Captain Kyle is a great guide and his demeanor and patience are second to none. He works well with my clients and really helped my young daughters enjoy their first trout fishing experience too (14 & 11). Everyone I have taken has raved about the experience. I highly recommend him.
Would book again in a heartbeat. We had to reschedule and Kyle couldn't have been anymore accomodating. As first timers we had the best time. These guys really know the Tuck River.

Our guide's expertise was more than evident as he took constant note of all of the elements to ensure we not only caught fish, which we did, but that we had a good time. I have been on two trips with Captain Kyle (so far) one bass fishing from his boat and one wading for trout. Captain Kyle is the textbook model of customer service!! He put us all over the fish both times we were with him. I had customers of my own I took on both trips, and Kyle taught me a thing or two about how to treat customers!

Captain Kyle was amazing his knowledge of the River and his knowledge of trout fishing was unbelievable. I stopped counting after the 10 fish I caught. Very professional and yet it was like fishing with a good buddy. If your near Bryson City check these guys out!
Highly recommend! My wife and I had a great time! Justin was our guide and he was exceptional. With it being our first time fly fishing they got us on a 4 hr float. Justin was very patient and easy going. Taught us both a great deal about the fish and their habitat. We will be coming back next year and booking again!
An awesome fishing trip on Lake Fontana. My friend and I caught several bass. But it was Kyle that made the trip. Kyle is a natural fishing guide; knowledgeable, talkative, friendly, and also very business-like. He has a Merchant Marine Credential which allows him to guide all over the world and enter foreign ports. That impressed me.
I certainly learned a lot.
I have used many guides over the years and this is my first time actually doing a review. Fontana Guides led by Kyle Fronrath is an absolute jackpot with the easy access to the river and his wealth of knowledge of the river is priceless. We had the best time catching fish and most importantly creating some great family memories. It s not often when your 21 year old son turns off his cell phone besides taking pictures of the fish we caught. Fontana Guides offers so many different avenues besides Trout fishing as well. Fontana Guides are great and truly appreciate the courteous, professional, and relaxing approach to their services. My guide was Wes and he was great. We were on the trout within 15 minutes of meeting each other on the put-in. Wes did not waste time in one spot, if the fish were not hitting we moved on - great approach.
