The wine was very good. No food which is a bummer. When. I am paying 30 bucks a tasting I do like to get a little something extra even if I am paying for it. Scenery is beautiful. Service was great. Would recommend. The downstairs and inside are still closed so I am guessing there is more to offer here during non Covid times.

I went this weekend with two friends and we were all pretty disappointed in the experience at Ferrari-Carano. The grounds are stunning and the view is pretty magnificent but it ends right there. They don't waive their $30 tasting with the purchase of any bottles, which doesn't seem very typical of wine country. Isn't the point of tasting a wine to get you to purchase wines from the winery eventually? Our tasting was all over the place, with leftover drips from one bottle and more added later from another, sometimes with no clarity as to what wine we were actually drinking. What was most misleading was that we were told that any bottles purchased that day would be 30% off. When we were rung up at the register, they seemed to have no clue that this promotion was being offered and claimed it was only for joining their wine club. The wines were very mediocre. I'll stick to my memberships in Napa where the service is much better, my tasting fee is waived, and delicious treats are also served. In return I'll continue to buy my bottles there.
This is one of our favorite places in the world. They have such an extensive list of delicious wine to suit everyone s tastes and price points, the property is BEAUTIFUL and they go all out for events like Winter Wineland.
During COVID, we visited 2-3 times, as it was an escape from shelter in place that felt like we were transported to wine country in Italy.
Great service and facility, our only complaint is that babies are not allowed here. Many other vineyards are ok with newborns/infants, but Ferrari is very specific about no kids of any age being allowed. With our little one joining us this past November, we ve had to leave the wine club and will have to move Ferrari to our list of adults-only trips instead of our go-to spot.
We couldn t have asked for a better experience: the premises are simply breathtaking, the wines were outstanding and the service warm and generous. The price was very reasonable if you compare to places like the the Francis Ford Coppola where you don t get the same service and perks. For instance they give with every tasting water (finally!) and a pen to write notes. Those are little details that add to the experience. Thank you for making our visit memorable!
What a beautiful property! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable - Evan was an awesome host and his enthusiasm really made the experience. This is a must see if you are in Sonoma county!
An amazing experience. We were so happy we chose this winery to visit. The grounds were beautiful, wine was great and the service was outstanding. Tony served my boyfriend and I. He was so knowledgeable and explained every taste down to the grape and the vineyard. Thank you Tony for an amazing experience. We will tell our friends, and we will be back!
This winery charged me in September for a delivery to wrong address, and in process of correcting again sent it to a wrong address, and then I spoke with their rep Teri on 12/17/2020 who promised this was finally being corrected and I received an update email with a $2.00 credit for price changes and assertions the wine was shipping, but no tracking info was ever provided and no wine was ever delivered as of 1/9/21. Hence, my conclusion is they are either corrupt or completely incompetent. I now have no alternative but to dispute the credit card charge.....
The overall experience at Ferrari Carano is wonderful. Excellent service and selection in the flight. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with impressive upkeep. They are swish and spit friendly. Worth a visit if you are in the area! My only suggestion would be improved customer service over the phone. When I called the vineyard ahead of time to ask about doing a photoshoot there the staff was abrasive and annoyed by my phone call.
