We took a walk down to Fred s Bar & Grill yesterday to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed two ice cold beers, an order of grilled calamari and a couple of fish tacos The food was delicious and the beer was great. We were impressed with how diligent the friendly staff were with the COVID19 safety measures - the tables and chairs were sanitized before we sat down, physical distancing measures were followed, and all the staff wore masks (definitely a challenge in the stifling summer heat).
We are looking forward to our next visit.

Place was packed but that did not deter from the experience. Decor is very modern, simple and attractive. Love the TV's everywhere. Tried a pound of hot wings and have not stopped thinking about it since. Will definitely return to try out the menu, as well as get those wings again. Service was moderate, not too long, not too quick. Definitely recommend!

Awesome

Haven't been here for a few years so not sure if it's still the same owner but........ Sunday, Sept 14th, horrible food (wings &, fries) overcooked, took forever to come, I had to ask for the table to be wiped down, and service was More

Exceptional service, modern decor, surprisingly great food. Burger and a pint is around $20.
True Russians eat the Poutine.

The modern granite bar top, spacious patio and mass mounting of TV's all build this pub's modern decor. The service has always been exceptional, some servers even remember your visit and preferences from months prior. The food surprisingly is so good you don't even have to want a drink to stop by. Their poutine I feel is the signature dish being ordered by many and made with hand cut fries, authentic Queubec curds and a rich beef gravy. They also make sure to drop it into the over so the cheese curds melt and the whole thing comes together just like I had in Quebec City. The grilled calamari is also some of the best in the city. Their bar menu offers all the regulars plus some variety like Guinness on tap. This place is worth a trip and lucky you if it's in your area.

Great family run place. They are really nice. Always busy for a reason. I hate to wait but it is worth it and never too long. The grilled calamari is most likely top 3 in the world. Come in and try it yourself. Several televisions for sports. Thank me later.

While the food here is generally good, I recently ordered takeout from here and had an order of fried calamari which is $15 on their menu. When I got home and opened my order, I was disappointed with the abysmal amount of calamari I received. I've even here inside the restaurant before and had the fried calamari and my place was also overflowing with the stuff. I attached a picture of dispicable take home order of it though. Very disappointed that that is what $15 gets me here

4 Stars for the food only. Visited Fred's the first time on September the 12th great experience grilled Calamari, to die for, awesome time. The food so good we went back on the 16th of September around 6 PM. The server got the order wrong instead of the grilled calamari she brought fried calamari, from there all hell broke loose, manager came over arguing about the order. Just bring me what I ordered, problem solved. I don't need the attitude, I just came for the food, horrible experience.

Lively and modern after their renovation. Wings were good, basket of onion rings was also good. Service was good to average; acceptable wait time during a busy dinner rush period. I would like to return and have another basket of wings and maybe get deeper into the menu. It is definitely an above average neighbourhood pub.

Pam was a great server having friendly conversations with my group - even during the peak hour of dinner.

Needless to say the manager on duty, their attention and respect for customers to try and get them seated during the busy hour was great. Also the follow up at the end of the night was a great touch.

Will be back soon.

What do you say about Fred s.....don t judge a book by its cover. It s in a plaza and looks unassuming however you enter into one of the best sports...Nay the best sports bar in Mississauga. Try their well known grilled calamari, it is the same delicious quality every time. Excellent staff and bartenders who remember you after one time. Owners are there on busy times and help get everyone seated. The bar is usually packed but you ll never wait to sit. They aren t your cheap bar with specials, they don t need to be as everything they have is amazing and worth it. They do Oyster Tuesdays, Wings are top notch, spectacular wood over pizza and pasta and sandwiches to die for.
Can t say enough good things. You won t be disappointed.
