Fiat Chrysler said it plans to invest 700 million (approximately $ 2.9 billion) in this new generation of the Fiat 500 with electric propulsion. This is FCA's biggest bet on an electric vehicle to date.

FCA's head of operations for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, Pietro Gorlier, announced the investment in the Mirafiori plant in Torino, Italy, which turns 80 this year. "The plan is confirmed," Gorlier said when asked whether FCA remained committed to investing in electric vehicle technology after the plan to merge with Renault, a specialist in that type of propulsion, collapsed.

Gorlier said the investment will go to the construction of a new production line at Mirafiori, capable of manufacturing 80,000 units of the new 500 EV annually, with the potential to expand capacity thereafter. The next 500 electric will be Fiat's first EV to be marketed in Europe, as the 500e had little success and was unique to the US market.

It is not true that you cannot access the plant, you only need to inquire when there are organized visits, it seems to me they are limited in number but only for safety reasons, very interesting and instructive with photographs of times gone by with today's places very beautiful the mosaic in the building that represents .........

Covers go off
Vehicle rusting
Handholds break off
etc.
In addition, one is still sold for stupid.

DO NOT BUY THE RENEGADE, IT IS A SCAM !!!!! WELCOME TO ARGENTINA THE MOST ILLUSIOUS AND EASY TO STEAL TRUCK ON THE MARKET !!!!!
I bought a Renegade in May and after 15 days I was surprised that not only did they break the lock and stole the spare wheel but the alarm did not work either. To increase my surprise, I see that they had lifted with a screwdriver the plastic that you see in the photo that is outside the truck where the windshield ends, the place where the geniuses who designed the truck set the alarm !!!!!!!!. Faced with this facility to steal, the thieves had not only turned off the alarm to easily enter the car but also stole it. When making the claim to the dealer (Northville Pilar, Buenos Aires, Argentina) and to Fiat Chrysler Argentina, not only did they not want to be held responsible for the design flaw of the truck, having to cover the expenses of breaking the plastic panel on my own (more than 10 thousand pesos) but since that date I have been waiting for the spare parts for the alarm and the lock that they tell me that they are not available in the factory and they do not know when there will be. In other words, there are no spare parts for a truck made in Brazil. Luckily I did not buy an American or a European. Faced with your lack of response and commitment to solve the problem, I am forced to do this.
