First Presbyterian Church of Gastonia, NC Review

Stay away from this place for childcare! I am disappointed by the leadership and organization of their childcare system. They have a hard time finding and mostly keeping their employees. They ones the kept have hit mailboxes with their bus and blame that the kids were distracting them! Pay attention to the road when your driving! (This was the second time a mailbox was hit!) The are very quick to respond to your complaints, but do NOTHING to correct the situation. Please give your childcare business elsewhere you will be doing yourself and your child a huge favor!

I would be extremely careful in registering my child at this school. The director is incredibly manipulative and extremely well versed in lying. Her concern seems to be more with the accreditation and not with the actual students or the things happening in the school. She is threatening to the teachers and cares very little for them. They are quick to verbally promote Christian principles, but their actions definitely don t match those words. I believe lying was talked about in the 10 commandments. I wish I knew what I know now before I had registered my daughter.

Got a Covid-19 test here...appreciate the Church allowing the community to come and be tested. We are in this together...

Welcoming church! Great music. Meaningful and encouraging worship. Strong youth and children's activities. Focused on helping others in missions.

A lovely old congregation with unusually large facilities for a Presbyterian church. Architecturally significant stained glass and bell tower.
Really serious Christian giving back to the world and local missions.

I worked briefly with the afterschool program and enjoyed it very much. I love this church and always feel welcome there.

Under new leadership and the school is not the same it has been for years! So sad!!!! Would not send my child here! They lost 10 teachers last year for a reason!!!!

Thank you but no response necessary back. Please stop spreading lies within the community about the wonderful ladies that worked there for years. It s really not professional and unecesaary to slander previous employees.

Our family has had fabulous experiences in al areas.- especially in Weekday School! I m sorry for those of you that had challenges with Weekday School,, but as a professional educator I was thrilled that this was the first accredited preschool in our state.

The MOST unprofessional childcare there is out there! Do yourselves a favor and do NOT choose this place- the people that work here are EXTREMELY unprofessional- they even blamed my son for hitting a mailbox one day on the way back to the daycare- because she didn t keep her eyes on the road- I ll spare you the details but it was by no means my sons fault. Then when I picked my son up that afternoon it was raining and Sierra thought it was a good idea to tell me all about it when I picked him up in the rain-saying it was all his fault (he was 6) he felt terrible and they really hurt his feelings. After we got in the car he looked at me and said thank you for not blaming me- broke my heart. Anyways- that s one of MANY stories
