This art memorial is one of the best I have ever visited. It is intimate, but filled with beautiful history. I was here for an event; I would recommend renting the space if you are looking for a unique event venue for a small cocktail hour!
I have had great experiences there. I drive over from NJ to take classes. Love my sculpture class I am currently taking.
I attended a wedding here and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. I've never seen anything like this historic church with it's adjacent modern gallery and studios.
Interesting place ... there is artistic training in plastic
Affordable adult art classes, but you get what you pay for. Not the best instruction.
This is mi favorite place to learn art teachers they are great
It's very knowledgeable a d they are very passionate and patience of ur performance
If you've ever considered getting some art out of your kids or self then sign up and dedicate some time to feeding your inner artist's need to realize your thoughts and dreams.
What a lovely place in the heart of a lovely Philly neighborhood.
I attended Fleisher when I was little, my youngest attended and flourished in the positive environment there. Parents bring their children from New Jersey and suburban areas to attend their stellar program.
I have been taking classes at Fleischer for several years. Each class has been a learning experience in the art field.
Some of the teachers are better than others, but you kinda have to just try it out for yourself. Fun as a hobby and if you already have the materials. Communications before classes are inconsistent. Class descriptions and material lists should really be updated based on the teacher teaching it. Parking can be difficult. Overall after I took a few classes I will continue to go, so enjoyable overall!
I went to a wedding in the Sanctuary first time in Philly and was amazed at the Egyptian themed altar. Got a closer look recently during a meeting there.
Fantastic place! I love all the artwork and the architecture of the building. The chapel was amazing. To stand amongst all the history in that room was amazing.
I very much look forward to my next visit. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a great time sitting outside in the quad and reflecting and looking at all the wonderful art artwork on the walls.
We were not impressed with the child after school care they provided. My daughter only went one day a week and by the 4th week would cry knowing she had to go there after school. It was an overall bad experience, even my interactions with the staff were not good.
I finally had a class I wanted fall on a day I could take it! Maureen Duffy s jewelry class was great. I just wish it was a little longer so that you could practice the techniques after you learn them.
Excellent art programs and exhibitions. The sanctuary is a must see.
They offer various courses and the staff is thorough. Currently in the Mosaic art class. I love it.
Great place. Staff is a little rude
Update
Staff is very nice now
Really interesting old architecture, and a great display of students' work. I also took a class here and it was really enjoyable.
Great classes! Awesome creepy church/art gallery. Definitely check it out
Any would be artist needs to attend here, even just for a semester, almost as a right of passage!
FREE art classes for k-12 kids every Saturday. What more can you say? Get your kid into the lottery. Love this place!!!!
This is the place to live as you were meant to live, creating, laughing, sharing art. What an awesome experience.
Spectacular old chapel decorated for Day of the Dead
Beautiful building. The old church is really something to see.
Flemish Er is an incredible art school, and to top it all they throw themselves to be a strong part of the community. If you have an opportunity attend one of their many festivals .... worth every minute you spend there!
It provides young and old the opportunity to learn or inhance their talents in different art mediums. Teen lounge is a terrific program. Good hands on exposure and safe place to be after school.
Great place for art classes. They have one day sessions and seasonal classes. I have enjoyed everything I have taken.
Lovely venue. Wonderful environment for budding artists
Fleisher is a Philly gem both for its art classes for the public and the old church that s part of its official building.
Amazing little gem! Instructors are very supportive and the building itself is dazzling
Our kids love their classes. They have made some stunning work at Fleisher. And the classes are affordableable.
Great classes and exhibits! Instructors have been very helpful, knowledgable, and personable.
a fine Gallery that seem to exhibit only main stream artists.that being said, the work is of the highest order!
The clay studio monitors take the joy out of working in the space. I haven't been this harassed in decades. They need to stop treating adults like children. I'll never go back
Beautiful place. Art classes are amazing and easily accessible with tuition assistance and some bilingual teachers. Also they have a small gallery inside which is nice to check out
Went to a wedding here. It was beautiful and very unique.
Is a great place for both children and adults to express their creativity.
I've taken multiple art classes at Fleisher. It's an incredible resource and affordable. You can take up to 8 classes per year for the price of membership. The classes fill up quickly so you have to register early. I've taken screenprinting, weaving, and intro to 2D design. All highly recommended!
The building was unexpectedly amazing, the sanctuary part took me by complete surprise. Wow.
The art memorial has a lovely array of classes for kids and adults, and they even have a color darkroom!!! These guys are angels in my book just for that.
Their exhibitions are very good, I plan to submit my art for their consideration one day.
They have events that are most unexpected. I went there for the book talk by a Russian murder mystery writer. The attendance could have been better were the event advertised better. But that's neither here nor there.
I love this place!!!
It's a great place to have a wedding ceremony outside and inside!
When my two children were little, 5 years old, they took Saturday art classes. They learned drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpting from some of the best art teachers. That was over fifteen years ago. This was one of the best things we could have done for our children. Fleisher will always be special to us. Both of our children appreciate the beauty of art.
A great place for kids and adults who want to take art classes, whether a beginner or experience. They have a great Saturday Youth Arts Program for ages 5-18.
AWFUL art wrestling and interactive exhibits. Very cool stuff. Definitely good for a day visit on the weekend or a stop in after work.
Beautiful museum full of activities for the community
Great place, love the atmosphere, really nice people and especially today as they celebrated the "Day of the Dead".
This a great venue for small weddings. I ve worked for a couple catering who s done wedding here. The decor is gothic and they always have different art on display. They also offer art classes that looks pretty interesting.
I was there for an evening special event. You can see exhibitions of student work in a variety of modalities....paintings, drawings, pottery
I made a mistake with the course I signed up for. I called Tina Cheung and explained the situation and asked if I could have a refund. She said too bad and hung up on me. I paid $270 for the course and she not only didn't offer to do something for me, she hung up on me.
My first class was awesome! I m so glad I signed up!
I love taking classes at Fleisher! It's so welcoming, and the teachers are excellent.
My painting skills have improved dramatically since I started attending classes there. I've also met some really AWSOME people.
I love the diversity at Fleisher. It makes the class environment richer and much more interesting.
Variety of classes and instructors and helpful Staff make this a Philadelphia treasure ! Try something soon.
What a amazing quaint small museum. This interesting museum has beautiful art and they rent space for functions out to the public. Please support if you can!!!
Valentine's Day event was fun, educational and informative
At 716 Catherine St., Mistress Zeneca is so well informed and helpful. On Sept 15th, don't forget to spin the Wheel of Misfortunez party game!
Went here to see a film selection. I ended up visiting the current student art gallery. They must have excellent instructors because the exhibited student work was very good.
Best secret in Phila, have their own parking, expert staff, well run and worth paying for.
Beautiful place to have a wedding ceremony or special event.
