The only highlight was the fried chicken wings I would say!! The crab was not so big and pricy
The only highlight was the fried chicken wings I would say!! The crab was not so big and pricy
Waiting time can be quite long, they don't seat u on basis of first come first serve
The best place to eat crab. The crab very fresh and big, suitable with the price. The shrimp also not bad. Fat and fresh. The place also have a big space. Sometimes crowded, sometimes not. Even the place is full of customers, the foods still well served and delicious. The staffs also very helpful. Keep up the good work!
One of the top restaurant in Petaling Jaya, very suggested for family.
Crab is yummy over there...it's bit crowded so go early if u are going for dinner
Excellent place to splurge on crabs. Delicious and worth it. Fried rice was really tasty and so was their fried chicken wings.
Chicken wings and sweet-sour-spicy crab are off the chart. The host was great
Super delicious
Crab meat is juicy and juicy, but the sauce is sour but not so sweet
Must visit every time
Reservations cannot be made. I'm satisfied because it's a little lined up, it's good, and it's cheap.
The price is quite high
Crab 1 kg $60
But the crab is not big.
Unique chili crab that is different from normal one. It's not so sweet with some sour taste. Love the fried chicken wing.
Came around 8pm to Q. From Q to the table to the arrival of crab took 50min for me. Love to eat the crab with toast.
This is literally my favourite place to eat. I don't even mind the queue! Just come in the evening and it should be fine.
Very delicious food to eat, especially the sweet chilly crabs and fried rice. Have to go early to avoid long line waiting for your turn.
The chilli crab and chicken wings are great. A bit of a like if you come by 8+ but the lines move fast
Nice food. However the queue is always long. I went at 5.30pm and still need to queue for 45 min. If you crave for crab it's still worth to wait though.
A bit overrated throughout the years. 1 kati ketam = rm55, 1 pc chicken wing = rm3
Good queue management. Food was delicious but menu limited and pricier than comparable restaurant. Attentive staff.
The crab was hands down finger-licking good!!had to order another portion, the price of the crab depends on how many grams it is, as for the fried rice...would rate it as same as the latter. The only problem i have is the prawn, it s not that it doesn t taste delicious...the portion was SMALL but the price was charged way too much but overall would recommend giving it a go! A tip is if you want to try it out make sure to come way earlier before it even opens or you ll be on the waiting list for a long time
The stir-fried crab is top-notch and has an unforgettable taste. It is a pity that the environment is relatively old, there is no A-level hygiene, and the attitude of the waiters is ordinary.
I had sweet and sour as well as steam. I'm surprised to report that I'd prefer the steam as the taste for the first sauce seems weird. Ordered the bread and regretted it. Expecting some garlic butter on the bread to better blend in the taste but that didn't happen.
But the wait queue is very long. The food is delicious though.
The service is excellent.. Of cos the food its awesome.. The price still can consider ok, but won't regret.. Not only crabs you can get there, prawn, fish etc.. Recommended to all..
I don't understand why you have so high rating. For me, it is no good, very salty of your food, and price at high side
Overall good food. The crab dishes (spicy sour sauce and steamed) and fried rice were delightful. The satay was mediocre buy the chicken wings were well seasoned and fried. It's nice to be able to order toast to mop up the sauce. The sugar cane water was not that good as it was too dilute. The meal comes at a hefty price, but I'd say it's worth the occasional treat. Eating crab is always a messy affair, so I recommend bringing food handling gloves. Waiting times can be a pain, and I found it hard to attract the attention of the staff after we ordered. I also found the restaurant a bit hot. And interestingly, no vegetable dishes.
Long queue and always crowded but it didn t stop me from going there coz the chili crab sauce is one of a kind that I can t get it from anywhere else. Remember to bring cash as they don t accept any other payment.
Only crabs, prawns, satay, fried chicken and fried rice served here.
Very nice experience eating crab at the fatty crab restaurant! And the prawns and satay are very nice as well!
The best spicy sour crabs in Malaysia... Queues are long and there is a really valid reason for it.
Remember to order toast bread to soak in the gravy. The fried rice is awesome. Dont need to order anything else.
The foods are great, service is good, a bit crowded even at night, very recommended.
Crab either not so fresh or overcooked. Overall good.
Food nice, but the way staff talk was a bit not friendly
Warm fried rice, ask for it ok it's still warm. Before the table can take a long line. Time lined up, a young Chinese male staff, looking at taking orders for a middle-aged customer. When it came to our turn to share a table, a group of chinese behind us, he had to go upstairs. But before you ask, is there a desk upstairs? He said there was no Chinese to line up with us 4 he raised to the top, but he also raised us to the top. Ok be patient, because q is long and crowded. Until our turn, myanmar workers gave us a seat, we were surprised by our angry Chinese aunty sitting at that table. We are the children of 5 children. It's been a long time since we got herd while we were there, we paid not to eat for free! In a ruckus, the husband chooses to sit at a small table for 4 people. Myanmar staff did not feel sorry for us but what did we do, what did we do wrong for us? The chinese and aunty staff were still in a frenzy, at the heart of the table for 10 people. Looking at one eye against us in Japanese slippers, can we eat free? The old aunty and the chinese men need to learn more civics, not to choose feathers.
Overrated. Sauce is nice enough but the crab is of poor quality and not particularly fresh, yet they charge you extortionate prices for it.
I tried this restaurant as I was curious about the restaurant as whenever I pass by this restaurant there is always a queue and the restaurant always seems to be packed. After trying this restaurant I can say this is the worst crab place I have ever tried. I am not sure what is the hype. The crabs serve were not fresh , the meat of the crabs were soggy and soft ( usually the freshest crabs the texture is springy ) and was sold overpriced. The gravy of the crab tasted really normal which only tasted sour, nothing to special about it. The fried rice is also really disappointing, tasted of burnt fried rice and the taste is really bland, worst than home cooked fried rice. All I can say is I think the city ppl don t really know how to eat seafood. They can t differentiate what is fresh crab and what is a bad crab.
The crab is full of meat, delicious and the quality is consistent. The price is also reasonable (RM90/ plate). My family enjoyed our meal there and would highly recommend others to try out the place.
good food friendly staff. you have to wait a bit though
Fresh and big crab and the Fried rice is also yammeee.
The queue was quite short after 8:30 on a weekday so we only waited 15 mins for a table for 9 people upstairs. The food arrived fast. The crabs were so fresh and delicious, just only the sauce was so spicy that day... It was not that spicy when I ate it last time. The chicken wings are great so as the satay and fried rice! The price is reasonable for the amount of crabs we have eaten. It is recommended that you go for a light dinner at around 9:30 so you can skip the crowd and enjoy the crabs!!
Fatty crab has been consistently able to maintain their flavor and quality since the 90s. The special unique tangy and spicy sauce has been their signature with no other restaurant came close to match it. The only issue is they were unable to price lower due to inflation n crab demand. You can order the fried wings while waiting which are equally good. As usual do expect a queue but I still truly love this place.
Food was ok. Waiting was so long. And too noisy to talk.
Worst experience ever. Chicken wings was the only good food.
Other than that, only 2 varieties of crab ( some weird tasting sweet and sour crab & steam crab which is literally steam without any sauce ) SUCKS
Prawns was not fresh.
No steam/ fried mantau only toasted bread.
No white rice . Only fried rice.
No vegetables what so ever.
Worst dining experience. People who come here are on and on are either tasteless or just for the hype.
Overrated
Great restaurant. Good food with great crab speciality dishes.
It's really really delicious. Three women ate 900g with 3 chicken wings and fried rice, but I ate it all as if hiding my eyes. I regretted doing more after eating..
Even if I gave 900g and a set of fried rice in front of one person, I think I would have eaten it all. Oh, by the way, fried rice is not delicious by itself, but it is really really delicious because it is mixed with chili crab sauce. Of course, it is delicious in itself, but the real sauce is the best dignity. It's a little spicy, so I keep my hands moving.
I decided to go again tomorrow.
I was worried about going because it was far from the hostel, but I have to go even if it is really far away. It's a distance of 30~40 ringgit on the Grab, but I really go.
I ate like that and it came out about 110 ringgit. Really. Malaysian food is expensive, but I think I can't eat it like that in Korea.
I highly recommend it!!!!
(Last order is 10:45. The chicken wings and satay may be finished sooner!!! We can't eat it because the satay ingredients have run out.)
Great place for group gathering or family dinner. Restaurant itself is serving pork free seafood meals, crab in particular.
Fried rice and honey garlic fried prawns are also their specialties
the crabs especially the gravy really delicious. must try it with roti bakar. don't forget to order the chicken wings too.
Delicious food, unique taste, especially chicken wings and crabs.
Delicious crab and chicken wings.
Unique taste.
Crowded and expensive. Worth a try though as the chilli crab sold here is different from other restaurants.
Came at 5pm and almost full house, peoples started to Q up.
Ordering here are pretty simple, just follow what other tables have ordered
Ok place for crab and priced reasonably. Not much choices on menu and limited to crab in two ways, fish in teochew style, fried rice, prawn. Satay and chicken wing. Taste is alright and they only accept cash. Fried drumstick/chicken wing can be better
Fried rice & chicken wings were very delicious.
Crab dish likewise. But the satay...hmmm. The barbecued meat and sauce did not come close to those i have relished. However best you try it. As they say, one man's meat is another man's poison.
sekejap sedap, sekejap tak.. balik rumah berak-berak
Nice place to have seafood and beers...but unfortunately cash only for the payment
There is no question about it: come early as 5:00pm and easily find vacant tables or else stand queuing outside with mouths watering along with 20-30 other people if you want to come here. Everything here is paid in cash only but everything here taste excellent. This place has always has a set of multi-racial muhibah clients.
Love the food there.. Must try the fried rice, super delicious..
