a friend and i went for a little bingo therapy and had a great time even if we didn't win big - prices for matinee were reasonable and non smoking room was nice - set up with free coffee-tea and sodas - if you go get your fortune member card (its free) brfore you buy so you can start getting points for discounts and free stuff - they also give you a $10 and a $5 (for your email) credit to use on some of the slots that day - they call numbers at a nice slow rate so easy to keep up - staff were friendly and helpful - restroom and snack bar close by - we did try to go eat in one of the restaurants in casino part but they don't have a gluten free menu and my friend is medically gluten intolerent so we weren't able to try it

I like the Bingo here but the casino it's self is small and has bad ventilation. Not really a party casino, it's more of a place to take your Grandma. Bad location.
Ember Restaurant was THE best when we dined there last Halloween night. The best service, ambiance and most importantly, food! We went again last night on Thanksgiving. Ambiance and service were perfect. We started with the Seafood Tower. Very impressive presentation but be careful ! Raw shellfish can cause some real issues. I'm sure it was just a coincidence, but an hour after we left the restaurant my stomach was in horrible shape and it continued until the morning. I was the only one that had the oysters on the half shell. Enough said about that! One of us ordered the lobster tail(good!), one had the special Thanksgiving turkey dinner (just okay), and I ordered the Wagyu Striploin. I missed the 4 letter word on the menu (spelled Ujih) describing the sauce they put on it. Today I Googled the name to no avail. Maybe a typo or proprietary term? In my opinion it tasted like a form of Curry. Ugh. The taste of the side of risotto (plated together) was influenced by that sauce as well. Ugh again. I told the server my thoughts on the sauce, and as I scraped it off he brought me a fresh plate and gave me a baked potato as a side. The damage was done on the Striploin but oh well. It was MY fault for not questioning what is "Ujih" sauce AND I REALIZE "taste" is subjective! UPDATE!!! I heard back from this restaurant. From the email, it was clear they strive to make dining there a real pleasure! It's refreshing for a restaurant to take the time to ask you to return and give them another chance.
After losing all of my money, I'm just hanging out in the parking lot at 4 am, not bothering anyone or making any excessive noise. Then suddenly I'm approached by a police officer questioning why I'm here. There are plenty of other cars in the lot so I'm not sure as to why they would approach me. They stated it was because of a welfare check, however after questioning me I'm not sure why it's necessary for me to produce my identification just for sitting in my car. I feel very unwelcome here and will never visit this location again!
Can you give zero stars? This place extremely reeks of cigarette smoke unlike other places. Came here with friends while we were at saguaro park. This is the worst casino.
This is my favorite AZ casino and they are going through some renovations right now. The new casino looks like it's going to be sweet! I have one a lot here, lost a lot here, and had some good times. I play bingo, slots, and cards. It is a casino so you won't always leave a winner but always a good place to go chill listen to some live music (mostly good...) and kills sometime. Cheap drinks as well, food is good. As long as I am in AZ Ft. McDowell will be a stop for me.
The Fort is my new Favorite casino! I did have a hard time deciding on what games to play there was so many options but I left with more $ then what I went with!! Deffenitly will be going back there soon
We went for the Sunday prime rib and seafood. The food / dessert selection was not as large as other casinos that's the only reason for the three stars. Our server did a really good job , I was really happy with her.
Nice casino. Games r fun and pay good. Staff is helpful and friendly. Property is clean and we'll kept. I dont have to wear a g mask and u can smoke inside.
It was a fun trip out there... But make sure u pack a drink and a snack for the ride.... & Also make sure everyone tries to use the restroom before leaving on your journey... Because its pretty much like taking mini Road trip to go out there... I know from where i stay to Ft. McDowell Casino It is Like Just Over a 60 Minute Drive there!!! And then After Losing feels like Another 12 hour drive back (If You Leave there A Loser!) (Which Obviously I Did!)
But overall the casino out there is way fun.. There is this one Penny machine there that i love to play... Its like a double bench seat to sit on.. So my hunny can sit and play with me if he wanted!!! Which once he was done playing is what he did... I think i sat on that machine for 3 hours the day i went... But the time before i sat and waited for that machine for 2 hours... So at least i got play time on it this visit...
BUTTTT ~My Only Complaint with this place was ~~> Playing BINGO!!! Dont Do it!!!! Dont wAste your Money!!! So when i went there my roommate was getting ready to leave because they were done playing after winning $60... Well i didnt want to leave yet... So i decided to go check out the BINGO!!!! SO I Went decided to buy a $50 ticket to play with ... You can spend up to $150 for tickets(Ummmm i thought no thanks!!!) So i spent $50... Well then my roommates decide they want to stay and play too... Well they were broke by that point... So i offered to pay for them too... Well next thing i knew i was $150 into this Playing BinGo thing!!!! Shoulda spent it on myself... Maybe i would of come a lil closer to winning... Well so we all sit down to play... And they announce that the bingo runs for Three and a half hours!!!!!!! Thats not even including the last 4 games that were games we didnt buy.... So 4 hours for bingo!!!! Wow!!!!! What?!?!?! I had to go buy 2 alcoholic beverages just to get thru the damn thing.... Im talking the most boring 3 and a half hours of my entire life.... And didnt even come close to winning on A Single Game!!!!! Talk about Sum BS!!!!! Rrrr! So yeah .... If u go.... Play sloTs!!!! No BINGO!!! NO WAY!!! DONT DO IT!!!! Plenty of other ways to SpeNd $50 while you're visiting this place of entertainment!!! Did you know that is what people Call Arizona Casinos~~> A Place Of Entertainment!!!! WeLL if u wanna enjoy ur Entertainment... Then remember my advice!!! And Also To JusT Have FuN!!! N
The place is smokey, no question about it. I never walk into a casino thinking anything else, including the Vegas ones. They had good happy hour and drink deals. $1 8 oz beers all the time which is pretty good anywhere. We played pai gow and the dealers were friendly, knowledgable and pleasant. The tables were nicely felted and the chairs were clean and comfy. We played video craps which really isn't bad at all. If you are a craps player it's not the same as having dice in your hand but still fun.
Dated. Did I mention that it is now longer fresh and vibrant? New casino is currently being built, .... GOOD, this old one smells of a used ashtray, for a non-smoker, it's tough just walking through.
Wasn't totally full of cigarette smoke, better than most. Poker room was pretty dead, ate good sushi, lost a few hundos quick at the tables and blew out of there.
Be careful using their ATMs I got charged 11 times 2.50 for 2 withdrawals. When I called they could see the charges and did not want to make it right. Told me i needed to contact the atm people. That is fraud. What a scam
Service for drinks at the card tables are slow. No incentives to come back and play. The place smells like an ash tray. Food at the Red rock buffet is average. Nothing else to do in area, at least Talking stick has top golf, an aquarium, Great Music, concert hall and excellent food at the steak house with amazing views. Fort McDowell only gets customers/players cause it's the closest to Fountain Hills, and seems like a casino of retired people.
This used to be our favorite casino. Since they started building the new casino it seems the machines are not paying out like they used to. Very friendly, nice location, and you can hop on a bus to take you there from various locations around town. The resort is very nice.
Fort McDowell is a pretty good Casino in the area are recommended over the bigger ones got a lot of older machines and the staff is friendly plus it's out of the way so I'm so most of tweakers or elsewhere like at casino Arizona
I've never won so much at a casino before coming here. This casino has a nice atmosphere, but you can get lost so remember which door you came in. I always felt safe and it wasn't overly crowded. Fun place to play and it does pay out!
The new Wekapa casino is amazing so nice big and number 1 plus no smoking so you can breathe in there! They do have nice sitting areas outside for smokers.
I think Fort McDowell is one of the better Casinos in the valley. As with the hotel, they are doubling their size with brand new construction and adding more gaming. They have several good restaurants and a good variety of gambling. Will look forward to the opening of the new space next year.
Meal special for lobster was very good. Constantly brought fresh cooked lobster out - cooked just right . Also prime rib was very good. The waitress kept the table clear of empty plates. Also to reduce the price of the meal we received a promo card that also gave us $10 each to play free in the casino. Great meal and fun time
