We come here for kid glasses. They take excellent care of fitting little ones and go the extra mile. We stopped by to pick up a backup set of glasses, and technician noticed there was a very small scratch on his current glasses. They ordered him new lenses on the house Bc we had purchased within the year.

I found this place on google and believed it would be a nice place to try since it had so many good reviews. Be prepared to not be greeted by a not so happy face at the front desk. She didn't say a word but threw the paper work down on the counter instead of handing it to me. She clearly was miserable. I waited until I was finally greeted by a pleasant helper. She took the exam for the doctor and placed me in the waiting room for the results. I was upset because I was already waiting a full 20 mins and still nothing. I went out to the front desk woman and she was stated the doctor was with someone else and if I would like to reschedule. At that point I was already over her rude tone and the wait so I stated no. I asked for my paperwork back which she refused to give me. If you don't want to ruin your day stay away!
Had my first appointment here today and was extremely happy with the entire experience. Such friendly staff! Everything from to speaking with the staff at reception, to my visit with Dr. Scranton, to having my new prescription immediately emailed to me was pleasant and efficient. I was in and out within 35 minutes. Will definitely be coming back!
Received a notification from this office that I was due in for an exam, booked the exam, then received a bill for the full out-of-pocket costs because my insurance, TRICARE, only allows for an exam once every two years, which the office would have known. What an extremely predatory practice by a doctors office. Patient care should not be predicated on scamming them into appointments not deemed necessary by insurance - and if they are medically necessary, then I would expect the offices to work it out with insurance OR notify the patient at the outset that they are not covered. I m extremely disappointed that I was contacted to book a yearly exam when the office knew only one every two years was covered.
Rarely do I have such a positive experience at a provider that I want to shout it from the rooftops, but I love this practice.
Dr. Scranton is - there's really no other word for it - FUN. Not only is he good at what he does, visiting him is a delight and I always leave in a good mood. Beyond that I've had nothing but positive experiences with the office staff in Del Ray. They're pleasant to deal with and when I emailed asking for an electronic copy of my prescription I had it within 10 minutes.
Be prepared to wait.... and get the wrong glasses!!!
I would like to share my experience with the eye2eye Optometry Corner/Del Ray s branch. I showed up at that location with my eye prescription in hand from an other optometry. Basically, I was looking to get new sunglass lenses for the frame that I provided to them. Long story short, I dropped my frame with the prescription and ordered what I was looking for the first week of December 2020. After messing around with my order 4-5 times (wrong order, not tinted lenses, lost between their lab, their office, in a snow storm and in the transportation), I finally received my order 3 months after (first week of March 2021). I called several time trying to retrieve my glasses, and they were never able to give me an exact answer to my questions. After all that journey, my glasses came back with what they call Fish Bowl Effect . What it does is, I can see clearly numbers/letters but I can t see depth and distance. It s almost like wearing one of those Virtual Reality goggle used with video games. The branch s manager told me that it s normal having that kind of effect and my vision will adapt to it after a couple of days. I m now two weeks in from the pick up and I simply can t wear them since they give me severe headaches after only couple minutes of wearing them. I also can t wear them while driving since I can t correctly judge distance and depth with them. I had prescription sunglasses before and I never experience that kind of issues like this before. I m truly disappointed with my overall experience with the eye2eye Optometry Corner/Del Ray s branch. I do not recommend this office for your next glasses needs. Thanks
Beware - over priced and pushy. Want to charge for things that others include with their exam. They only want you to buy from them and don t want to give you all your exam information so you can t order from anyone but them. They want to take you for a ride instead of allowing you to buy. Way over priced!!! Nickel and dime! Don t visit!!!
