Food Lion Grocery Store Review

Everything was well organized they have a walk in cooler for all the fresh fruits that I absolutely loved! They have a wide variety of products to choose from in even seen some of the newer items I've been wanting to try on commercials. Friendly staff and helpful. Definitely save a lot of money using your mvp card and food lion has an app now to save even more my grocery bill was $195 and with the app and in store coupon machine and mvp card it was $114 and some change definitely recommend shopping here.

Very clean. Friendly employees. Just been renovated not too long ago. I prefer this particular store when shopping because of the people and the familiarity with them and the store.

I love our food Lion. Food Lion has really taken a step up in a positive way with the renovations and the redistribution of inventory and pricing.

I like this location because they offer a variety of items that aren't available at the other area Food Lion stores. Their produce is very fresh here and the quality of items seems to be higher end (closest to the Country Club). Staff is friendly and store is always very clean.

Yesterday I was out in field service am one of Jehovah s Witnesses so around 11:30 am we stop there to use the bathroom and get something for lunch and I have the chicken from there and we pay and we did the Public Witnessing Carts until about 2 pm then after worked until about 4 pm stay home had dinner this morning I woke up with stomach pain and I think I know why the chicken at food lion has Bacteria and it made me sick.

This Food Lion has my upmost respect today. I'm a proud MVP customer... and I activated the Shop & Earn Rewards.. so my total was 2.56. Can you believe it? Well it's true. So to all my Food Lion shoppers, u should sign up for it... I'm just still in awe

Food Lion Store #0001.... this is the original store from 1957. Was called "Food Town" back in the day. Salisbury is still the corporate hometown.

Not a great part of town, but the selection is fair, folks are friendly, and prices pretty good. Recently renovated.

Good prices! Cashiers aren't always the friendliest though.

Seems this place is never crowded (makes for a nice shopping experience), the staff always super friendly and the selection, while not always what I'm looking for specifically they usually have an alternative. Decent prices too.

Food Lion a lot of free stuff appears to be high in the people a lot other people not always choose to be people-friendly

I've seen some improvements over the last few months with customer service and product offering. Still no bicycle parking. Otherwise, it would have been 4 stars.

Different some what clean customer service is not there u ask a mgr for something and Tell s a other employees to point u in the direction and not show u ,,, really,,, wow I have found this to be common in a lot of the stores lately go to Publix or another store

They have a large variety of specialty items. This location (and the others in town) offers more and better selections than my neighborhood location. I never understood why.

Staff very friendly in the midst of this pandemic. Shelves bare in various departments. They are doing the best they can when unhelpful people are hoarding.

Food prices are WAY TO HIGH! A simple can of tuna about 25 cents at walmart or aldi is 1.19 at food lion. Will not shop there. A buggy that i figuerwd would be about 80.00 come closer to 120.00 forget that i will spend my mo ey elsewhere

This store in general is typically very friendly, very clean, well stocked, and staffed. They usually have everything I'm looking for at a good price too. Of course you get better deals if you have their rewards card. I definitely prefer stores like this over big corporations.

The associates here are incredibly friendly, one of my favorite grocery store locations to go to.

I just got home from shopping at Food Lion and it's only 4 miles from where I live. There prices are like most other stores
But not as cheap as Aldi.

Food Lion is always clean and the Food Lion Team is always kind and helpful.

I actually like this food lion and although it's somewhat antiquated due to its age ( it's literally food lion store #1) so it has many things missing the larger new stores carry, it's convenient and staff is pretty friendly .As 20 plus year grocery store manager and dept manager I do take issue with the deli department, they will keep thier backs turned to you for 10 minutes and not offer to help you.
It's happened twice ,I've told store management twice and last week itg happened to my friend andc his son ,who also complained .
Store management does not seem to care .it's not the only man back there it's the specific group of girls complaining loudly about thier home life.
This is why they rate 3 stars

Always have a decent experience at Food Lion. Home town store that still trys to keep the locals happy.

I just heard that the manager at this store fired a young man due to the fact that he had to miss work due to doctors pulling him out of work! That is abit unfair on that young man. I will be taking my shoping else where. I believe the managers who put this in to motion need to have some sort of punishment done toward them. Such an unfair movement.

Love shopping there and they have very friendly associates.

Wonderful meat department Mr. Brotherton is very efficient .

Customer service is still dead and food lion doesn t enforce social distancing at all... leaving this responsibility to individuals to do right thing just doesn t work! Individuals don t care until it happens to them. And FL dang sure doesn t care as long as your money is being spent in its stores! Food lion does NOT care about its communities and the people in them. Just the money. (And only shopping for instacart not myself!)

Customer service is dead. And lately theres always food lion mgmt, execs, emps roaming their floors and they ALWAYS ignore customers which blows my mind but explains a lot. Go here for location, prices, so as not to deal with Wal-Mart location, crowd. I truly miss local, non-corp stores. Im working my way to buying online thru Amazon. So u still have my biz for now FL but not forever.

Keep your eyes on this site and I have been working on the project and the second one is the first time that a lot of people in the United States and Canada is not the case with a few years.

Very close to home for me shopping here is nice. I wish they had more beef and pork choices with stakes and some ribs. But I like coming here due to this store not being so crowded.

A very helpful young mam in the meat department and also at check out. I love this store.

People need to wear masks and follow the one way directional arrows to shop aisles

When I went in the lady was waiting on someone she finished she said she will be there in a min.A minute never came,another lady came and waiting on me and I give her 5Star.

Quality shop. Good for a quick visit or for a bi weekly shopping excursion with the whole family. Only reason for the 4 stars not 5 is Walmarts not that far away and the prices are cheaper

The customer service is easy to cash checks and get money orders etc

I Love Food Lion. Friendly, helpful, and the caring individuals I've ever seen. I know they give back to the community. But I have personally been on the receiving side of that generosity. Yes indeed I love Food Lion.

Food Lion was great! Found what I was looking for, got in got out at an acceptable time with no waiting. The store was clean, and the products were placed very neatly on the shelves.
