One of my favourite hotels in Nairobi. Manicured gardens with antiquities all around you, good variety of food. Rooms are spacious and the hotel has all the amenities required; gym, pool, sauna, steam room, conference facilities to name a few.

Fairmont The Norfolk is situated next to Nairobi University main campus in Nairobi CBD. It's a hip modern upscale hotel with beautiful interior and very friendly crew from the gate to room service. Drop in for lunch or dinner in their 2 restaurants at the ground floor balconies.

Attended the Kenya Fashion Awards launch held here. Great space for such events with an open bar, restaurant and hotel rooms. I also loved the food served during the event.

I can tell you stories of this. I have been served better in Europe than in Kenya by waiters. I once travelled with a Danish friend to kenya. I decided to take her out for lunch. We walked into Norfolk, ordered lunch. You could feel the difference from the door. I asked for a table for two. That's the last time I got any attention. Everything else was about her. If she enjoyed the service, or if the food was good. I was a complete after thought. She noticed and thought it was weird. When I asked for the bill. It was handed to her. She then gave it to me to pay. You better believe I didn't leave a tip. (from a friend)

The Norfolk is always consistent, which is good if you are looking for the same thing. The rooms are great, amazing staff, good food, they have truly mastered the art of hospitality. It's close to university of Nairobi and Kenya National Theatre but once you get in, its serene and doesn't feel as if you are close to the CBD. Plenty of parking with valet and easy to find.

Top notch service from the butlers, service staff, bar personnel to the room stewards. The location is serene, cool and scintillating.
Greatly furnished executive wing, suites and conference halls as well.
Perfect location for a photo shoot session.
Beauty pageants are held here on a regular as well as live music bands.
Great decor and general atmosphere.

Wonderful experience. We stayed twice on layovers in Nairobi. Very elegant hotel reminding us of colonial Africa. Elegant bar and two great restaurants. Staff bent over backwards service wise. My wife's backpack split, and when we went down to ask for tape for repair, the bellman actually said he preferred to sew it for more durability, and it was done in under and hour!

Arrived late in Nairobi and stayed here for the night. Excellent service upon arrival and the chef made a nice meal for two hungry travellers. The room was nice and waking up and walking into their wonderful garden made us realise that our vacation had started. Highly recommend the place. Uh and the have a spa!
