I stayed there overnight for a staff event. My initial encounter with the staff was not at all pleasant. After a two hour drive to the resort, my coworker and I made our way to the entrance. We were in separate cars but driving right behind one another. She spoke to the gentleman at the gate and he let her through, so she moved up a bit and waited at the gate as he spoke with me. I didn't know what house number we were in because we were travelling together, so I informed him that I was here with my coworker up ahead but didn't know the details myself, which is why I was following her. He then proceeded to ask me if I was the housekeeper... Not sure how my response called for that assumption and it was very insulting. However, in order to preserve my mood and make the best of the rest of the day, I simply smiled and told him, 'no, like I said, I'm here with my coworker; I'm a guest.' There was a bit of small talk and he let me go in.

Moving on from that fiasco, we had a cottage and a couple rooms - all amenities were great. The views were also very pleasing. There were a few look-offs and a spot near the water with a few seats where you could watch the sunset.

We had breakfast at Cape Cliff, the Eggs Benedict was amazing. The Hollandaise sauce was rich and the presentation was lovely. I didn't care much for the potatoes. They weren't seasoned and were a bit overdone. Another unpleasant encounter also happened at breakfast. I came in and joined a couple of my coworkers but needed to add a seat to the table. There was an empty table right next to them and I asked the staff member if it was alright if I moved a chair from it over their table, and she initially said no, because they wanted to keep distancing. The dining area was not busy either. Apart from one larger party in that section, the table my coworkers occupied was the only one being used. I'm not entirely sure what the reasoning behind her statement was, but I also didn't want to argue so I just said 'Ok'. Afterwards though, she then said it was fine and we moved the seat over. Realistically, we weren't moving any tables closer together, everything was well spaced and adding a seat to the table didn't put me any closer to anyone else.. It was all a bit unnecessary but she let me join their table without any conflict whatsoever so, I suppose that made up for the initial no.

I got a chance to visit the pool as well. Great size, and there's a mineral pool as well. The hot tub was down though. The girl at the front desk at the spa was so pleasant. I enjoyed my interaction with her. All other interactions I had with the staff were also great. There are quite a few activities to do there as well, fishing, archery, golf of course, bike riding, etc. Overall it's a good relaxation spot, but the racial statement at the start of my stay and the interaction at breakfast really made me feel very unwelcome. Hopefully this treatment was a one-off and isn't done to anyone else in the future.

In my opinion, the #5 best course in the Atlantic Region. Course is not punishingly difficult, but plays extremely long. Par 5s are often 550 yards plus, par 3s are 170. Front 9 are in a mixed forest typical of this region. Back 9 are links-ish with ocean views. Well groomed overall with excellent tees. Greens undulate and challenge. This course was built by the late Tim Hortons co-founder Ron Joyce, and his fingerprints are all over it. Skews towards luxury with the posh clubhouse, spa, airstrip and upscale accommodations. Normal green fees are in the $250 range; I played during 2020 pandemic and it was $125. In the end, this is a luxury family resort with a fine golf course. Purists may prefer Highland Links for it's old school charm, Cabot or Crowbush. Those are more golf with fewer extras, and cheaper as well.

Wow, wow, wow. This resort is a jewel. I enjoyed every minute of our trip. Reservations and front desk were very helpful and kind, Regan particularly. The pro lessons were patient and excellent. The course was in tip top shape. The suite was opulent and very clean. The food in both restaurants was excellent and prices were reasonable. The service overall left nothing to be desired. The grounds are stunning. The skeet shooting instructor was also very very nice and the facility is unbelievably beautiful and well thought out. We all agreed it was an amazing trip and we would like to make this an annual trip. Thank you Ron Joyce for making this dreamy place. It s a great legacy. Thanks so much.

Golfed as part of a Wedding Party. Gorgeous grounds, breathtaking views and all the amenities one would expect and a few surprises. (the pool was one)

Would highly recommend this spot as a Golf destination or a Spa weekend to recharge ones batteries and getaway.
