Your life changing experience, you can live longer, and with a step at a time can change my mind. You who matters is a great way to start the day ahead a place for bringing me back when you feeling you've lost all that was, you start to live again.

I live here in the neighborhood of Fellowship Commons. It's a really nice place to live in and visit. The people who work for Fellowship are great people, very kind and compassionate. There's a great deal of love and neighborhood friendliness. I'm also super grateful for all the support and kindness that I've received from the staff that works here.

There are other non-profits where the administration pays themselves less and the organization is self-governing. For instance people who manage or have suffered from a psychological diagnosis, who are also the administrators. Constitutionally speaking, grant money could go toward the members democratically.

Also all the decisions are made by one person who reports to a board of directors. From what I understand the executive director position is one with an LCSW which needs to be paid for by being re-certified.

Would a bachelors degree not be more appropriate for a non-profit and their members?

Overall Fellowship place has great intentions for folks who need help, however, more of the money they are granted should go to the members they serve versus the administration.

Do they still serve that awrful watered down flavor aid or liquid jello when they run out? Great art program but too many creeps run wild and if you go there take every vaccine you can they let unclean people in to touch everything and made me sick 3 times in one month.

Could use some work on it's staff with helping people get into their programs... Overall a good place for people with mental health issues to get out of the house and focus on other things. Great food program. Good homeless outreach center as well. They just need more room and staff to help more.

About Fellowship Place

Fellowship Place is a non-profit organization that has been providing therapeutic support and rehabilitation services for adults living with mental illness for over sixty years. The organization was founded in 1955 by a group of concerned citizens who recognized the need for community-based mental health services.

Fellowship Place offers a wide range of programs and services to help individuals with mental illness achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. These programs include case management, supported employment, housing assistance, peer support, and wellness activities such as yoga and meditation.

One of the unique aspects of Fellowship Place is its focus on recovery-oriented care. This means that the organization works with individuals to identify their strengths and build on them, rather than focusing solely on their symptoms or diagnoses. By taking this approach, Fellowship Place helps individuals develop the skills they need to manage their mental health challenges and achieve their personal goals.

Another key aspect of Fellowship Place's work is its commitment to community integration. The organization recognizes that social isolation can be a significant barrier to recovery for individuals with mental illness, so it works to connect clients with meaningful opportunities for social engagement in the wider community.

Fellowship Place also places a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices in its programming. This means that all interventions are grounded in research and have been shown to be effective in improving outcomes for individuals with mental illness.

Overall, Fellowship Place is an invaluable resource for adults living with mental illness in the New Haven area. Its long history of providing high-quality care combined with its innovative programming make it an essential part of the local healthcare landscape.
