Great small theater. We saw All Childish Things. Good play, great cast. Really good time. We got great seats. The theater is really close to Oak Brook mall, so lots is dinner choices beforehand. Really kind staff helping with ticketing and seating.

Sitting next to the sound booth, the mixing was poor. Some singers were too hot and others hardly heard at all--most notably as actors transitioned from back stage (personal and omnidirectional mics) to front stage (presumptively just personal mics). The right speaker volume was proud at a disagreeable level.

The large cast of 20ish, was efficient in their movements and delivered their lines timely and without error. The audience would have benefited greatly by a spotlight trekking changing singers.

The writing could have been abbreviated; the introduction of characters and plot took 25 minutes to define the principles, their angles of interest, and their respected impediments. Thereafter, the plot quickened with humor, but the polish of performance diminished with regard to the singing. The dancing was spectacular.

At $92/couple w/ chairs, we could have forgone the aroma of skunk which visited the outdoor venue. The aforementioned considered, the overall performance was good and we'd be willing to entertain an indoor performance.

The Firestorm was an AMAZING production! The acting was 1st-class and the minimal set added to the production. This was such a timely play, it was hard to believe it wasn't written yesterday. It was thought-provoking and made me do a bit of soul-searching as well. The feelings of sadness within this story (which I'm sure are felt much more often than we know) made me cry several times during the performance. I was a little embarrassed, until I realized I was not alone. This is why I go back to First Folio at Mayslake year after year. Fresh new dramas, sparkling comedies and the very best performers. BRAVO!

I have been to the outside and inside stages. The scenery and the acting are amazing. The selection of plays is varied and could be enjoyed by anyone. And the extra, being housed in an historic mansion.
If you enjoy theater then this is a must visit.

This is a wonderful place to see a show in the suburbs. Easy to get to. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The indoor space is charming. The productions are top notch and thoughtful and fun. Go out and treat yourself to a wonderful evening of theater.
