Look read and then run away as fast as you can. I have had First American for 3 years now. Every 3 months they suspend your account then you have to give them invoices and account statements and they will still decline the transactions. They are not beneficial to a growing business. They intentionally throttle businesses to tell them how much business they can do and if you don't like it they tell you pound sand. It is a constant run around with them.

This company has taken a 44.95 monthly fee out our account for several years without sending month statements. When I was able to determine that the fee was not associated with any of our current merchant accounts. I called to request cancellation paperwork i encountered very rude woman name crystal who kept talking over the top of me. i was trying to get information from her and she kept repeating some gym membership analogy. And that she was sending us to collections after they have deceptively taking money out of our account monthly for almost 6 years. I requested that this account be terminated in 2016. I will be filing a complaint to BBB, Attorney generals office, FTC and any other agency i can find. Be aware of this by a company.
If I could give a negative star, I would. They continue to charge me for credit card services and an annual renewal fee. I notified them 6 months after staring that I wanted my account cancelled. The Sales Rep dropped the ball and did not cancel my account and now they have charged my bank account another $110 annual fee without my authority. I was told that I would have to pay a $495.00 deactivation fee to get it cancelled. Tried Calling the Sales Rep and guess what...No Answer. And the Customer Service people are not help at all. DO NOT SIGN WITH THESE THIEVES. THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND.

For two weeks the folks at this company have been unable to resolve an issue that has put a financial strain on my company and according to them (trying to make me feel good) many other merchants. Their costumer service support grows more and more unprofessional with us the costumer. By the way this is the second time this year we have not been able to fully utilize the software and devices they sold us. And when you want to cancel the service they want to charge you a canceling fee. But I do guarantee at the end of this month they will charging ALL of us their full fee even if they have not been providing us with the services that were promised.

NEXT THING YOU KNOW YOUR USING THE MACHINE FOR ALL YOUR PAYMENTS EVEN KNOW YOUR GETTING PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE AND EVERYTHING SEEMS LIKE THIS IS A EASIER WAY. THEN YOU REALIZE THAT ARN'T MAKING ANY DEPOSIT'S IN YOUR ACCOUNT; AND HAVEN'T IN A LONG TIME. SO YOU CALL THEN AND LET THEM KNOW THEY NEED TO QUIT HOLDING YOUR MONEY AND DEPOSIT IT IN YOUR ACCOUNT LIKE IT WAS SET UP TO DO. BUT THEY TELL YOU THEY DON'T HOLD FUNDS THAT IT IS THE NEW MACHINE THEY INSTALLED A FEW MONTHS BACK HASN'T DONE ANY BATCH REPORT'S. YOU NOT KNOWING WHAT A BATCH REPORT IS SO YOUR TELLING THEM THE MACHINE IS DOING EVERYTHING IT'S SUPPOSE TO DO THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY ISSUE IT READS THE CARD ACCEPTS THE PAYMENT PRINTS THE CUSTOMER THERE RECEIPT. EVERYTHING LIKE IT SUPPOSE TO. BUT THEY TELL YOU THAT BACTH REPORT IS WHAT GET YOU PAID. THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE NOTICE IT SOONER BUT THERE NO WAY TO KNOW WHO PAID OR HOW MUCH, OR ANYTHING SO YOU ACCEPT YOU LOST A FEW MONTHS OF PAYMENTS AND TELLS NOTHING THAT CAN FIX THE UNKNOWN CARDS AND AMOUNTS FOR WHICH YOU THEN START TO TRY TO KEEP UP WITH TO PAYMENT PROCESS AND YOU SEE IT IS WORKING IT IS SHOWING PENDING ON YOUR MOBLIE BANK APP SO YOU CARRY ON WORKING YOUR BUSINESS NON STOP BUT FOR SOME REASON FINANCE LIFE IS NOT ADDIND UP AND YOU REALIZE THAT COMPANY IS STILLING YOUR MONEY AGAIN. SO YOU CALL TO GET TOLD NOTHING THEY CAN DO SORRY SO YOU CANCEL SERVICE STOP ACCEPTING CARDS FOR PAYMENTS CUSTOMERS ARE CALLING TO MAKE THERE PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE AND YOU CANT TAKE IT OVER THE PHONE ANYMORE. THEN HERE SHOWS UP CARD PROCESSING REP. FROM A TOTAL DIFFERENT NAMED COMPANY AND YOU START ACCEPTING CARDS AGAIN THEN YOU LATER WILL REALIST YOUR STILL WITH THE SAME CROOKS JUST ANOTHER THIRD PARTY COMPANY THEY HAVE. FROM THE FIRST DAY YOU CANCELLED SERVICE THEY NEVER STOP BILLING YOU. NEVER STOP TAKING MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT FOR ALL STORT OF CHARGING NEW FEE'S. YOU TRIED TO BLOCK THEM BUT THEY GOT SO MANY DIFFEERT TERMINALES THEY ARE USING AND NEVER THE SAME FEE YOU HAVE TO CHANGE TO A NEW ACCOUNT TO STOP THEM. ************* I still haven't heard anything back from the email you wanted me to contact.*******
This is the worst company! Do NOT do business with them. We have been charged for almost 5 years every month for 2 different stores and our 2nd store even closed 3 years ago. We cancelled them and have not used their services but are still being charged $320 a month. Finally we stopped payment and called and the lady was so rude and said it was being sent to collections. How can a company charge you and they do nothing for you?? They have processed NOTHING is 5 years!! Such a scam!!
I called this company to find out why they have been deducting "fees" from my checking account after I canceled, only to be yelled at by the person who would not identify herself. When I asked her why she was talking to me the way she was, she became even more condescending to my request and told me there was no way they would refund my money. Then she hung up on me. Now I'm forced to fight for the refunds I feel I'm due. This is a huge hassle and I have better things to do in the day running my company. Don't do business with these people or you will regret it.
UPDATE: I noticed the "Response from the owner" comments from this review today for the first time, but after checking my email, I don't see any indication that the Merchant Relations team has emailed me to try and resolve the issue. Not surprising after my previous experience, but I'd like to point it out as another reason why not to work with these people. They simply don't do what they say they will, and obviously "Customer Relations" doesn't mean anything to them.
I was emailed a letter stating I owed almost $1000 in early cancellation fees after being with this company since 2011. I never even canceled the account. I changed banks and had no way of updating my account information except via phone which they are never available. The collections department however answers on the first ring. It s sad that after having a loyal customer for over 10 years you are screwed like this but after reading the reviews I see that this company doesn t care about their clients not one bit. I called today to find out what the fees were for and spoke to the absolute RUDEST person I ve ever dealt with. Good luck on staying in business. Maybe that s why you are a screwing loyal customers because you are definitely headed out of business. I will also be calling the BBB to report.
