Great location within walking distance to town. Nice atmosphere and Oma's Restaurant offers similar food to the Big Brother Bavarian Restaurant on the strip but at much better pricing. Clean rooms.

Slightly edited for clarity, following the owner's comment to my original review: Outdated, dingy and cheesy, this hotel and the town. We had our 2 year old daughter with us, and we thought that as it was marketed as a family friendly place it would be a good fit for a vacation. Unfortunately, the trip to this hotel, heralded as a top attraction in Michigan was the final straw in our decision to leave the Midwest after having lived there for just a year and already feeling displeased with the region. The food in the restaurant was terrible and expensive. Similar reviews describing the rooms, pool, etc are all accurate. Everything that we disliked about living in the Midwest was found in this hotel - for example, an opportunity to experience a different culture while staying stateside was squandered with an arcade, poorly prepared restaurant food, uncomfortable rooms and more. It could have been really cool. It felt like just a goofy parody of the Bavarian culture though. We left days early.

To the owner: It is possible we booked our stay under my husband's name, and I believe we did so because we received some sort of military discount. It was Fall 2017. Yes, this is a real review with a real opinion of someone who REALLY did not like your hotel. I received several promotional emails from you all recently which reminded me of how displeased we were with our visit, and I felt compelled to write a review. I count on reviews to make vacation and restaurant decisions among other things, and honest reviews good or bad save me time and money. So I choose to do the same.

As an aside - nowhere did I state that your hotel was the reason we left the Midwest - that would be absurd. I said that it was the final straw. Very different statement. I have no idea which of the restaurants we dined in, it was 2 years ago. The memory of the name of it escaped me, but not the experience, cost or quality of the food.

I am sorry that you seem offended. My review stands though.

This is a great place for the family! The children will love it here. They have good food, a wonderful arcade, miniature golf, and karaoke on some nights! They also have 2 indoor water slides, two pools and 2 hot tubs! They have a wonderful play area for the smaller children my five year old loves it! In my opinion the prices are reasonable especially if you have a big family like mine

Went for breakfast buffet on a Saturday. Nothing special about it..might be a little overpriced too. It is loud and busy, so if you want to talk it is hard to hear. Everything is too close together..even the way to get in and out. It seems like your in everyone's way. Food was good but very unexciting.

Fantastic place. Various pools, including a lazy river, make choices abound. The rooms are nice and there are several dining choices. There is a large game room/play area and lota of local things to do.

Everything was very nice except the bartender had to be asked to get back change. Kind of annoying. If the drink costs $5.75 and I pay $6.00, i expect my $0.25 back. Because i can guarantee if i only paid $5.50 they wouldn't be cool with that so why should I?

Good prices for a hotel with 4 pools and 2 large slides. The arcade was a bit expensive, most games costed a dollar. The staff at the arcade was professional and helpful. We avoided the restaurant, as we didn't think the chicken looked good, so I cannot rate that. The lobby was a bit difficult to find since we entered at the big tower.

I feel that this place is a good competitor to Great Wolf Lodge. It may not have a water park but it has 4 pools, 2 slides, gaming place, and kid activities on the weekends. The town of Frankenmeuth is also a cute town to see. The Bavarian Inn also has great customer service and Omas restaurant was awesome! We are looking forward to doing this again soon!

Always a blast. Took kids and grandkids for a night of swimming and arcade games and prizes. Also indoor put put golf. Have been going for years. Very nice clean facility. Great food. Didn't travel downtown this time but usually do. Lots of stores and shops to visit.

Love all the pools and stuff for the kids to do. Breakfast at the Lodge can get really expensive so make sure to pack stuff to eat . . . but also make sure to get dinner down at the restaurant. When you use to buy one get one 1/2 off coupon it makes dinner very reasonable.

The waitstaff was phenomenal, pleasant and courteous. Visited for my nephew's wedding, and never once experienced a problem. We came as a group of 7 three being small children and they managed to stay entertained and engaged the whole time. Love the atmosphere here. First timer, and would definitely recommend this place.

I was visiting for a business conference and I was very impressed. It is such a beautiful space and the food was amazing. We had the fajita bar and the chichen and peppers were cooked right there in front of us.

We could stay at other places that may be newer but the Bavarian Inn Lodge provided a more scenic stay that is more enjoyable. We are within easy walk of downtown and removed enough the have an oasis from traffic and intrusive noise. We also have a balcony with a view of the river.

Enjoyed our stay. Had freezing cold water to wash our hands at the bathroom sink. No matter how long you let the water run it was ice cold. Resorted to using the bathtub to wash our hands. The bathroom had stained ceiling and walls. The rooms need serious updating. But all and all we always have fun here.

Thanks for the explanation. We were in room 330 I believe. The reservation was under my husband's name Jeff.

We stopped in for the family fun center since it was a cold day to walk around. It was a blast and didn't break the bank. Your indoor mini golf was perfect sized and just difficult enough (not 1 in the group shot par). The games were fun and kept my boys entertained. The tickets actually spent well and prizes were point priced fairly. We will definitely be keeping this in mind for future visits.

A group of us (about 16 people) stayed at the hotel and joined the NYE family celebration. The hotel portion was normal and the staff was very friendly. The NYE food was awful. Looking down our long table of people, no one seemed to enjoy it. For this reason, my experience sank to poor levels.

This place is phenomenal! It's great for all ages! When you plan a stay here you don't even need to leave the hotel if you don't want to. There is an arcade, four pools, three hot tubs, mini golf and a couple places to eat! It's truly a great place for all ages and even has water slides! It's also short walk or drive from many other attractions and places to eat. Everyone is polite and very helpful and make you feel welcome

We always have dinner at the Bavarian Inn when we are at Frankenmuth. The key is to get there before 5pm and you should easily be seated. Food was great as always although they do nickel and dime you to death. $2.50 for a kids milk which should be included in their meal is somewhat overboard.
