As a latecomer to current events, I bounced around to various sources to gather information. Of course, I had heard all the warnings about Fox News and other sources (websites, radio shows) that should be avoided, so I obediently avoided them. That decision caused me some great embarrassment over the years as I discussed current events with co-workers and friends. I thought I was so informed and could carry my own in an exchange of ideas and opinions concerning politics and foreign affairs. Time after time, I got my comeuppance after I had posited what I considered a brilliant assessment of the state of things. It seems there were always a couple of people much more informed than I was.

Tired of wearing egg on my face, I began to venture out to the places those "know-it-alls" got some of their info. Fox News was one of those venues. At the same time, I started studying journalism for three semesters at one of the colleges in our city. I encourage everyone to do that. It is such an eye-opener! I can now see things in news reporting that I couldn't see before. Not only am I much better informed, I'm no longer embarrassed by being ignorant on a topic!

The best lesson I took away from this experience? Not to listen to narrow opinions of others--especially when you KNOW they're coming from a biased POV. You can save yourself a boatload of embarrassment! BTW, this advice is only for those who are not afraid of truth. If it's a liberal agenda you want to nurse, Fox might not be for you. The journalists (not the commentators who are admittedly biased) are fair and balanced, as their slogan says. If you're someone who likes to hear only your side of an issue, you won't be able to handle Fox News.

I learn the truth from fox news . I love hannity Ingram angle . the five . don't focus on what the other networks are doing then you start to sound like them .

News presented is well balanced. There could be more international content so that people from other countries can get a balanced source of news and perspectives.

What I appreciate about Fox is that there is a place for everyone on screen; conservative, liberal, socialist, capitalist, libertarian, etc. Generally, I was to hear news, not commentary. But when I listen to commentary, I d like it to be balanced. Therefore, I steer clear of CNN, MSNBC, Tucker, Hannity, and Ingram. But I ll gladly take shows like The Five, and actual news given to us by Bret, Shannon, Harris, etc. Is Fox biased? Yes, but less so than CNN and MSNBC, because I hear a little bit from everyone, even those I disagree with.

Love these guys. All of them. I miss the blonde who moved to Australia... She was my favorite but they are all good except that Juan guy.

The best news outlet period. It was cool getting to visit in person and meeting Janice Dean. I sincerely believe they provide the fairest assessment of the news. They do come across as slanted sometimes but not nearly as bad as the other networks who are laughable in their presentation of the news.

As a Fox News viewer this was a must see while in New York.

Superbly clean, efficient studio and office quarters with very friendly "News Stars" and their staffs in a statuesque building on "The Avenue of the Americas" (6th Ave) between 47th & 48th Sts here in Midtown Manhattan.
