Overall: A very bad experience!

Overall: A very bad experience!

The pros: Perfect location, right in the middle of Temple Bar. Friendly staff. The room was okay: modern style, comfy bed, clean, big telly, coffee/tee maker, table and chair.

But then... This used to be a hostel. They're changing it to a hotel right now. The second floor is already renovated. There were heavy construction works going on on the first floor that woke me up. Partially the place looks like it is a construction site: "Wet paint" signs everywhere. The water pressure in the shower was low, sometimes they TURNED THE WATER OFF. There's no lobby, no breakfast, not even a breakfast room. The signs on the front still say "Hostel". For the price I paid I could've gotten a four star hotel nearby, but this was more of a hostel experience.

I didn't actually stay at the hotel so I cannot comment on the accommodation. However, our flight was cancelled to Dublin due to COVID-19 and this hotel was extremely unhelpful, they would no give us a cash refund and instead insisted for More

Had a great stay here! Nice new rooms with comfy beds located right in the middle of temple bar! There is no elevator so if you travel like me and pack everything it's a bit of a pain getting your bag to the top floor! Still though the climb was worth it. We even ended up booking another night's stay on the way home :)

Nice for a 3* however be aware there is no lift, our bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable and the room was stifling.
Although not their fault as my husband didn't realise before booking but it is right next door to some live music venues so we had barrels of beer being delivered at 5am in the morning and drunken fans from the Denmark vs Ireland game. At least next time we know old folk should not stay IN temple bar

Maybe it was just much better than the last place I stayed in, but did enjoy the hotel. Its good for what you pay. Great location, really nice and helpful staff. It s a little loud at night but I wore earplugs.

Booked a triple room for 3 single female adults, was given a double bed and a single. When asked at reception they told us it was subject to availability no apology no offer to move room. The rooms are tiny. You can t even get undressed in the bathroom. The sink is tiny and the rooms are cold and noisy as so close to the centre. On the last day of our stay the checkout time was 12pm, we were just rushing around to pack everything as we woke up late at 11:55, only to be hounded by the reception ringing the bedroom phone. Then we received a knock on the door, confronted by a very rude stuck up receptionist who said that we were rude for not answering the phone, I said we were rushing around to get ready and she said well funny that cause I m rushing around trying to sort the fire alarm you set off last night now.. none of my friends nor me smoke... and nor did the fire alarm go off. So as we left the hotel at 12.22 so 22 minutes after check out time, the woman said I ll charge your card for the late checkout and for setting off the fire alarm the hotel claims to offer a baggage hold service, which I asked for upon checking out and the other receptionist responded with no you can t . Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Rude, unhelpful and disgusting service from the staff. Would have given 0 stars but it wouldn t let me.

To be avoided absolutely! 140 euros per night (!!!) for a room of 220 cm for 300cm: practically a Franciscan cell or a kennel for dogs with a view on a light shaft! They did not make the bed, nor the cleaning (despite an explicit request at 5pm as they had not been made and a guarantee that they would have done something that did not happen then), the bathroom was absolutely tiny with a sink that didn't even allow to brush your teeth, which is only possible on the toilet! Still in the bathroom, the radiator does not work and the second day there is no hot water. Bad, smelly and expensive. Silvana Scucces

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel, in the very center of Dublin a few steps from the famous Temple bar pub, in favor of the location in the center near pubs, restaurants etc., the 24-hour reception and the friendly staff. To the detriment of the room, which is really small, I state that we had booked a double, without a wardrobe, but above all without a window, neither in the small room nor in the bathroom, the room had a ventilation fan and an air conditioner, which they did not have the first night. worked by making it difficult to breathe for too hot and stale air. Small bathroom with a microscopic sink that prevented you from brushing your teeth. I don't know if it is normal for a hotel to have rooms without windows, to me it is really bad and does not feel hygienic. We also tried to ask for a room change but the hotel was full. This hotel is only ok with a room with a window, pass the lack of a wardrobe, the tiny sink and the really small room, but only for the location.

Excellent location . Couldn't be more central. This in turn for some might also be a negative .
Temple bar being the busiest place in Dublin ,it can get super loud.
I would suggest if you're not up for any noise then to avoid this hotel and temple bar hotels completely otherwise this is a great place to stay.
Hotel wise it's good . I've rated 4/5 factoring in location and hotel.
The hotel is clean. Well equipped . Coffee machine with coffee pods. Plenty of cushions ,towels huge TV . Etc
The negatives would be the size of rooms .
The one I had really only housed one person which was fine for me .but two might be a squeeze .
Otherwise great hotel.

The hotel has an interesting design and is well located but not worth spending a single night. Customer service there is simply arrogant. Houskeeping manager refused to change my torn bed linen preferring to argue with me. What is more, the hotel has bed bugs. After I was bitten by bed bugs in a room no. 214 I submitted a formal complaint to the hotel management about that fact asking for a compensation due to incurred medical expenses. The reception person had documented my bites by taking a photo of them so it's not that they did not know about the issue. The management dismissed my compaint in a rather ignorant way. For 100 euro spent per night there any guest would expect more!

We were super at peace in the hotel, perfect for a city break. Rooms are a bit small, which did not bother us as we were traveling all day and only slept there. The only drawback is the small sink, otherwise everything is clean and super friendly staff at the front desk, who could answer all our questions. Gladly again.
