First EFC is a vibrant and dynamic church located in Ames, Iowa. Our mission is to connect people to life-defining relationships in Christ. Our Sunday worship services are the heart of our community life at First EFC. Each week, we gather together as one body in Christ to sing praises, hear from God's Word through relevant teaching messages that apply biblical principles into everyday life situations , pray together as well as share communion with one another . Our worship services are designed with both traditional elements such as hymns along with contemporary music styles that reflect today's culture.

We also offer small group Bible studies throughout the week where members can dive deeper into Scripture while building relationships with others who share their faith journey. These groups provide opportunities for fellowship, prayer support , accountability , encouragement , learning from each other's experiences while growing closer towards God .

In addition to our regular programs and services, First EFC hosts special events throughout the year that bring our community together in fun-filled activities such as picnics , game nights , movie nights etc . These events provide opportunities for members old & young alike  to connect on a personal level outside of regular church activities.

At First EFC we believe that serving others is an essential part of living out our faith . We encourage all members  to get involved by volunteering their time & talents within the church and in the wider community. We have various ministries that cater to different age groups and interests such as children's ministry, youth ministry, women's ministry, men's ministry etc.

Our commitment to serving others extends beyond our local community. First EFC is actively involved in supporting missions around the world through prayer support , financial contributions and sending out short-term mission teams.
