Calamari steak very delicious, the service was outstanding. Modern, chic atmosphere... must try other dishes !

The food is always good! But we haven't been there in a while because we like to dine on the patio. We were bombarded with flies to last two times. Kudos to the management and owners they have now install screens . Our dining experience was wonderful! Thank you for listening to the reviews of your guests. This place is off the hook...YUMMY. rhis would be an AWESOME choice for anyone.

Ordered three different kinds of shrimp dishes, excessive butter and garlic use overwhelming the shrimp itself. Shrimp looked and tasted as if they were frozen and just now prepared, didn't taste fresh. Tasted like a bag of frozen shrimp after being thrown on the stove would, in that case I could have stayed home and saved the $70. Thick fries lacked taste and effort.
Service was equal to the food in quality. Monotone answers and no suggestions.

The food is really good, and it's a great place for a date. If they are busy just sit at the bar and order apps & drinks, can't go wrong.

If they are super busy, it will likely take 20-40 mins to get your food after you order, and sometimes not at the same time.

Food is good. Menu similar to Sotto Mare of course. Muzak feels like you are on a senior citizen cruise. Weird choice.

Usually everytime I have came for dinner, 25 years or more everything was amazing. I took a friend there last night for her first time. The lobster was over done. I was embarrassed because I raved about ther food. We were both disappointed. Service was excellent. Iam thinking the cook just was having a bad night!

Always good. If you don't like it they'll fix it. More local brews now but they could do even better on that end.

I loved the clam chowder here. Sometimes it can be hard to find chowder that's made without bacon, so I'm glad they dont use it in theirs. Huge menu with a lot of delicious options.

This restaurant remains fabulous over the years. Their fish is so fresh, and is the best around. Whether you eat there, or take fish home to prepare yourself, it is the best, freshest fish you will find. Just look at their display case, and you will know you are eating very high quality food. Love the hot bread they serve to. Love, love, love this restaurant!

This has always been a local go-to for celebrations but after the remodel a couple years ago, it's even better. A very classy spot that does everything well. It's not often I'll enjoy every single thing I've ever had at a place but this is the exception. Their clam chowder is definitely the star of the show and truthfully you can go and just get the clam chowder and the fresh sourdough bread and call it a meal. Their bar is great, try the Moscow Mule, it comes with a garnish of candied ginger. On the way outz grab a complimentary salt water taffy.

It is a nice place. The waiters are nice but unfortunately the food is not that great. We order some fish and lobster. The lobsters was plain and chewy like it was just defrosted and for more than $25 dollars not worth it. We went here for the good reviews ended leaving disappointed. The fish was also plain very plain. This place is way too expensive for what is actually served. Not worth it.

Not enough handicap parking. Something needs to be done. With all the elderly people from Leisure World, there is a need for more. Hard to walk from Boot Barn all that way to the reception area.. That is only one thing that I am unhappy about. On Sunday, July 22, 2018, my Mom took me for lunch at the Fish Company. and we ordered cocktails prior to having our lunch. The drinks arrived, and not knowing, my glass was chipped. When I took my first taste, it cut my lip. It took quite awhile to get the servers attention. Also, the server made no apology for the issue. We also waited a very long time, to get my drink replaced, and my Mom had already finished hers. Again, nothing mentioned by the server, as they just sat the drink on the table. We placed our order, and it took a very long time to get our food. At the time we came in, there were very few people inside the restaurant. It wasn't the great tasting food that I have had in the past....as I ordered the Calamari filet. I have been coming here for over 15 years, and have never had such poor service and a poor quality meal. I guess I will have to think about where I go in the future....Things sure keep changing.

Consistent quality and great service. In always impressed with the level of attention they provide. Great menu options. Mid -hi eats. It's a definite keeper for us.

Go early as it gets crowded. Seating in the bar is a good option if you don't want to wait. It is a bit loud, but both the New England and Manhattan style clam chowder are the best around.

OFC is awesome! They have excellent quality of fish to sell and for their restaurant. They are passionate and professional. The place is very busy!

Wild Alaskan Copper River king and sockeye Salmon (never heard of it until coming here - very short season may to early June) were great! I enjoyed the patio area. There is a second bathroom in back that is handicap friendly. Fun fish educational wall paper in men's by bar.

This restaurant has existed for over thirty years and there is a valid reason. The fish is very fresh, the menu changes according to the catch of the day to offer the best product to the customer. I ate an exceptional monkfish while my wife had a lobster. The clam soups are also fresh and tasty to try

Very good restaurant all round. The food is exceptional, as is the service. However, I must dock one star because the brussel sprouts were undercooked on the inside, and slimy and soggy outside, when requested they be prepared crispy. So overall, very good food and service but the brussels should be avoided AT ALL COSTS!

Amazing food! The best clam chowder in California!!!

The Pecan crusted Sea Bass special they had on Saturday and it was the best meal I have ever had. It was paired with Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash medallions and Asparagus. I wish I could have taken one to go! The Clam Chowder is one of the best I have had. Highly recommend.

Located in a plaza with plenty of free parking , restaurant itself was very nice and spacious . They also have a small market to order some seafood and a few ready made items .
We got seated fairly quickly , the appetizers and bread came quick as well . The food was very fresh and enjoyed everything about . We had a variety of items and say everything tasted great . Not sure if the staff during that time was already tired . But from our greater and our server , the overall impression I had was not very well . Not sure if it was due to the private party going on, or because we were seated at the very corner end of the restaurant . I feel we had to keep looking for our waiter , to help with refills, to go boxes , checks ect . I will however come back again , and maybe next time around the experience would be a better one .

Every year since 2009 I come here to celebrate one more year being cancer free. I always order the same thing the large lobster tail and it never fails to disappoint. Not only is the food excellent, the staff is kind, pleasant, efficient and so professional. In short I love this place.

We were in Long Beach and our friends told us about The Original Fish Co...
We stopped by at about 4pm on a Friday, and it was busy, not overly, as we only waited about 20 minutes....enough time to grab a drink at the bar before dinner.
We started with the Clam Chowder, as mist reviews state, it was delicious.

I had the Swordfish dinner, and my wife had the grilled Rockfish. Both we amazing, cooked perfectly and fresh tasting. The grilled veggies were a plus, loved the yellow squash.

I read a lot of reviews that spoke of the high prices, but we thought for the amount of food, the prices were very reasonable.

The service was very good.
We ll be back on our next trip to Long Beach.

Everything I've tried here is delicious and I've been coming for years. Great service and ambience, too. It's worth the extra price for the quality. Also, they have the best New England clam chowder. Better than they have in New England.

It is very infrequent l eat here over the past years, but hands down, the clam chowder is sensational! Of all the dilicious items on the menu, the clam chowder is my only choice.

I have been here for lunch recently and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, this time it was horrible. I ordered grilled mahi mahi (one of only 2 fish I ever order...the other being salmon) and I recieved halibut. It was overcooked. I also ordered the dutch potatoes (they were fine) and steamed brocolli......they were overcooked and cold. I should have sent the fish back, but it took too long to locate my server, so I stomached through it. The bill for my overcooked halibut was a rediculous 29.95. My boyfriend ordered the wild salmon.....while it was good, we were disgusted when the price for his meal was 34.95. I know this is not an inexpensive restaurant, but to pay that much (for wht he received) was rediculous. Our total meal came to $73.00 (that included one soda and tax). We recently went for fish this past weekend at Walts Wharf and got out of there for 45.00 with 2 non-alcoholic beverages and tax included. The food was 10 times better and service was awesome. Guess we know where to go next time.

Why is it lately that nice fish restaurants are over cooking fish so much. It's that fine line between perfectly done and dry. Maybe their recipes are for larger protons like they used to serve. Oh bam, maybe they're reducing costs by trimming the portion. Great restaurant even though.

My mom loves the original fish company and I take her there. I'm not a fish guy but the fish smells fabulous and I get soup and salad, and their blue cheese is amazing! I do love their clam chowder. I think they're famous for their clam chowder

I told my friends about this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is great and the stuff is welcoming and cooperative. always when we go to this place we have a gorgeous evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Extremely elegant, very spacious, they have a very large selection of seafood. It is pricey, so for me it would be for special occasions. But we'll worth it.

Good friend of mine, intruduced this place to me. Wow! I've had crab patties many a times, but these by far are the tasties I've ever had. If your familiar with sponge bob and the famous crab patties they so much love in the cartoon they would probably taste like these... A fresh bakery, a meat market along with delightful menu. Top ten on my list now fir sea food. Very facy looking place..

It's like a very fancy Crab Cooker. Meaning the fish is cooked on a fire grill. It's excellent. The menu is a higher class menu so be ready to spend some money. It's well worth it!

Out of the years eating here I don't think I have ever left the place disappointed. The clam chowder never disappoints.
