I have been a member of a number of local gyms over the years and FitMe Wellness is by far my favorite. I usually like to work out alone and certainly not with big crowds and this gym is perfect for that. I love the machines and equipment. Everything is up to date and they pretty much have everything I am looking for, not to mention the amount of classes they offer! It's always very clean and the staff is always friendly. Overall I would recommend this gym to anyone!

I joined FitMe in December last year after a bad experience with another gym in the area.
I have found the gym to be very clean, very friendly, and it offers all kinds of opportunities for classes, and other events. I have attended both.
I see inside a long post some comments regarding the "Run Club" on this board. The author said that the Run Club was a joke. Well, I am a real person, and I believe my name will be posted when I publish this. I participated in the Run Club this year and I can tell you that all those that come can use it specifically to meet their needs. I have run hills, and long distances, and have also walked depending on who was there, and what the weather was like. The concept that appeals to me is that the leader tries to break up the group to their abilities, but always starts the group together for the first quarter mile. I have been nursing an Achilles injury and have enjoyed the flexibility of the group. I liked the run club very much.
Some of the classes are crowded, but it appears to me that the management tries to adjust. They are crowded because they are popular, and they have good instructors. Yes sometimes there is no space, but that just makes me get there earlier to make sure I have a space.........
I find FitMe to be an excellent experience and I am VERY HAPPY that I wandered in there last fall and joined. I talk about the friends that I have met at the gym as my Gym Family. My Gym Family and I are one big happy family !!!!
Is the place perfect. No. Is there any gym that is perfect. Not that I know of.
I would highly recommend that any and all give it a shot.
Rachel Carlson is a fantastic personal trainer. Her greatest desire is to see me reach my goal. I am very grateful for the way she pushes me to succeed.
I am very impressed with what they have done to keep us safe and working. I have no qualms about returning. I also think the management has taken the extra mile to maintain a safe environment during this terrible time. Kudos to you!
FitMe Wellness is always very clean! (a high priority for me!) Their employees are friendly and super helpful, and even anticipate my needs and requests! They have a great selection of equipment AND classes.
I've been a member since October 2016. The staff is excellent, the equipment is well maintained, the whole facility is impeccably clean, and the members aren't stereotypical "gym rats."
As a new resident to Rockford, FitMe Wellness was the first (and only!) gym I checked out. Upon entering I was greeted warmly and offered a tour. My initial thoughts included, wow, the staff here is really nice, this gym is spotless and I can totally see myself working out here.
Needless to say, I joined the FitMe family the very next day! I love that the staff members know everyone s name & take the time to ask you how you re doing. They really seem to care about their members. The gym itself is always clean and organized, offering an inviting atmosphere to relax and get in a great workout! The other members are respectful and just as friendly. FitMe Wellness goes above and beyond your typical gym and does not disappoint!
Best Rockford Gym. The fitness center has many free daily classes. Fit me wellness has a awesome weight loss program. Lots of equipment for bodybuilding. The gym employee's are the greatest.
Last week I was looking for my watch, which cost me a pretty penny, and couldn t find it anywhere. I searched the entire house, car and gym bag with no luck!! I remembered that the last place I had it was last week at FitMe wellness. Later that day I arrived at FitMe and spoke to one of the staff members Tom. I mentioned to Tom about my watch. He had walk to the back grabbed my watch and told me one of the members had found it and turned it in!! I ve been a member since 2014 and have not had an issue or a bad experience at FitMe. I highly recommended FitMe Wellness and give it a 5 Star!!!
I've been a member at several of the local gyms over the past decade or so and Fit Me Wellness is easily the most accommodating, clean, friendly and cost effective health and wellness center I've ever been a member of.
There are more classes available then I have time for, enough machines so that I can always exercise with whatever I choose and whenever I have any questions or could use some additional one on one training, there is always someone to help me immediately.
You seriously get treated as if you are a member of a country club without having to spend even what I had to at Peak Sports Club or the YMCA. I cannot endorse Fit Me Wellness enough and highly recommend you give them a shot as well. You won't regret it!
Very clean facility, which is nice -- but there's never anyone available to show you how to use the weight machines, etc. Not sure if I would have had to make an appointment for that or not because there was never anyone at the front desk.
My wife and I have been members for 4 years now and still love it. It is the cleanest gym we've ever been to and the staff is friendly, responsive and make you feel welcome. They call you by name and stay busy keeping the place clean and the equipment maintained. During recent bad weather, Matt even called our home to tell my wife they were closing early because he knows she comes in later! What gym does that? I highly recommend you give it a try!!
If you want to do a "month to month" plan, make sure you read the fine print before you sign. Not only do you have to pay extra each month for membership, but there is a $10.00 per month fee for "cancelling" within the first year. Also, they want a full 30 days to cancel your automatic withdrawal payment or else you have to pay the full fee for the entire next month. It cost me about $90.00 total to cancel a "month to month" membership. I will say the facility was usually clean - probably because there are hardly ever any people there working out. Even at 5:30 P.M. on a weekday the place is pretty quiet. I'm sure they are staying in business by keeping customers locked into memberships they are not using. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra for someplace nice like Peak or go the economical route with Planet Fitness.
Best club in town at FITME WELLNESS. Most cleanest club ever , knowledgable staff, best personal trainers, equipment state of art, fitness classes for all levels membership well worth it.
Great gym, as long as you don't ever try to cancel. First, they hand you a contract and sort of tell you what's in it. Then, when you try to cancel, they give you major MAJOR run around. They told me I had to pay extra, which wasn't in my contract AT ALL because I did a month to month. Then they told me I had to come in and cancel and sign papers. This wasn't indicated in the contract either. THEN they didn't cancel my contract at all but continued to bill me. Yeah, real caring and nice until you want to cancel. Had to protest the charges to get my money back and even THEN they gave me the runaround.
Fitness Centers in Rockford have nothing on fitme wellness. Fitme is a great Gym for Weightloss. I am a member of fitme and am very happy with the great results and staff.
If you need a Rockford Gym, or the fitness center with the best Bodybuilding in rockford why would you go anywhere else? The Fit me Wellness building is keep very Clean. The staff is awesome. Greg Georgis, CEO\ Founder hit a home run. My favorite Rockford Gym.
I was searching for my gym's phone number when I noticed the one-star review by the chucklehead below me and was kind of blown away. I had to write my own.
In living in over a half dozen cities over the last 20+ years- this gym is, hands down, the best one I have ever experienced. Additionally, in that time I have worked with about 7 different personal trainers. To say this gym exceeds in this category as well is an understatement.
I had a billing hiccup that was corrected immediately. I have had to reschedule and cancel training sessions at the last minute and have been met with understanding. And how they have gone above and beyond during this pandemic crisis has been pretty incredible, actively facilitating my health journey while being stuck at home. The staff is caring and attentive, and my trainer being back has been instrumental in my positive changes over the last six months. On top of that, the place is always fastidiously clean- easily the most hygienic gym I have ever seen, which is difficult to do.
I cannot recommend this place enough. And kind of don't want to- I don't want it to be overrun by unappreciative people.
PROS- The people. The place. My badass trainer Tracy. Fastidiously clean. Reasonable membership and training rates. Flexibility with billing and scheduling. The exercise rooms. Equipment variety.
CONS- Classic rock. Old guys in the locker room that can't seem to bring a towel to the shower for some reason. Lack of Atlas balls. That's about it really.
And out of sheer selfishness, since I am on a roll now, I would like to see some of the ellipticals replaced to make more space for more racks and lifting equipment. I think it would be awesome to have some SkiErg machines. And I think a free-standing plate rack would be a good idea- I don't like to steal plates from other machines, especially when it's busy. And I want a loadable Husafel stone just for fun. But these are small things, and not entirely practical.
I am pretty sure I have 'found my fit', but that would be hella corny to end on and I would never admit it to anyone there.
Greg, Marc, Ryan, Rachel, and the whole FitMe team are phenomenal people who truly care about their clients' well-being as a whole, not just to collect a monthly fee. Joining FitMe is finding a home and a family and accountability and help with your goals, not just a place to work out. Highly recommend personal training with Ryan and Rachel!
I have joined some of the larger gyms in the area and have had enough dislikes to make me leave them. This one is on point. Super clean. Not crowded at all when I go. Private rooms if you don't feel like being in the mix with anyone else. Good selection of equipment. Clean. Did I mention clean? It's always clean.... Locker rooms smell fresh, not like, well, locker rooms. The people are friendly, supportive and knowledable. Tracy. Tracy is amazing! Definitely highly recommend training with her. Lots of positives here.
For me it was just okay. The biggest thing I could not stand about this gym was their weight machines. They looked old and out of date, they were very different and hard to use vs the standard machines at other gyms. I was told they were easier to use (esp for older people) based on them being a free moving cable type of thing, but they just weren't. I could never position my body right, weird seating positions/ standing ones. The directions on these machines were not helpful imo. They never gave me a good burn. The free weights were good. There is a free weight squat rack. I dont remember if there was a smith machine. Standard cardio equipment. There was a room I could go in and do stretches alone if I didn't want to do it in front of anyone. I'm a night person so there would only be a few people when I went which was nice. It's a small gym definitely. It's a good gym if you are shy working out in front of people. I can't comment on the classes as I never took one but I heard they are nice. The price was just too high to have to use those terrible weight machines compared to other gyms. It is not open 24 hours. I also hated their hours, especially weekend hours.
It was so exciting to get back in the gym. FitMe has done such a good job as always keeping the equipment and the facility immaculate, and arranged and closed the machines so that proper distancing protocol is followed. It gives peace of mind to anyone stepping foot in the place, and it is so lovely to see the smiling team that is always there to greet us. Very happy with how they've handled the reopening.
I've belonged to gyms across the country - from Seattle, to Chicago, to New York - and FitMe Wellness is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and nicest gym of them all. The classes and instructors are awesome! The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming and they have all of the equipment I could possibly need. I really feel like part of a community when I'm there, which is unlike most gym experiences where you go in, do your own thing, and leave without talking with anyone. Their policies are in line with every other gym I've ever belonged to. Thank you FitMe for giving me a locally owned place where I can take care of and focus on myself!
The only thing the owner cares about is how clean his gym is. Forget the health of his members. Oh, and how he can make money off of these classes that you literally have to PAY FOR when he already offers free classes....? They only have one rack for weight lifting and one smith machine. The rest are dumbbells. Not a good gym for lifting, you ll have to wait most of the time. You can do deadlifts or bench in the meantime but it s annoying when you re #3 in line knowing there s literally only 3-5 people in the gym to begin with. If you like your gym empty, this is the place for you! Even at 5:30-6PM on a weeknight it s empty. Usually not a good sign.
