I remember going to this detox facility when I was 18 years old, (8 years ago) I will say this was a good place and I did get some help here. I remember enjoying the group meetings and activities with others going through the same addiction issues I went through.
And I especially liked the AA & NA group meetings, and learned alot from others at the time

This place was horrible. On day 1 of detox they re waking you up early and making you stay up and busy ALL DAY. Paired with forcing bad food down your throat, you re in a bedroom with 5 beds, the patients clean everything (detoxing from opiates?!) half of the staff is great the other half is horrible. The daytime nurse when I was there in early 2017 was a nightmare. They ll make you more comfortable with a Gatorade and a Tylenol. On day 3 I had to go. I felt like it was horribly misrepresented as a good center. Guess what buttercup? They lied. Terribad and dirty. Some staff are kind and caring the rest

if you suspect you may have Schizophrenia.. STAY AWAY.. I went to unc after several unsucsful visits.. unc determind i do NOT have schizophrenia after ONLY 6 HRS and i do hear voices..... so what does that tell u? recoverd drug attics are not pros in any way... they have no clue how to handle DID and associated disorderes..... find a professional for you first visit i talked to a lady who seemed like she knew what she was doing. but still new.. this place would have ended up getting sued by our protector/alter for misdiagnose if i/host had taken meds for something we DO NOT HAVE... the side effects would have caused further dmg to ur system and possible result in mis diagnose from unc.. we went in clean to UNC and talked to 5 real pros in under 6 hrs.. now we only need to find someone for theropy for DID UNC explicitly told us we do not have schizophrenia after us telling them everything because they are actually patient people and have a non biased opinion you cannot have people with a biased opinion working in your facility when it comes to mental health you fux.. so TY for nothing Freedom House... great for drug atics... but thats about it... I would also like to add that Lee Brinn Reviewer is one of our Alters. So maybe Freedom House should start having a professional on schizophrenia dissociative disorders as well as PTSD that entire spectrum that is a non-biased professional based specifically on those disorders you need to have somebody in there at all times in case something like this happens .

This place is not 100% for my condition since they re deticated to substance abuse problems, but I was still happy to get to know this place and I am glad to have found a place that helps those who are not insured and are in need of serious help and recovery. I ve been twice for mental/behavioral health and was able to talk to someone and feel more calm. I felt better once I left!

Mental health"care". I have witnessed one of their employees order an involuntary commitment because they were insulted and yelled at after refusing to leave an ex-patient's property. This is the absurd level of unprofessionalism this place operates on. The employee never faced any repercussion for their unlicensed law-abusing decision.

There is a North Carolina law where anyone with first hand knowledge of a person can request an involuntary commitment through a magistrate. There has been petitions to change this archaic law as it is easily abused, just as it was by one of the employees at this institution. I couldn't believe how Freedom House operated regarding this incident...

Hello, let me start off with I am newly sober and seeking treatment. I arrived at the facility and was turned away after being lied to from the receptionist about placement. I returned the next day and was literally huffed at by the same receptionist about an assessment and told they would see me the same afternoon. Mind you its 1051 am. For some reason she did not want me to receive services that I was desperately seeking. The receptionist is not personable, kind, or business oriented at all. No professionalism whatsoever. I have never felt so defeated in trying to help myself as I did visiting this establishment.
