They give you old rotten and expired food, help very little if you do not already receive welfare and treat you like they are better than you and the wait is ridiculous, why are our taxes paying for this

A great place to go if you're in need. They have a food pantry where you can pick your own food, which is important to me cause I hate to get food I'm not gonna use when someone else could use it instead. You can also get free birth certificates, help with bills and auto repairs. The downside is the wait time, but it is free so...Everything Costs Something.

About Freestorefoodbank

Freestore Foodbank: Fighting Hunger, Nourishing Lives

Freestore Foodbank is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Cincinnati tristate area for over 50 years. The organization's mission is to provide food and services to those in need while creating a pathway out of poverty. Freestore Foodbank believes that no one should go hungry, and they work tirelessly to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food.

The organization was founded in 1971 by Frank Gerson, who saw the need for a centralized food bank in Cincinnati. Since then, Freestore Foodbank has grown into one of the largest food banks in Ohio, distributing millions of pounds of food each year through its network of partner agencies.

One of the unique aspects of Freestore Foodbank is its focus on providing not just emergency food assistance but also long-term solutions to hunger. The organization offers a range of programs and services designed to help individuals and families become self-sufficient and break the cycle of poverty.

Some examples include:

- Power Pack: This program provides weekend meals for children who may not have access to regular meals outside school hours.
- Healthy Harvest Mobile Market: This mobile grocery store brings fresh produce and other healthy foods directly into underserved communities.
- Cincinnati COOKS!: This culinary job training program helps individuals gain skills and experience needed for careers in the restaurant industry.
- Lift the TriState: This initiative aims to address systemic issues related to poverty by bringing together community leaders from across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Of course, none of these programs would be possible without generous donations from individuals like you. Freestore Foodbank relies on donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities to fund its operations.

If you're interested in supporting this important work, there are many ways you can get involved:

- Donate money: Every dollar donated can provide three meals for someone in need.
- Donate time: Volunteers are always needed at various locations throughout the tristate area.
- Host a fundraiser: Whether it's a bake sale or a charity run/walk event - every little bit helps!
- Spread awareness: Share information about Freestore Foodbank with your friends/family/colleagues via social media or word-of-mouth.

In conclusion,

Freestore Foodbank is an essential resource for those struggling with hunger in Cincinnati tristate area. With its focus on both short-term relief efforts (providing emergency food assistance) as well as long-term solutions (job training programs), this non-profit organization is making significant strides towards ending hunger once-and-for-all! By donating your time/money/resources today - YOU can make an impact too!
