My all time FAVORITE place to eat!! The food is amazing, drinks always ice cold, the price is right, the service is always wonderful & we always leave stuffed & still have enough left overs for lunch the next day!!! LOVE FREDDY's always worth the short trip from Wausau :)
Ate here on a Friday night at 4 before the crowds. My friend had an enchilada platter & I had a steak chimichanga. The chimi's are huge & so good! The raspberry daiquiri was also very good, they use real fruit puree - not flavoring.
Lived in the area for years and had never stopped and tried Freddy's. Till one day we were sick of the same old and thought we'd give it a try. Oh my, was my family missing out on a gem. Food was excellent, portions were amazing, and the staff (I think owners?) Were exceptional. I definitely would go back, and if you haven't tried Freddy's your missing out.
Oh yum. Where do I start? Freddy's is the perfect place for dinner and drinks. Start with a flavored margarita... tonight I had wild berry. Try one of their many chimi choices or my favorite- the seafood quesadilla. Finish with one of their unique desserts- or take it to go because you definitely won't have room after their large portion sizes. Or end with one of Jim's Mexican grasshoppers made with Kahlua. Don't forget to take pics with their seasonal decorations in the dining room!
We were passing through and saw freddy's from the highway and decided to stop. Our first impression was that of confusion as to the seating situation. You have to first stop at the bar and get a number and menus. Than you sit in kind of a staging area while you wait for your sever to come and take your order(help yourself to chips and salsa while you wait). A little later, the server will take you to the dining area to wait for your food. We were a little put off at first, but the food was delicious,the ambiance was nice and the staff was super friendly. Besides the strange seating arraignments, I thought the prices were a bit high for the type of food($38 for 2 meals and 2 cans of coke), and they do not have drink refills. All in all we did enjoy our experience and might stop in again if we are in the area.
Stopped tonight on our way home from hunting. Heard it a good place to eat. I was amazed at the amount of food each serving was and the drinks were very good. Customer service was awesome. I highly recommend trying it out

Freddys is worth the drive, they have amazing serve food and drinks. There staff are extremely friendly and the owners will always come over and talk with you. They are a small business but a large hearted one, not to mention there Mexican food is amazing!!! I would record this place to any of all ages and they do have a back room that is always festive to the Season which is always worth smiling for 5 out 5 would recommend!
A+....very good food and drinks my wife's favorite place to eat. I see the comments regarding service. We have frequented this restaurant for years and have never been treated poorly. Great food comes into demand and that is a good thing, perhaps a fast food joint would be more appropriate for some impatient Mexican food coinsures!
