Cool space and facility, people were welcoming at the meetup. However, info on becoming a member and using the facilities was vague and I was told I just need to hang out and volunteer to fix stuff and they might let me become a member if they like me. huh.

Freeside Atlanta
They are a great group of makers and do'ers. Go visit them, and see if you don't agree
Maker space filled with friendly, creative and talented people and all the tools you could want.
Such a large, friendly and fun place. A member took the time to show me around and teach me some basic lab skills, she was extremely generous with her time and welcoming to me and another young chemistry student who also came by. I can highly recommend checking this amazing space out. They have electronics, art, math, chemistry, biology, a nice shop and computer stuff - everything seemed to be happening here. They are a non-profit, so kick in a few bucks if you can. They publish their events online, and it's important to visit at a time when a public event is taking place so you will have someone to welcome you.
Cool makerspace. Friendly interesting folks. Lots of useful equipment for any project. Come for the programming team meetups.
This place is awesome! A lot to do and a lot to learn with a lot of very interesting and cool people!
Huge space with a large amount of tools. I look forward to returning and trying to make something of my own. The people seem fun and knowledgeable too
Come down on the second or fourth Tuesday night of each month for Open House, or check out the Meetup page for events by the month. Radical!!
Call or email ahead if you are new to freeside. The membership process is somewhat cumbersome and confusing but the classes offered that I took so far are outstanding, 10 stars, 200%.
Love it. If u need a place to hang an think and do stuff.... This is it. Think science or arts, if u wanna make it or do it.... This is the place to get it done.
It's an awesome resource for people wanting to learn technical skills
It's a hackerspace. Like a playground for nerds. Electronics, tools, materials. All in a warehouse space. Visit during public meetings or classes.
Nice group of people, but location feels a bit scary
Great group of geeks working together to create an educationally fun experience.
Great space. 3D Printers, laser cutter, CNC mill, electronics work area and parts, table saw and similar, serious metalworking, 1 car bay, vacuum table, and more...
Awesome hackerspace, they gave me a tour on short notice and have a ton of interesting stuff inside. Real nice people too :)
24 hr controlled access, clean restroom for the ladies. A little warm in summer. Tons of tools... Heh.
I showed up very randomly out of the blue and one of the guys who happened to be there at the time took the time out to show me around. Very nice, very friendly.
Caution: Google Maps takes people into the back way, but guests need to know how too get to the main entryway. To get in, you need to know the suite number; you take the immediate right across the front, take the first left after that, and keep going until you see Freeside on the signage. It's an amazing place, they offer talented mentorship, classes, and meet-ups involving some of the smartest people in Atlanta. Membership includes access to the CNC machine, a chem lab, silicone molding, a computer lab set up, and a vending machine where you can purchase an Arduino startup kit among Arduino-powered cloud displays. There's no place like this. Membership is somewhat difficult to obtain, because members have to vote perspective members in for membership to be allowed. Definitely a club to get into if you want some of the most amazing work space in Atlanta.
Best hacker space in Atlanta. Super friendly people and an amazing shop with every tool you can imagine.
Great people! Teachers are very knowledgeable and patient!
