Drives 15 mph under the speed limit on 94 talking on the phone swerving all over the place

This company has been doing job after job in Ferndale for years and is known as the slowest working company in the area. They are currently doing a project on Livernois which they got scheduled for 6 months to do one mile of road. It is the most embarrassing, unprofessional, laziest, mind boggling road project. In the time they are resurfacing with asphalt one mile 696 is being done from 94 to 75. I wish our city would stop using this company that abandons projects for weeks to do other jobs leaving the businesses and residents to deal with their eyesore. I could go on an on about how this company works, but you get the idea that I would never ever recommend them to anyone.

During construction of the eastbound section of 696 by the woodward exit over the weekend of 8/17, my vehicle was struck by debris and covered in a concrete slurry. Upon filing a claim, Michael McElroy of Florence Cement Co responded 3 FULL MONTHS LATER and denied any involvement of the company, stating that it would not be possible for the damages unless i was in the work area closed to traffic. A quick google search refutes their claim, and shows that their was indeed work being done not only along those routes but in the EXACT area that i described with several other individuals claiming similar damages. Needless to say I will be taking this to court, however i would advise any and all contractors to steer clear of this group. Unprofessional, poor leadership, sloppy work, and an overall unpleasant demeanor, even when dealing with something simple and fairly common in the construction industry. See attached is the accompanying picture after 3 full service car washes and my own personal detailing. AVOID FLORENCE CEMENT AT ALL COSTS!

Just started work on little Mack and already moved and chipped old national precast logo on private property like it was theirs. Smashed the mailbox too, was made of exposed aggregate.

Not working on my street but just had their cement truck not only blocking my driveway but proceeded to leave cement piled in the street in front of my driveway. Seem to think they don't have an obligation to clean up after themselves. Complain to the municipalities that are contracting them. They clearly do not care about poor reviews.

I always see these drivers driving up and down 12 Mile and Hoover area I have nothing but good things to say about these drivers they drive greatand that's a lot to say because most truck drivers these days couldn't drive a go kart

The Whittaker Rd roundabout was supposed to be done last month. This is going to cause such a headache for everyone trying to get their children to school next week. It's unfortunate they did not do a better job with scheduling and prioritizing the project- a huge number of people will be affected here.

My car was backed into by their truck on 14 mile in royal oak. The truck driver was found to be at fault and given a ticket. It appears they don t have insurance on the truck because my insurance company hasn t been able to get my deductible back. Will probably have to take them to court.

These guys are contracted to work on my street and to say they are extremely rude and unprofessional is an understatement. They have made me feel uncomfortable to come to my own home. Every morning when I get home they have something to say about me being on the street , a couple of times they asked me if I could read the thru traffic closed sign. Of course I can but I live here. The village gave us no notice or instructions on what to do during this time. The guys asked me to keep my car in the street because they were doing the sidewalks I did that then they called police to make me move my car to another street. Keep in mind they watched me pull in not even an hour before that and said nothing about me needing to move my car another time. I am extremely upset with how this has been handled and how these guys have thought to talk to me as a resident. I just want to come home and feel comfortable in my space and they have completely taken that away from me. It seems that all of your bad reviews are by women. It appears that the men that work for you have a problem talking to women like they're people. Good luck with that. If I were a business owner I'd want my employees to talk respectfully to everyone not just men.
