Absolutely the best place ever to foster kitties! I fostered adult special needs cats through FCCRSNC until I finally found my perfect match. I adopted a sick kitty with FeLV/FIV and he was my best friend for 2.5 years until he finally passed away.

The Cat Rescue (now Animal Friends Alliance) is a great place to foster or adopt your new best friend! As a foster family they provide great support for the kittens in our care and make the experience simple and fun. Highly recommend either adopting or fostering from here.

I took my dog here to get spayed and she ended up getting kennel cough and an eye infection, not to mention they shaved her sides too low and gave her really bad razor burn. I would look into other places to take your dog to as in the end my poor fur baby was in way more pain then needed.

Greta place for finding cats of all kinds. They have specials for animals all the time including reducing or eliminating adoption fees for older cats. They also clicker train some cats and they have a low cost spay and neuter program. Great non profit

I've been trying to find the words to explain how disappointed I am in our one and only experience at the spay and neuter clinic. When I called to make an appointment, I explained to the lady on the phone that our kitten Rose was needing vetted, she used to live on a farm and was born a "barn cat" but wasn't going to be let outside if we could help it. Of course with her history of being a "barn cat" I wanted to take every percaution to make sure if she were to slip outside, she would be fully vetted, spayed, etc.

I was told by the lady on the phone that the recommendation would be the "barn cat" package where they would fully vet her, spay her, give her the vaccines she needed and they would do a "small cut" to her ear signifying that she was vetted/spayed if she was picked up by animal control.

On Friday we brought our sweet Rose in to get spayed and when we picked her up Friday evening the "small cut" in her ear appeared to be about a quarter of the cartilage of her ear. Whoever cut her ear must have either not been trained properly, was in a rush (which rushing with a scalpel is not okay) or just didn't care about what they were doing.

While it is not painful to Rose, which I am very much so thankful for, I am writing this review in hopes that whoever did this gets properly trained in how this procedure is done.

I've spent time over the weekend talking to vets, vet techs, volunteers, etc and showing them pictures and every single one of them says that this was excessive. There should have only been a small, triangle sized notch on the corner of one of her ears where it is hardly noticeable.

I'm not expecting anything to come out of this review other than a hope that the person that did this be properly trained in how to do these types of procedures.

If I can save one cats ear from being hacked off, I've done what I set out to do. This could have very well been much worse and I'm elated that I am more bothered by this than Rose is.

Thank you for your time. I want to say the saying is true, you get what you pay for, but I have a lot of friends that have had very positive experiences with your clinic, my fur family is just not one of them.

We got Nero the big black cat from the cat rescue, soon to be Animal Friends Alliance, a little over 2 years ago. He's our third all black rescue cat and he's so special to us. He loves to give hugs and play with his cat brother.

I'm also a volunteer at the cat rescue. The staff and volunteer community is amazing. They care so much about the animals and the people they work with and it shows.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do for us. I've made friends both human and feline here.

I used to volunteer for Fort Collins Cat Rescue and will do so again whenever I get to move back to Colorado. Having been around a bit, I can tell you that this is a first-class organization. The number of kitties they save is enormous. The staff is passionate and great at what they do. They do great work for the community. I'm happy to donate to them every year because I know that my money is being well used. Please go check them out!

Rescued our adorable kitten Fish (formally Charlie) and he's the best little addition to our family. After losing our sweet boy Rain 7 months ago we were ready to open our hearts to a new kitten and this amazing organization made it so easy for us to find our new family member. Thank you!

A great service to Northern Colorado. Take our kitties to their vaccination clinics. Very affordable and no vet office fee, just the price of the vaccines. Get there right when they open though or you ll have a long wait.

I had my dog spayed and chipped at the clinic about 18 months ago. Everything went well. Last month, I had a second dog neutered and chipped. I wanted to have the second dog registered with the same organization as the first, the AKC, but that was no longer a choice. Rather than put the dog through the chipping process without anesthetic later, I agreed to use the 24petwatch program. Later, I found that this organization charges $21.95 a year for their service, due annually after the first year. The staff at the Cat Rescue did not tell me. If I had known, I would not have had the dog chipped with 24petwatch. The good news is that the AKC will let you register any chip for $17.50 online, and you receive a metal tag with the information. After that the service is free.

My cat was supposed to be ready for pickup at 5:00. They called and said things were moving slower than expected and it would be between 5:30 and 6:00. I asked what the very latest I could get her was and they said they only stay until 6:30. I asked my dinner company to come at 6:00 so I had time to pick up the cat. Cat Rescue refused to give my cat back at 5:30 and said it would be at least 6:30. I explained that I have spent weeks assisting with spay/neuters in Central America and had even volunteered in their facility years ago and was capable of monitoring the cat. I asked if she could stay the night if they weren't going to let me take her. They said that would be fine but she would be alone. They'd rather her stay there alone than go home with me an hour early! TOTAL IDIOTS! "We can't let you take her because she may not get the care she needs but she can stay here over night alone" SERIOUSLY? I can't believe I trusted my animal to them.

We adopted an 11 week old kitten. She is an awesome kitten. Her transition into our home has been super easy...we have 2 adult cats and a dog. I believe her foster caregiver was wonderful, thus her time in her transition room was only 5 days. We couldn't have had a greater experience!

I recently adopted a cat, Nessie (previously Jinx), from this wonderful organization. They took the time to pull all available information on any cat I was interested in and made sure any cat would be a proper fit in my home since i already have one older cat. They were very open about past medical issues she had that luckily seems to have only been caused by unavoidable shelter stress. She settled in very quickly and despite my plans for taking a week to introduce her to the rest of my apartment she had her own ideas and within a few days had made herself completely at home. They also called a week after I adopted her to make sure she was settling in and provide lots of resources to help your new cat be the perfect fit.

These people are working hard to keep their service open. Curbside delivery of your fur-baby, they take care of all the paperwork, and they were pretty quick with the surgery. Glad to give a donation on top of the fee!

I adopted two kittens from this shelter and I ve been in love with them now for almost two years! If it weren t for the shelter s efforts with treating ring worm, we never would have found each other and I m so grateful they have those facilities

I did a lot of research to decide where to have my dog neutered. I ended up choosing Animal Friends Alliance because their reviews were a step up from every other clinic I had looked at. Fort Collins is over an hour away from me, but for a surgery, that was not an issue. When I checked in, I was asked if I wanted to have my dog's nails trimmed while he was sedated. I declined this offer and saw the employee write down my answer. Not only does my dog patiently let me clip his nails at home, they had been clipped just a few days before surgery and absolutely did not need to be any shorter than they already were.

When I came back later that day to pick up my dog, I noticed that they clipped his nails anyway. This came as quite a surprise to me since they absolutely did not need to be trimmed and there was documentation showing I declined the offer. Each nail was clipped at a different length than the last. Since they were already plenty short before dropping him off, the angle of the cuts ended up being very poor and the quick was hit on some of them. This is absolutely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of attention to detail both at a process level and at a dog grooming level. Very disappointed by this.

EDIT: As Animal Friends Alliance mentioned in their reply to this review, they did leave me a message on my phone about this issue. They left me a genuine apology and said they talked with their staff about what happened to make sure everyone checks if the owners want their dog's nails clipped or not. I really appreciate the message they left and have updated the rating accordingly.

We adopted or kitty here, it s been three years and I am so happy this is a true no-kill shelter. I now foster occasionally for them, all the work they do is amazing, while being so organized and helpful. I recommend Fort Collins Rescue to everyone I speak to who are interested in adopting, or even spay/neuter.

I was so worried for my kitty but she was in great hands. They are total cat people which made me feel so much better. Answered all of my questions and she healed up great. This organization is doing wonderful work and deserves many kudos. My vet tech friend recommended because she says they use great equipment and a good anesthesia cocktail. She was right my baby was taken care of properly. Thanks cat rescue

I had recently lost my best friend Sassie and went to the shelter to donate her stuff. They were very understanding and sympathetic towards me. This is a very nice no-kill cat rescue, very well maintained with a veterinarian on the premise. I hope that if anyone decides to add a kitty to their family, they will consider coming here and get their new family addition from here before going anywhere where else.

This organization, staffed by many dedicated volunteers, really care for these unfortunate cats. Love, is not sufficient, so they ensure that they fulfill the most critical needs: clean, roomy cages, separate litter areas, toys, food and water, scratching posts, etc. In addition, they have vet exams, training clinics for shy or unsociable animals, spay/neuter services, they "chip" all of their guests, screen potential adopters, and keep thorough and excellent records. They offer tips on cat behavior and allow visitors to open the cages to interact with the cats, as long as they take note of "special circumstances," like "new and shy" or "don't let loose with other cats." This is a splendid, no-kill organization and I recommend it heartily.

Wonderful kitty adoption experience in this pandemic time. Great people. Filled out a questionaire ahead of time. Could have gotten an appt within a few days but needed it a couple weeks out because of travel. Communicated via email and they confirmed appt the day before. Adopted this awesome little kitty that was rescued from the dallas area!

I take my dogs to their vaccine clinic. I also got my girl spayed their. She healed with zero complications and they did great work. They provide an option for people who can't afford a regular vet. I really appreciate what you guys do here.

I absolutely cannot stress how much I like these guys. The staff is so friendly and genuinely care about your pet. I had my cat spayed, and received first class treatment from start to finish. The couple of follow up calls (even weeks after) was a nice touch to really show they cared. I hope many more people donate to their cause to help them continue their great work.

I brought my cat, Phoenix, to her regular vet who diagnosed her with Pyometra and told me the bill would be $700 with them. With trying to put myself through school at the moment, that was not possible. They recommended that I go to the Spay and Neuter Clinic. I called them up and one of the first things Jack said was that he cared more about my cat than my money.

I brought her there and they spayed her with medications, overnight hospital care, and kept her hydrated all for $350!

I've had really bad experiences with vets and other places caring more about the money. They'd let your furry loved one die if you didn't have the cash up front. Because of that, I don't trust most vet clinics.

Let me say, I was astounded by the remarkable service this clinic has provided my baby girl. This is the kind of clinic that every pet owner dreams of existing. They're all so friendly, thorough, loving, and really make sure you understand everything they're talking about. I love, love, love this clinic and highly recommend every pet owner come here for spaying, neutering, and vaccinations.

The staff and volunteers are extremely passionate about making every cat a healthy and wanted pet. Cats are not euthanized unless quality of life has been compromised. This organization commits to caring for the cats in their care until the cats cross the Rainbow Bridge.

We adopted a 12 week old kitten today and had a great experience. We have had terrible experiences with our local humane society and I was anxious about adopting from a shelter, but I can highly recommend Fort Collins Cat Rescue. The cages are clean, the cats are healthy, and they are particular about how you handle the kittens to prevent disease spread. We did not feel pushed to adopt from them, but we didn't feel snubbed either. They made us feel comfortable and allowed us to take our time looking at each cat available. We brought the little fluff ball home and he is adapting well!
