I know times are different with Covid, however...some things should happen no matter what. We arrived around 730pm on a Friday. We were seated promptly. We were told they only had 3 servers so we had to go up to the bar to order. Not a big deal....we got our food a little before 8. Food was good. The problem is the staff was cleaning up, ready to go home. Putting chairs up on the tables...all around us. We felt rushed and uncomfortable, not to mention it was loud as they banged the chairs. Don't seat customers so close to closing if you are going to rush us out.

First time dining there and the manager was unbelievably rude to us. We had a party of 15 so the wait staff grouped us in 6's to follow Covid state guidelines, and had to move tables to do so. After we were all seated, the manager came up to us and told us we were not allowed to move tables at all and to get up and put them back to where they're supposed to be. We informed the manager the wait staff moved tables for us to accommodate 6 per table and appropriate spacing between tables to follow guidelines, and she stood there and watched and made us all get up and move the tables and chairs back ourselves before we were allowed to be served. The manager was incredibly rude to all of us and we all agreed to never go back there.

We were so happy tonight with our experience at the Frankenmuth Brewery! Even on a busy weekend, we were still seated immediately at a high-top table. We received prompt service, and were able to order drinks. The American Blonde Ale was a great, refreshing beer. We also ordered the Christmas Town Pretzel which was also incredible, and we loved the spicy brown mustard and the nacho cheese sauce. Both were delicious with the pretzel. Finally we ordered entrees. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pizza and my shrimp po' boy was amazing (the sauce on the shrimp is perfect!) Service the whole evening was attentive and personable. We had a great evening and would highly recommend the Frankenmuth Brewery to anyone looking for a great beer and a great evening in town!

About Frankenmuth Brewery

Frankenmuth Brewery: The Oldest Brewery in Michigan

If you're a beer enthusiast, then you must have heard of Frankenmuth Brewery. Established in 1862, it is the oldest brewery in Michigan and has been producing high-quality beer for over 150 years. Located in the charming town of Frankenmuth, this brewery is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves beer and wants to experience the rich history of brewing.

History

The history of Frankenmuth Brewery dates back to the mid-19th century when German immigrants settled in Michigan. These immigrants brought with them their love for beer and brewing techniques that were passed down from generation to generation. In 1862, John Matthias Falliers founded Frankenmuth Brewing Company, which was later renamed as Frankenmuth Brewery.

During Prohibition (1920-1933), the brewery was forced to shut down its operations like many other breweries across America. However, after Prohibition ended, it resumed production and continued to produce high-quality beers that were loved by locals and visitors alike.

Beers

Frankenmuth Brewery offers a wide range of beers that cater to different tastes and preferences. Whether you prefer light lagers or dark stouts, there's something for everyone at this brewery.

One of their most popular beers is the Hefeweizen - a refreshing wheat beer with hints of banana and clove flavors. Another favorite among visitors is Red Sky Ale - an amber ale with caramel notes that pairs well with spicy foods.

Apart from these classics, they also offer seasonal brews such as Oktoberfest Lager (a traditional German-style lager) during fall season or Christmas Town Ale (a spiced ale) during winter season.

Brewery Tours

If you're interested in learning more about how beer is made or want to see behind-the-scenes action at a working brewery then take one of their tours! They offer guided tours where visitors can learn about the brewing process from start-to-finish while sampling some delicious brews along the way!

Events & Entertainment

In addition to offering great beers and tours, Frankenmuth Brewery also hosts events throughout the year such as live music performances on weekends or special holiday-themed events like St Patrick's Day celebrations or Oktoberfest parties!

Conclusion

Overall if you're looking for an authentic experience at one of America's oldest breweries then look no further than Frankenmuth Brewery! With its rich history dating back over 150 years combined with delicious brews on tap plus fun events happening all year round - there really isn't anything quite like it anywhere else!
