Great fresh Mexican chef makes your food to order! My favorite is shrimp burrito *(or bowl of you don t do flour) with steak or other meat like barbacoa or chicken added, guacamole added and queso added then however you prefer free pico cheese beans rice & salsa spiciness. Reasonable priced for how filling it is! Drinks seem a bit pricey like a convenience store. Oh well; it s convenient

I have eaten at this restaurant pretty much since it opened. Their food is always fantastic. The main problem I have is the inconsistancy of the hours. They are constantly closing 20-25 minutes early. I feel like EVERY time I try and eat here they are closed. Covid hours, closing at 8pm on the weekend, not open on Sundays, etc. Once again, the food is great but I am getting incredibly irritated when I'm looking forward to your food and then you guys are closed.
Truly the best burrito in Des Moines. Everything is made fresh daily from local ingredients. The atmosphere is great and owner is friendly and funny while he cooks your food. Great selection and good prices. The chili relano is probably the best I've ever had
This is the best burrito in Des Moines by far! Skip the chains and come into Fernandos instead. The tortillas are made fresh in front of you and it s clear that they prep everything on the line vs taking it out of a bag. The owners are very friendly and working often. Don t walk, run here!
Absolutely delicious. A surprise find. They were making queso homemade on the stove, served up fresh. Highly recommend.
A nice little eatery in DeMoines Iowa. Very good food and they have the real deal glass bottle cokes. Definitely would visit there again.
The meat is what makes this place special. The other ingredients are pretty standard, but the meat is tender and tasty and perfect. Great stuff. I'll be back.

It troubles me to be asked for a 20% (recommended) tip when I pay to pick up my to go order.
As far as I'm concerned, a $10 fast food burrito has a 20% tip built in.
