Photo academy has its pros and cons. Unfortunately I quit the training after a year. It is a very commercially oriented school and mainly focused on bringing in new students and not on the quality of education.
It is an old-fashioned course with old and outdated assignments. Lessons mainly consist of some photo reviews with little content. The assignments you receive are not discussed but you have to figure it out for yourself. Because of this, everyone always makes the first attempts wrong. Teaching material is not discussed. You should be lucky that you have one of the few good teachers.
What Fotoacademie is proud of is the mentor system. The intention is that you ask everything about this, but they send you away with more questions and everyone contradicts each other. For me (and many students) this is a worthless system.
Almost all students dropped out after 1 year, mainly because the quality offered by Fotoacademie is totally out of proportion to the tuition fee of almost 6000 EUR per academic year. Really no idea what you have to pay so much money for. The studios and classrooms are poor and the quality of the training is worthless.
During corona, Fotoacademie decided to do everything online. Online quality has gotten even worse. Students' complaints were not listened to and nothing extra was offered.
Unfortunately, the Photo Academy has turned into a disappointing experience. I would advise everyone to spend your money elsewhere on some targeted workshops.
