Fireside Apartments Review

Living here is just okay, nothing spectacular. My satisfaction is gradually decreasing the longer I live here.

My family has lived here since 2015 and while moving from out of state, not physically seeing the apartment complex have not been too dissatisfied with fireside. Rent is high for the layout but that's what Colorado springs is doing, turning into the new Denver. With the new linoleum floors in I'm loving it. The new windows and sliding door really dress up the place. Nice that the temperature can be regulated in the apartment. The gripes I have now. If 80 percent of the apartment has animals. We are charged $25 a month for a 10 by 12 fenced area. Management gripes about dog poop around the complex. I ask make the pet area bigger and put down new sand every couple of months. Maintenance can do it for you. By all means, fix the landscaping and building two new front entry planter boxes is a start. The Astro turf needs some loving. A rake will suffice. The security is nice and the homeless population has died down quite a bit. I would like to see badge or key fobs for the bigger buildings. Way to keep homeless out. The layout of the apartments are nice. Make the bathroom entrance bigger perhaps wider doorway and for some open up the kitchen area. And the last gripe. If your so adamant about people driving the wrong way. Post signs about tire damage and put in one way tire stoppers. Will fix that quick. To the good stuff. Management staff is nice to include maintenance staff and quick to respond. The upgrades are nice and the construction to the windows and roof to include some new AC systems is a great start to have a convenient gem in a beautiful city. Great location, great staff and decent rent for the size of units. Keep bringing the new upgrades and you will keep bringing good tenants.

There has been new management for about 2 months as well as new maintenance. There have been many changes for the better since then. They will listen and take care of your problems and they have awesome people in the office now with exceptional customer service. Most of the bad reviews are true but not since the new management took over. I can tell they care and are doing their best to sort out the mess left to them by the last management. It has become a much more respectable and safer feeling environment for our little family in just a short time with a new security company etc.

I've been living here for approximately 2 years. I've seen the management come and go as well as the maintenance personnel. However Terry has a good team working with her but the complex still massively lacks. Ever since their team started messing with the plumbing the water gets shut off constantly for them to repair and since then I have been complaining of low water pressure which still has not gotten fixed. Sometimes it takes as long as 5 minutes to fill a small pot with water and it used to come out spraying now it just kind of flows out. Our water is sometimes shut off up to 3 times a week as well. I had to ask that my AC be repaired for over a year because it kept freezing and it lasted a season and now it is back to doing the same thing which I haven't reported yet because I got tired of asking for repairs. I have been asking for my faucet to be repaired for about 2 years now. The last guy I talked to said they would order it and would do it a week later and it still has yet to be done and constantly floods my counter tops and sprays all over the back wall. Then there is my floor that I had asked them to repair because you can feel plywood laying underneath it that moves around while standing on it, they stated I had to move everything out of my living room that of which I have no place to put all my living room stuff so it can't get repaired. I also had to complain about my dishwasher leaking for a year before they went in and replaced a seal and tightened some hoses and it would push water all over my kitchen floor. There was also my refrigerator that would leak water all over the floor as well, that of which I just got tired of asking so I tore it apart and found the blockage in the vent tube. The management is on the right track but man is the maintenance highly lacking when I told them that my ac blew only cool air the owner lady that was here told me it was working fine then and kept telling me how much A&A mechanical charges them, she was extremely snotty in attitude as well. Not only this but they are advertising my same unit for roughly 600 a month and I am currently paying almost 800 and they refused to come down on lease price saying they would have to for everyone. Needless to say this is my last lease I will be signing and might even terminate it early.

This place is a dump. I wouldn't recommend this dirty place unless this is what you like. Broken and dirty. The new maintenance reviews I don't see any quality work. Craiglist can do a better job. I lived here for a while. ran into several problems. My apartment flooded, Can't bring girls over i am ashamed to live in a dump. I am moving. This place is should be shut down. Nobody should live here. Give people there hard earn money back. Thief's!
Those are fake accounts with good reviews, There is no way. We all talk in the hallway. everyone feels the same.

I have lived here for well over 5 years and YES, there used to be a homeless problem and YES there used to be a problem with maintenance and absolutely nothing getting done. When Terry and Kara took over they cleaned out this place of all questionable people. When Kara left and Toni joined the office and maintenance staff were great. For the first time in 3 years I began to see wonderful things happen here. My heater was leaking gas and was replaced, my AC unit was replaced, the light fixtures were fixed, new ceiling fan ( the old one was scary when turned on), leak in bathtub fixed, etc. In November 2018 the complex was sold again and we are currently under new management. I miss Terry and Toni, but Brenda and Kristin are friendly and professional. This complex is old, but they are working hard to upgrade and continue to help us live in a safer community. The dog area needs refreshed and as far as it being kept clean, that is not the office staff or maintenance teams fault. They provide all needed tools to clean up after our pets but not all pet owners are clean. All I can say is clean up after your pet, follow the rules and you will have a very enjoyable experience. This team is still working on improving things here so be patient. First time in 6 years that the pool is warm and the only complaint I have is we need stairs so people like me that are disabled may use the pool.
I would recommend getting some kind of jungle gym or something for the younger crowd to keep them active outdoors.
I would ignore all negative comments after Terry and Toni but before them I totally agree with it all.

Understand how people may feel about the way they have been treated. But the new management is making changes that I know will benefit the residence. Good change is on the way...

This apartment complex is great for anyone who wants a cheaper priced place and can sleep through loud noise throughout all hours of the night. They may have smoke free apartments, but everyone smokes inside and seeps heavily into your apartment rooms. I wasn t the only tenant with this problem. They also are very shady and won t tell you the amount of your last bill even when you say you just want to pay it and close out the account. They will just send you to collections instead. They pretend that they want to help, but management never really does anything for you. I definitely don t recommend.

Have been. There For A Visiting. But I have not been A Resident of The place. Not half bad. Non gated community. . I, Would love to have a lease with them. Well check out the website it is the only way you could get a little more than I can say. Have A Wonderful And Sweet ay

I moved here in October 2016 with a rush to get an apartment ASAP (since I made a quick decision to move). Kara helped me with the process, showed me my apartment and was over all very welcoming even before I actually sign any contract. She was energetic and very knowledgeable about the complex and regulations. After I moved in (which went very smooth) I entered a very clean apartment. Honestly one of the cleanest apartments I have ever seen. The staff that paints and cleans are doing an amazing job.

I have been here a few months and I have got to the point that I am known by name by all the staff. Kara and Terry make an awesome team! Any time I walk into the office, I feel so welcomed and I'm able to get any questions I have answered on the spot.

Terry has been absolutely wonderful in the process of me gaining a roommate. She supplied me with all knowledge that I needed and truly provides marvelous customer service to all.

Recently Kara has been temporarily gone and a wonderful woman named Tina has been helping out. She has been as outstanding as the rest of the staff has been. As I am anxious for Kara's return, I am sadden that Tina was only here for a short time.

I have now lived in a total of 10 different apartment complexes and I can truly say that this experience has been like no other. Great pricing, extraordinary people and outstanding customer service from all staff members at any given time.

I would recommend (and do) to anyone I know. You won't just have a regular apartment, you will have a home.
