Fairrington Transportation Review

I came here not expecting quick service like most reviews stated. I Was pleasantly surprised though. Arrived @ 2pm for a 3 PM appointment. At 240 was In a door. 4pm started loading and was loaded and rolling by 5pm. Not too bad. Shipping and receiving is at the end of the building on the north side. Pull to the right and walk in the office. They have signs stating this but I guess some drivers cant read and they will block the traffic. Its one way in and one way out so if you pull all the way in you have to go around the building if they give you one of the doors by the entrance. Like I said my experience wasn't too bad but it could have just been my lucky day.

Eh..... Don't work here. You have to be Mexican to get weekends off!
This place is a death trap.
Racks come flying off all the time.

The Greater Chicago I-55 Truck Plaza is within 1.5 miles of this location. I arrived on property 4 hours early for an 8pm appointment. I didn't check in but the yard guy knocked on my door around 4:15 and told me to go check in. (I had called earlier) They put me in a door around 4:30 and started loading around 8:00. Paperwork and ready to roll at 21:00.

arrived at 12:30, start loading at 15:00 and all very bold. 16:00 still loading

A great place to hush the track during parking, do not drive around without turning around. Attention!! Loaded very long.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
Whatever broker is telling you, that you gonna be loaded quick and they are doing a lot of load and never having issues - NOT TRUE!!!!!

I was here to pickup I changed in 1:00 pm and got load 11 pm

The worst company I have ever been to...stay away from this company. I have been here for 6 hours and they still did not start loading. Horrible place.

Should of been a simple drop and hook but they kept telling me spaces to drop that were already full, so I just dropped in an empty one and they got mad and tried to make me move it but I refused. Then they couldn t find the trailer I was picking up so I had to call my company get the trailer number go find it myself and hook. Then go back and fight them for the paperwork because they didn t think I had the right trailer when I did, it even showed it on THEIR paperwork.... absurd, avoid

I'm speechless. 7pm yesterday and still waiting, it's 8 am next day. We canceled the load

Horrible place. I am waiting to get loaded 6 hours already and who know when I am gonna get loaded. I will never come to this place.

i worked there twice, the 1st time i started as a temp and got hired permanently but had to take a leave of absence. a few years later i came back as a temp and continued there until i got a permanent position at the V.A. Farrington is a great place to work for a certified forklift operator

Bring a book to read. Hopefully you'll have plenty of hours left on your 14.

Hugh.......!!! If you have time on your hand... Alots of time on your hand. Then you can waste quite few hours to get your 53' trailer loaded. I wish to never be sent to that location. I know.. They might and probably are busy... But for a truck driver it is just a waste of time.. Unless is paid by the hour (every hour not after being waiting fot 2 hours) if you like the road and your wheels spinding... This is not the place for you

The facility is big, but you don t have any staging area, and believe me you need it, even when it was preloaded trailer pick up , never on time, I have never left here without spending 6 hrs minimum, and when you check in and they don t have a door for you, they give you their number and say call in a hour, after a hour , call in another hour and so on and so forth . They do have a small drivers lounge and clean bathrooms, be ready to take your 10 hr break here, good luck to all

Fairrington has the nicest, friendly, out going staff that i've rarely encountered in their profession.

Then going to this place for the past 14 years another trucking company be patient

AVOID !!! App time 14h, they give me door at 16 and finish with loading at 0145am next day...

This place is a mess, need a lot of growing up to do

7 hours at dock and thay still didn't sstart loading. Definitely I'll lose whole day...don't come here!

I've delivered and picked up your at least 20 times. They are usually pretty fast and they have a decent area for drivers to take a break inside.

Guys be aware don't come here waste your time if you coming here make sure bring your food you will take 10 hour break or more.. will not come back lazy guys loading truck 9 hour...

Expect to be here at least for 3 to 4 hours waiting to get loaded.

Hit or miss with this place but the front desk is always polite and helpful!

Am check at 2 pm wait until 5 pm,after went to the office talk to worker's, they will start lauding 8 pm.I am close the door and went out I am not gonna wait until 8pm.I am not recommend this place.Do not take load .very bad company -5 start

Front desk and yard spoter always friendly. Enough space for maneuvering semi trailer.

Absolutely terrible place to pickup freight! Every single time I come here I would loose 5-6 hours to get loaded! Absolutely ridiculous, I will never come to this place again! Btw your appointment means nothing

If your owner operator, Please don't come here! They take very long to load. They have too "stage" the pallets before they can load you...I came early for a 1 p.m. Appointment. It's past 6 p.m. and they didn't even start. Also Amerilux logistics brokers only pay $30 detention for this company. It seems that of you're a UPS or swift or j.b hunt you'll probably be out in 1 hour... If your and owner operator....they'll take really long.

Very slooooow for pick up. Over 4 hours, no detention. Not worth coming here.

10/19/19 Got here around 1030am for 11am appointment. At 8pm they called and gave me a door. Told me it takes 2 to 4 hours to stage load then 1 hour to load. In between the time I got here and the time they called and gave me a door I went and checked with office about 3 or 4 times and they said still waiting something was wrong with their system. The staff in office was nice but I will never return. I'd rather not have a load then to have my time wasted. This is ridiculous. Everyone/place has its days but its happens way to much.

They load you ok, but later the pallets will be upside-down, tilted and twisted. Since it happens in your trailer - that is your job to help unloading. They save on packaging too much.

The truck in the photo almost ran me off the road on the highway. They whipped into my lane as if they were in a small vehicle. Put the blinker on at the last minute and just cut right in front of me. RETRAIN YOUR DRIVERS OR HIRE DRIVERS WITH EXPERIENCE OR THEY WILL KILL SOMEONE OR CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND YOUR COMPANY WILL BE LIABLE. This happened in Milwaukee, WI on 9/20/18 around 5:30.

Super fast unloading for 20min. No overnight parking

When i came here I didn t expect fast service. Check in was very easy, you just need appt number, than they will give you the door. My appt for delivery was at 3am, I arrived at 1pm (almost 10hours later). And one and half hour later I was done.

Had an appointment for a pick up at 1pm. I got here at 11am and was told to back into dock 23. They still have yet to start loading my truck and I have been sitting in the dock over 7 hours now. I don't expect them to get started anytime soon either. ELD's won't be the reason truckers can't make money. The reason truckers can't make money is because shippers and receivers hold driver for stupid long hours and they don't get held responsible for it.

Donot come here for loading unless you have atleast 8 9hours on your elog, as there is no nearest parking place here. I came here 3 o clock and its 8 pm and did not start loading me.

Unfortunately their system is not working until while they still check in another 5-10 drivers.
