Original and authentic cinema. Of of the few u will still find in dam before the money will change every Scrappy place into standard modern design.
The bar is nice & sometimes they have exhibitions, cozy atmosphere with an outdoor terrace where you can socialize with other smokers
Always nice to sit here and have a nice mint tea. Super relaxed place to hang. It is often a mix of students and locals. Good place to meet friends on a Sunday afternoon

Nice style, nice student and artistic. They play nice films, nice people come and the atmosphere is good. The only point of improvement is that it is sometimes very busy, and there is not really a good system for rows / flow of people.
Nice theater with a good atmosphere. Good seats and plenty of space. However, a lot of delay at the checkout so that sometimes a long line arises. The toilets are also not perfect. Ultimately it is about the film and the atmosphere and that combination is great

Movies presented here seem very interesting and topical, which is after all the most important. But the hallway, stairways and toilets are shockingly dirty. Very different from other small movie theaters in Amsterdam, such as e.g. Studio/K, Rialto, De Uitkijk, and De Movies, which often show the same movies. Kriterion, please clean up your act.

Nice atmosphere. Living room-like cafe and always warm people. The service is always friendly. The stairs to the higher rooms are unfortunately very atmospheric and break the look that you get downstairs. The rooms themselves are very pleasant, sometimes a bit cold.

Nice movie house, good atmosphere in the cafe. Normal prices and always different, not ordinary music as background. Great terrace, a lot of young audience. Wide range of films. I think Kriterion is a nice place for a drink and / or arthous movies.

It is very old and basic, but the atmosphere is great!
I see many of my friends coming here for seeing alternative/festival movies. There are some salons for the screening of movies and there is also a cafe. It looks too dark and old school but not in a flashy way. Rather in a depressing and melancholic way. I would rather not go. Only if there is a movie you can't see elsewhere
Old, somewhat neglected film house. The theater is fine, but the rest can be changed a little.

Taco Tuesday was amazing, really good food and a lot of beers! During film night you can bring beer from the bar downstairs which is really great Strong recommend!
Very chill, be prepared for quick change over between movies. Loved the bar by the theatre and how everyone casually strolls in with a beer in hand.

It is a good place to go to the movies. Drinking coffee or something afterwards is another story. The music is so incredibly messy that it is very impractical to talk about the film afterwards. @Kriterion: For whom is that music so loud? For the guests or for the staff?

I like this theater as it is not as commercial as Pathe. Sometimes they have social themes. And the screen is quite big. I had very nice experience there watching movie.
