The reason the wait can be long is because the doctors are thorough. They will call your specialists while you are there to coordinate your treatment. If you live within 10-15 minutes of the office you can call before your appointment to check on the wait time. If it is too long they will call you when there is an exam room available. Makes the wait a lot less long. They ensure you get the recommended tests even if they are not done in their office.
They do not answer the phone at this clinic. When I was seen by the nurse practitioner at this office she was uncaring and did not send prescriptions for the medicine I needed. When requesting a doctors note the front office attendant and nurse both said they would fax it by the end of the day but never did. This is an unprofessional office and they do not ensure patients have an overall good experience. I will not be going here again for primary care.
First let me tell be prepared to wait at least 4 hours (minimum) for your office visit.
Also, don t even begin to tell them you might have heartburn or anything like because they will run all these tests to try and run the bill up to bill your insurance carrier then everyone there comes out with congestive heart failure diagnosis. Then while your there they ll try and sucker you into getting Pap smears, bone density testing etc. before you leave so they can pay for their testing machines. That s the reason you wait for these long hours because cause if you have the time and they can convince you to do all this extra testing they ll get before your gone.cause they don t think you won t come back.
They have to see a minimum of 100 patients a days to pay for monthly costs of facility, etc.
They average about $130,000.00 a month and Dr Megan still not happy with that amount and pushes the staff the bring anyone in at anytime just to make sure they sucker the patient in.
Go somewhere else if you have to. His wife just sits in her office ordering all these antiques and stuff for their house while she pushes staff to collect more and more.
Do not expect to be seen anywhere close to your appointment time. If you have a spare two hours to waste, then this is the doctor's office for you. The doctors are great, but scheduling needs major work.
Love Dr Megna's office. There are long waits but if you live close enough you can wait at home or work until they call you to come on. Been going to this office for well over 20 years and all the Drs are good
