Nice atmosphere of upscale/country blend. Outstand...
Nice atmosphere of upscale/country blend. Outstanding food.
Nice atmosphere of upscale/country blend. Outstanding food.
Truly enjoy four dogs Tavern and my book club meets there on a regular basis. The food is good and the service is always good. I truly enjoy being outside with a fire pits during cooler weather. It's comfortable, has a beautiful location and setting that is a wonderful romantic place. The views around the restaurant and Tavern are calming and really worked with the restaurant
Beautiful place. Inventive food. Great place for both casual dining as well as celebrating
The food here is so good. The octopus might be the best octopus I've ever had - amazing! Food aside, it's always a good time on the patio - I love sitting outside on the patio playing with other people's dogs!! And when they have live music, it's not overly loud - it's a nice setup. It is quite pricy however, so probably won't be a place we visit regularly unfortunately.
Be prepared to wait and make sure the credit card has some space on it. But it is worth it.
food was great, drinks were great, a bit pricy but I had some extra cash layin' around. I also brought my dog and they didn't have a problem with it which was great. 11/10
Amazing service and the food is good. Would definitely recommend the Reuben!
Great French dip, outside dining was the best. Going back again soon.
This place now is overrated. it's like a hit and miss joint. They have kids running the place now, and it's like a pot luck. nobody knows what they're doing there stay away. Big name for everyday food.
Great place to meet up with friends and awesome food...my favorite time to go is on a Sunday night in the Summer when the have Hague and Dreema...(may have spelled name wrong) but they are awesome!
Wow. Awesome food, awesome service and awesome atmosphere. Locally sourced ingredients combined with creative flavors is a winning combination here.
I had their 10 ounce flatiron steak with mashed sweet potatoes and watercress vinaigrette, one of their specials of the day. Perfectly cooked, tender, with a glace that was incredible. My friend had their homemade gnocchi with shrimp and a basil pesto, parmesan sauce that was also a symphony for the palate.
As an appetizer they offer several "shareable" choices. We chose the broiled briev with huckleberry sauce on top, with crudites. Also wonderful.
I highly recommend this restaurant. I can't wait to return.
Classic rustic Chester County atmosphere, fantastic food, great service.
Good food, good vibe, alfresco dining, weather permitting, and a parking lot. Patio is a lush garden.
For a packed friday night no wait for a table fast service great food everything was great the staff is fast and friendly
A great little stop. Great food. Entertainment outside. A backroad stop must.
Good gawd! This place has the most delicious food! A bit pricey but worth every !
Nice place with good food and service. Excellent out door dining and dog friendly.
Finally returned to one of the best areas in Chester County where Four Dogs Tavern has taken us away! Love the atmosphere , food and drink selection and the fantastic service from Nick ! Highly recommend and will return!
Fantastic! Will definitely be back. Great atmosphere, REALLY good food as well as service situated in a beautiful historic area. Can't say enough good things.
We got out of town to got Christmas tree hunting at a near by tree farm and decided to grab a snack.
Definitely a place you should visit. Food is delish and the staff was awesome!
Not only my entree but seeing each of several friends'choices was a delight. Know that next time I could choose a proven favorite from eight other dishes.
A great place for a date or a family outing. The pub ambience is enriched by the local community's attempt to reenvision the village of Marshallton as a center of Chester county history, going back to the Quaker founding and the Revolutionary War activity along the Brandywine Creek. Don't miss the small historical education center between the inn and restaurant, just by the fire pits. The French influenced food is excellent, and the alcohol list, which includes local breweries, will give you plenty of delight.
Great food and beer. Outdoor seating for the summer.
Prompt service, nice serververs, classic interior and outside service area.
Great food. Nice accommodations with outdoor dining. Under a tent with heaters inside. Great service, very enjoyable :)
This place is top-notch. A treat anytime we go! Great food, excellent service. ..wonderful!
What is happening with the prices? At those inflated rates you d think you ll be getting a top notch meal. $7.50 for a beer... come on now! $14 for wings that were naked and super well done with little meat (fried to hell)
Live down the road but seeing where things are going best for a glass of water at best!
Good food and a great atmosphere. Plenty of parking, but it can get very busy.
Love this place. The food is excellent. The service is awesome.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, lots of menu options, soup and pommel frites were delicious.
Run of the mill food at really high prices. Nothing to write home about. I had the Gnocchi which had some really off flavors and service was excruciatingly slow. My father in law ordered the BBQ pork and it was passable, but not something he would say was "good."
I rarely write a review, but after having dinner at the Four Dogs tonight, I feel compelled to share the fact that it was a very poor experience. Service fine and on point as we have had many meals at Four Dogs, but the quality of food was poor. Specifically, the crab cakes were a sad excuse for a meal and were just a tad bit above eating cardboard. Huge disappointment and my husband was definitely not feeling well after dinner. I note that he is from Maine and rather educated on quality of seafood and the preparation. Have recommended this restaurant in the past, but will refrain at this point and hope a bit of quality and attention is paid to so called specials.
One of my favorites, so cozy and charming. Love the fireplace.
Great date night spot! It's delicious and dog friendly.
Such a delightful spot for outdoor dining! Try it, food's wonderful!
The food is always good. Our server was great. Wish I'd gotten his name to give him credit. I've been going there for about thirty years so to say I'm partial is an understatement.
Amazing food! All local foodies must eat here at least once. Four Dogs has so many delicious options to choose from. Their prices are high, but justified, due to the quality of their food.
Very good food. More on the pricey side but we'll worth the money and time spent there.
This was on my list with my bf to try. Went here for dinner. I got the pulled pork and my bf got the Ruben. Pulled pork was ok.. I was kinda disappointed. Bun was super soggy and not that appetizing. My bf enjoyed his sandwich. Service was very slow... our waitress kept disappearing on us.
Great atmosphere, good grub, has outside dining with fireplace.
Mushroom soup and French Dip were tasteless.
Beet salad was bland. Bees were extremely annoying.. Very expensive for bland food.
Once I realized that this was yes in West Chester, but not the "in-town" part - I could relax and enjoy. The food was EXCELLENT! The atmosphere was adorable - and if I lived closer I'd probably be a regular. I look forward to going back one night when they have live music.
Knowledge and attentive staff. Great food and plenty of Covid safe space to catch up w/ small groups of friends.
Was there for a scotch tasting; fantastic experience, wonderful atmosphere, on-point deliciousness, new friends & great whiskey.
Food was very good service was very slow disappointing lunch was 3 hours
We went for brunch and sat outside with a few young kids. It's a perfect spot to be outside enjoy good food and you don't have to feel too bad about the noise level of the kids!
The food here is really good. They have simple food, too. But the chef can knock it out of the park on the dinner menu. Truly Continental dining options.
Love this place. Was here a few weeks ago with friends and had a great experience. Came back again for a birthday celebration for my stepdaughter. Another great time. Can't wait to return
Off the main road.. appropriately placed for a wonderful get away back to a time gone by.. feel of a real 1700's tavern.
Fun eats, cheese fondue, calamari. Thursday and Sunday night's live music.Music was sweet duo ..very nice the night we visited.
Love this place! Outdoor seating allows dogs. Service is good, food is extraordinary!! Mushroom soup is to die for!!
Day after our Wedding family brunch. Excellent service , friendly staff and food was hot and delicious. Sofi took the time to design menus that matched our wedding invites! Thank you Sofi for making it extra special and memorable. We definately recommend anyone in the area to stop in for a bite. Well worth it!
Had a great time. Food was tasty! Service was quite nice and professional . The drinks were a bit pricey, but all in all an excellent lunch was had by myself and the group of four others! Nice job. They also allow you to bring your dog there which I think is way cool!!
The grilled double decker Reuben is great, and filling. Comes with fries and pickle. Restaurant is in historic Marshalton a few miles outside of West Chester. Casual relaxed dining. Can get busy at peak times.
Great flat breads & mushroom soup. Really cool environment
A great restaurant with outdoor seating. Consistently good food, a good draft beer selection, and we can invite our dog gives it two paws up.
Nice patio out back that allows dogs. All the owners kept their pooches leashed and quiet. Food was good but a little pricey. We split the special which was billed as a cheesesteak fondue but it didn't resemble fondue at all. It was more appropriately described as a deconstructed cheese steak in a skillet with baguette slices on the side. Still good just a bad description!
With the Pandemic my wife and I sat outside under a canopy setup and found all food and service to be very good.
We will return later when we can experience the real interior charm and ambience of this historic eatery which is part of the Marchalton Inn.
So very comfortable both inside and out. This time I stayed inside and I swear I was transported back to Ireland!
First Sundays Larry Roney sings. Very dog friendly patio. Get your dog a pup burger or two. Save room for Frozen Lemon Meringue Pie.
Nice place to eat on the outdoor patio. Good fresh food.
Appetizers & Steak was very good. The waiter was very good & attentive to our group of 10 people. I didn't like that I could not change the side that went with the steak. Do not like brussel sprouts that went with the 12 oz steak. & asparagus & potato au gratin that went with the 6 oz steak they were not able to be substituted. I was not the only one in the group who didn't like the no substitute.
Definitely very expensive but overall the food is okay the crab nachos are to die for You must try them I give it 3 and a half Stars...
Food was a big disappointment. Clam soup had 2 clams floating in a tasteless tomato broth. Ruben left a lot to be desired. Nachos were decent, presented on an old cedar shingle. Interesting. The burgers were pretty good but the fries were mediocre - regular frozen ones coated in rice flour. Could have been way better!
Great food in huge portions. Yes, its expensive, but the portions are huge and the quality is excellent...
Always great service here! My husband is on a mission to find the best French onion soup and so far no one has come close to Four Dogs'. We love the prosciutto flatbread and I always order the seven hour pork. Ask for au gratin potatoes instead of slaw for a truly sinful meal!
