Florida's reputation would benefit from the removal of this establishment and replaced with anything else. Even something like more unused ping tables would be better.

I was happy to escape with my life at breakfast. A good half of employees are indifferent, and the same or worse could be said about management. The problem seems to stem from abysmal employee morale. This is reflected upon the quality of food and overall experience.
Some talking points on food quality are ...
-drink machines are rarely refilled
-long lines at locations where employees were obviously not trained (omelettes)
-lack of food diversity (if you used to like scrambled eggs just wait...)
-meals seem vegetarian centered (not much meat in any of the dishes, probably due to cost)

Some pros are...
-always a ton of fruit
- desserts seem to be at a higher quality
-clean

This review should be seriously considered before purchasing a meal plan. UF's borderline unethical business practice of putting out food of a completely different caliber during preview/orientation should be revised by upper management.

They have pretty decent food here and the selection always changes so you're not getting the same thing over and over. Big note: 10/10 recommend their chocolate chip cookies. Better get them before they disappear!

Regularly, there is a 20% chance of this place having good options. Much of the food is okay at best and only one or two steps above food served at high schools. My biggest problem is with their vegetables, which arent served every day and are almost always overcooked to the point of mush.

Pretty good options for food, even if it doesn't taste 5 star, it's better than public school food. Honestly, just take your mind out of this being a gourmet restaurant and you have a pretty decent option for dining.

Staff were kind and welcoming. A lot of variety to choose from. Vegan food available too which is a bonus. Not too expensive for an all you can eat. Clean and hygienic place . Some staff can make you feel unwelcome but otherwise great!
