I recently visited this waterfront restaurant and bar and had an overall average experience. The location by the water was lovely and the atmosphere was relaxed. The food was decent and the menu offered a good variety of seafood options. However, I found the service to be slow and somewhat inattentive. Our orders took longer than expected to arrive, and it was difficult to get the attention of the waitstaff. The prices were a bit higher than I would have liked for the quality of the overall experience. The restaurant has potential, but there is definitely room for improvement in terms of service efficiency and overall value for the cost.

Fleet Landing Restaurant & Bar: A Culinary Haven in Historic Downtown Charleston

If you're looking for a dining experience that combines the best of Southern hospitality, fresh seafood, and stunning waterfront views, look no further than Fleet Landing Restaurant & Bar. Located at 186 Concord Street at the foot of the City Market in Historic Downtown Charleston, this restaurant has been a local favorite since it opened its doors in 2003.

The restaurant's name is inspired by its location - Fleet Landing was once a bustling naval base during World War II. Today, it's a culinary haven that offers an extensive menu of seafood dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. From shrimp and grits to crab cakes to oysters on the half shell, there's something for everyone at Fleet Landing.

But what sets this restaurant apart from others in Charleston is its commitment to sustainability. The chefs at Fleet Landing work closely with local fishermen and farmers to ensure that their ingredients are not only fresh but also responsibly sourced. They even have their own rooftop garden where they grow herbs and vegetables used in their dishes.

In addition to its delicious food, Fleet Landing also boasts an impressive bar menu featuring craft cocktails made with house-infused spirits and local ingredients. Whether you're looking for a classic Old Fashioned or something more adventurous like the "Charleston Mule" (made with bourbon, ginger beer, lime juice, and peach bitters), you won't be disappointed.

But perhaps one of the biggest draws of Fleet Landing is its location. Situated right on the water overlooking Charleston Harbor and Fort Sumter National Monument, diners can enjoy breathtaking views while they eat. And if you're lucky enough to snag a table outside on the patio or deck during sunset hours - well let's just say it doesn't get much better than that.

Whether you're visiting Charleston for the first time or are a longtime resident looking for your next favorite spot - make sure to add Fleet Landing Restaurant & Bar to your list of must-visit places. With its commitment to sustainability, delicious food and drinks menu options ,and unbeatable waterfront views - it truly has something special offer everyone who walks through its doors!
