My mom was transferred to this facility last July 2020 and we are blessed and grateful to all the staff who took care of her. She stayed for a month to do rehab due to hip fracture. She's on her 80's and you know how it is on that age group. All the staff are important and contributes and affects her well being. She was taken cared like a family of their own. The therapy people did a tremendous job for gaining her strength and endurance. The CNA's and Nurses played a big role to her safety and all her medical needs. The front desk and security are great. The director and social workers are always up to date in communications and make sure everything is in order. Covid testing are weekly basis and again they're great in reporting it to the family. Cannot complain about the food. After discharged they continuously call and get update for qbout 3 weeks just to make sure if my mom is coping well at home. You guys are our heroes and you all rock Thank You is not enough, but God sees all you do and He'll take care of the rest

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The Wound Care Team Is AMAZING!!! The Therapy Team is AWESOME!! The CNAs and Nurses are GREAT!!!!! Even the staff in the kitchen are GREAT they accommodate to the patients specific needs and make sure they help in any way they can! All of the Staff are WONDERFUL!!!! My father was here for a couple of months for short term rehab and he has gotten so much better being here because Fairmont s team helped him so much with his care. The staff knows everyone by name and they treat you like your a part of their family they are so loving and caring!!! We are so grateful for all of them. They did an amazing job!
Wanda is amazing. She truly understands what it s like to be a worried relative calling to check on a loved one as she kept such a calm and reassuring demeanor as I inquired about my grandmothers day and her needs. This is lovely to have.
We are very lucky to learn about Fairmont care from our doctor and the social worker at the hospital. My mother in law had a very complicated surgery and she had to go to rehab for a while. I even don t know what to start from. Everything and everybody were excellent! Rooms are huge , new and having everything you can think of. Including private shower and bathroom. As soon as we brought my mother in law, we were welcomed by nurse supervisor, admission personnel- Brian and Kristen and dietary person Michael, who made sure we know what to expect. Nurses and CNAs are very helpful and knowledgeable, always smile and make you feel comfortable. Therapy- the best therapy team!! Melissa, Eric, Amanda and many more, worked so hard on my mother in law that she was able to go home way before we were told at the hospital. Big thank you, guys!!! We are highly recommend Fairmont care center !
The occupational and physical therapists are excellent. They really care about the patients. The nurses and cnas are all top notch. I'm so glad to say that I made a lot of friends there.
I am very happy with the care my Mom is getting at Fairmont Care. I don't have to worry about her well being . The staff is very friendly , nice and helpful. The whole experience putting my mom in a nursing home was very difficult but everybody there made it so much easier and the whole process was pleasant. I would highly recommend Fairment Care to friends and Family.
My father in law had great treatment from the staff here. He was moved here from the hospital to rehabilitate from his broken pelvis and bad infections. The therapists worked with him very well and he progressed faster than the doctors told us to expect. He was treated very very well and is back up and going. He joined me yesterday to watch my son race.
These people are MURDERERS! They are grossly understaffed and far too reliant on student workers. The workers are not skilled in complex care and the administration is an absolute abomination. If I could give them a negative star I would. Do yourself a favor and please don't bring your family member here!
My grandmother was a patient at Fairmont Care this past month. She was admitted as a COVID patient and our first impression was that the staff was very attentive. We were allowed to visit her daily outside of her bedroom window every day. The staff would help my grandma move from the bed to the couch, so that she could have a better look at us. If we called them to charge her phone they would do so in a timely manner. We are a big family, so we were very satisfied that it wasn't an issue how many of us dropped by throughout the day. Prior to the nursing home, my grandmother had been hospitalized for 3 weeks. (1 of those weeks in ICU) It was very important for us to check in on her because we had gone so much time without seeing her.
Her last days at the nursing home was when our impression of Fairmont Care changed. My grandmother was switched to the generic non-Covid unit...and the staff was terrible. We took her home cooked meals every so often and they would bring her the food whenever they felt like it. Cold or sometimes not at all. Extremely disappointing because that was the very least they could do. We also brought my grandmother slippers which were never handed to her, neither were other personal items. It felt like my grandmother was a burden and no relative wants to ever feel that way.
I am submitting this to ensure other families don't experience the same type of disappointment and frustration we did. The staff is rude and insensitive.
My father was found unresponsive here And passed away I believe the nurses weren t doing there job every time I was there they didn t give him his food on time or change his garbage and sheets when I would come they would shake and tremble ... I remember leaving the facility and I asked a nurse who was sitting down to kindly let us out the doors so the alarm won't go off and she started mumbling and talking to her self saying "this ain't even my job ughh I ain't even clocked in ughh I got 5 more minutes till work" so imagine if she was mad she had to open a door and not get paid imagine how they treat the patients oh and mind you two days before my dad passed away and on the day a couple hours before his hands and feet were swelling and the nurses ignored it I remember my dad telling me he wanted to leave and that they weren't helping him for his therapy for his legs and the night before he passed he wanted to go home but the doctors and nurses said stay I wonder why hmmm insurance pays!!! Don't ever bring your loved ones here you probably won't ever see them again
My grandmother was moved here 4 days after her knee replacement surgery by the order of the Amazing Dr. Finn (Weiss Hospital) for physical therapy. I cannot say enough what a wonderful, attentive, professional therapy team. They kept me in the loop about her rehab, what the expectations are and even called me to attend meetings about her. I love that they are so proactive. The room is very modern, clean, large windows and the bathroom for her was perfect to get around. The staff is very friendly and attentive to her. She was so worried they would forget about her and have no care but she was so surprised and so was I. (this is only about the new building side, the old part I can't comment about)
We are a home care provider and have visited almost every care facility in Chicago. Some are clearly better than others and this is one of them. I was impressed by the skill and compassionate care they provided our mutual patient. Not just by the care team but by EVERYONE we have encountered in this care facility. Great job helping those that count on us!
Care for the elderly has certainly come a very long way! Fairmont Felt so much more like home than any nursing home I had experienced in the past. My mother-in-law and father-in-law we re both in this facility for rehab. The staff was caring and friendly and helped my in-laws through this phase in their life. Walks around the facility included beautiful gardens and a Bird sanctuary. The rooms very much so seemed like a home instead of a medical facility. I would highly recommend Fairmont for your loved ones.
Fairmont Care is a caring and wonderful place! I stayed there for 5 and a half months from August 2018 through February 2019 and I highly recommend it!! Here are excerpts from the thank you email I sent to the administrator:
I don't even know where to start, because there are so many people who I'd like to thank for contributing to my recovery and progress at Fairmont Care!!
First and foremost would have to be Cristina, Diana and Julio. All 3 of them do their jobs thoroughly, yet quickly, without cutting any corners or letting patient care fall by the wayside. They are absolutely amazing and obviously take great pride in their work. Many a morning, I'd had a rough night, but I knew everything would be ok once Cristina or Diana would arrive and be my 1st shift CNA. Everyone loves these 2 outstanding women and deservedly so!! What can I say about Julio? He might be on 1st shift or 2nd shift, but he's sure to make you laugh and feel better! Julio refuses to let anybody feel down or depressed on his watch. Most importantly, all of them really care and isn't that what really counts?! I am blessed to have made lifelong friends with these 3 exceptional people!!
Next, I have to mention my favorite nurse of all, Marlene. I always felt safe and comfortable with Marlene on the job. She's very knowledgeable, friendly and again, really cares. I could relax and know that everything would be done right and held to the highest standard on Marlene's shift.
On to the therapy team. That's what they really are, a TEAM! If one was off, another would cheerfully fill in and give me just as much time and attention as always. The two most wonderful people for me were Christine Yee-Villamor and Amy Rayeske. I called Christine my "mighty mouse!" This is because she would always challenge me, encourage me and produce tremendous results. Amy was mutli-talented! She is a fantastic occupational therapist and she was always there to literally show me how to do things, whether it was a PT or an OT task. For example, the first time I was able to stand was right after Amy showed me the technique that Christine was explaining to me to use. These two unbelievable young women are absolutely the reason I can walk, sit, stand and function in my own apartment at Concord Place. If it weren't for Christine and Amy, I'd surely be facing life in a nursing home at the age of 57. They were also my biggest cheerleaders throughout it all!! Thank you to Eric for all his help and wisdom and especially, for giving me my dynamic duo!!
The wonderful wound care team skillfully helped me through a myriad of issues and I greatly appreciate each and every one of them! It doesn't hurt that they all have personality plus!!
Activities is a great group of people! More people who care and show their love!!
The dietary department for organized special meals that helped me lose over 100lbs during my stay at Fairmont!
Your staff and especially you have been fantastic! Always there for me when any questions or issues came up. You were truly my lifeline with all the paperwork and extra things I sometimes felt overwhelmed by. You pretty much lifted all the burdens from my shoulders and took them upon yourself!!
To sum it all up, Fairmont Care gave me my life back and I'll be forever grateful! I will always feel like a part of the Fairmont family!
Our client with Lakeshore Senior Services left the hospital for rehabilitation at the Fairmont nursing home. My staff and I are impressed with the care and the staff at Fairmont. Tom Volini president of Lakeshore Senior Services
I would highly recommend Fairmont Care! Both my brother and sister in law had occasion to be there as inpatients for rehab and physical therapy. The nursing staff was very attentive and responsive to their needs. They have top notch physical therapists and the facility was clean, bright, spacious and gave you a sense of well being. Everyone is friendly and kind and they really care about the patients. You will make the right decision by choosing Fairmont Care.
Fairmont Care has Some of the best service around! My dad has been using Fairmont Care for their rehabilitation physical therapy services and it has been working wonders for his legs. They have a skilled staff there to help him work through a range of exercises to help him build his strength back up. The staff works with him and motivates him to finish his exercises. They also have a lot different machines to help you through different motions. Overall, we're extremely pleased with the attention and dedication from the Fairmont staff
I just had major surgery and an from out of town. I was referred here and, from the moment I arrived, the staff has bent over backwards to take care of me. They have a full staff of very knowledgeable medical personnel and a full physical therapy ward which was very important for me as I had some nerve damage from the surgery. They are very polite and always professional and caring.
The care that both my parents received at the facility was wonderful . The entire facility is well maintained and the patient rooms were very nice for my parents and also for family members visiting for long periods of time. The physical therapy facilities and staff were wonderful too. The entire staff was very accommodating and responsive to all of our needs.
