I did the bare island dusk and night time dive with Jason, which was really great. Although the two dives were just on different sides of the small island, they were vastly different and very exciting. In the dusk dive we jumped off of a rocky outcrop into water's rich with wildlife such as rays (lots of rays), small sharks (even found an empty shark egg, which was very intriguing) and an array of weird and wonderful fish. The night time dive we entered from the shore, it was a lot calmer and had a very different feel to it - the fish were a lot more placid around you approaching them. We saw starfish, jellyfish, all sorts of fish! I would highly recommend this dive!

Jason himself was very professional and made you feel very safe, he was also stocked with really good equipment and made the overall experience top notch!

I dived at Bare Island just outside of Sydney and it was AMAZING! Got to see over 30 Port Jackson Sharks and so much more stuff! Jason is super chilled and it was an absolute pleasure to dive with him. If you want to dive in Sydney would 100% recommend this place!

Jason was so nice and made it an incredible dive!! We did the Discover Scuba and the marin life in the spot that he takes you to is amazing, and he even took us to a secret air pocket! It was really fun and we felt completely safe the entire time because of his attentiveness! Really a great experience, can't wait to go back!

We went diving at Bare Island with Jason who is very knowledgeable about the local wildlife. He is super relaxed which makes for an enjoyable and chilled out dive, and gave us tips for improving our technique which we appreciated as not all dive masters would give the time. To pick out a few examples, we saw rays, a huge friendly Grouper who was playful and inquisitive, and a weedy sea dragon which was stunning. Would highly recommend Jason and Expedition Dive!

I did the advanced open diver with Jason and it was a great diving experience.
First of all, he was very flexible with the course days, so I could do that whenever I'm free.
During the pre-dive and the diving itself, he taught me many different things that were not part of the course, just so I would have more knowledge about diving.
Jason was very patient and didn't hesitate to repeat couple of times on the things I didn't understand.
Besides that, he knows all the diving locations and secret gems points in the area very well and fits it to your capabilities and weather condition.
I really enjoyed the experience and all the marine life that we've seen.
Defenatly recommended!

We found expedition dives through a google search and chose them because they had a clear and easy to follow website, allowing us to easily identify what dive would be suitable for us.
Jason was very helpful in assisting us to finalise our dive experience.
On the day Jason helped us get everything together and was patient and helpful as we commenced the dive.
Two great dives at Camp Cove with sea horses, cuttle fish, diving sea birds and more.
The cup of tea and refreshments between dives was an unexpected bonus.

I completed my Advanced Open Water Course with Expedition Dive, and would highly recommend it (both the course, and the dive company!). Jason, the instructor, is very skilled and has a great knowledge of the dive sites we visited (Bare Island and Shark Point). He was friendly and helpful, and always paid careful attention to safety details. We also saw some amazing marine life (including Weedy Sea Dragons!)
I also valued the small group sizes that Jason offers (I did the majority of my course 1-on-1) which for me, made the experience personable and more enriching than if I had dived in a larger group.
I will definitely be back for more with Expedition Dives!

Best dive experience was my wrack dive on the HMAS Adelaide or a shark dive at magic point - grey nurse sharks, weedy sea dragons, cuttlefishes and a massive stingray - to name just a few things we met down there.

Definitely worth it - it's so close to the city of Sydney!

I contacted Expedition Dive in September 2019 for my scheduled visit to Sydney in December. THey confirmed everything nicely by email. In December, in Sydney, my dive instructor Jason got in touch with me. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule my dives due to sinus and I have to give full marks to Jason and team for helping me out and rescheduling my dive. It was a fantastic dive- Jason and I went off Bare Island (NSW). Water visibility wasn't too bad but we saw sand sharks, star fish, Blue Groupers, colourful nudibranchs', odd looking Port Jackson Sharks. The highlight was my petting the Grouper!!! I rented the full equipment from them, which is worth it to save luggage space and weight allowances. I'd definatley dive again with Expedition Dive if visiting Sydney again.

Farlex dictionary defines diving "To go toward the bottom of a body of water: We dove down to check the anchor or To engage in the sport of scuba diving." They could not be more bland. Whilst their definition per se is correct its not description to the experience that was seen or felt during this dive. My wife purchased this diving package as an anniversary present. I was on a high for weeks after this dive. The instructor, Jason was fantastic, explaining what to do when, talking of experiences from around the world. My children are counting down the days to be of age and have the diving experience with the most professional instructor we have encountered to date. Thank you Jason for making this an experience I will never forget. James B

It was my first experience inside water and could not ask for any other instructor to experience amazing view. Jason you are the best at what you did.

From the start when i meet him he was really funny and helped to reduce my nerve.
From cracking funny jokes to describe everything was so incredible.
Both me and my partner we didnt even knew how to swim and then we went inside to see amazing under water view.
Never felt any danger or panic due to his presence.
From taking us deep inside and Up to showing us amazing fishes/ things inside water, it was the best experience ever witnessed in my life.

Easily five stars. My partner and I had a great time diving with Expedition Dive. Jason was funny and informative.

We had an excellent time with Jason today diving in Botany Bay. He was very knowledgable about the history and biology of our dive site. He was patient and concerned with our safety throughout the dive. The equipment we used was up to par with anything we have used before. And most importantly, we saw amazing things with Jason as our guide. Would highly recommend choosing this option if you are looking to dive in the Sydney area.

In what other City can you drive 15 minutes and go shore diving?! Jason makes it possible! Yes, this is authentic Sydney shore diving, not Barrier Reef diving, so be reality-based. But Jason brings his A-game in service--he was even willing to pick me up since it was on the way, his van is completely kitted with EVERYTHING you need (including a 6m semi-dry carbon suit that kept me completely toasty), and he took me on a weekday as a SOLO diver. Obviously there's no profit in that kind of service, but Jason does it because he really LOVES DIVING and wants you to enjoy it too. He gives you a terrific dive briefing, lets you know what you'll see, points it out along the way, and is patient in explaining the route and best way to enter the water. The only thing that outranks Jason in "wow" factor is the gorgeous and huge blue Grouper affectionately dubbed Wally, who followed us around the entire time like a puppy. Saw rays, octopus, goat fish, nudibranchs, stone fish, etc. but mostly just enjoyed the "bottomography" of boulders and array of sea life. Highly recommended for the personal service and "live like a local" experience.

Did my Deep Diver course with Jason and it was an amazing experience. Jason is easily one of the best dive instructors I have dived with and Sydney dive sites are marvelous. A giant of a bull ray, Wobbegong shark, rare Weedy sea horse, Sting rays are just some of the awesome things I got to see. Highly recommed diving with Expedition Dive and diving in Sydney.

I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro into the lake. It was impossible to find it by myself because the lake was so deep and dark.

I asked Expedition Dive, Australia to look for my iPhone.

They went to the lake straight away and found my lost iPhone!

Great diving with Expedition Dive!

First time in Sydney and was looking to get in some diving while in town. Came upon Expedition Dive and inquired about local diving and when I could get out. Very quick and courteous response from them suggesting a good dive site for my experience and abilities, and was out with th...em the very next day.

Dive site was great; ample marine life and just right for what I was looking for. I was very impressed with my time with them; so much in fact, I booked another dive with them for the following day.

Highly recommended for getting in some diving while in Sydney.

If you're thinking of diving in the Sydney area, Expedition Dive should be your first (and only) call! They specialize in small group dives (no more than 4 divers per guide) and will meet groups at a variety of sites in the surrounding Sydney area.

Jason was a fantastic guide, identifying for us a great dive site (Bare Island) and showing us a variety of awesome marine life once we were under water. He also had all the gear we needed and checked in with us throughout the dives to make sure we had a great experience. He's super knowledgable about the area and gave us great recommendations for after our dive as well. I look forward to go diving with Expedition Dive again on future trips to Sydney!

It was a great experience for me. We were in a very small group, which was very positive. Jason taught me perfect. Although I don't speak english very well, I came with him. It was all very well organized. Thank you. Thank you.

I highly recommend Expedition Dive Sydney. With only three of us on the Open Water Course Jason was able to give us individual attention and encouragement, enabling each of us to reach our maximum potential. He relaxed me and made the sessions fun. I look forward to joining him on more dives.

My dive instructor was Jason. He is an excellent dive master and knows the dive sites in and out. He is passionate about his work and does not do it just for the money. I was fortunate to see the weedy sea dragon and loads of other sea creatures at Bare Island. Expedition Dive provides you with the best diving experience. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who plans to dive in the Sydney.

I would give six stars if possible! If you are thinking of diving in Sydney then Jason and Expedition Dives is by far the best option. I did Bare Island (both night and day), Shiprock (fantastic night dive) and The Leap where, thank to Jason, I got to see the mysterious Weedy See Dragon.

What can I say? Everything was just perfect. Jason is by far one of the best persons I dived with, with a very good knowledge of places where to go and what to see. He was also super patient and able to accomodate my tight schedule. The organization is just outstanding, all gear provided (if requested) and what is really good is that they only took small group of divers so there is no risk of overcrowded dives. And beside all, what I really appreciated is that Jason was always checking with me that I was having a good experience. Just to say how passionate of his work he is.

I was in Sydney for work, and being a certified divemaster, knew that I wanted to try to dive while I was there. I found Expedition Dive online, and Jason was able to accommodate my schedule and took me out for two great dives--by himself! He was very knowledgeable and personable, and we had a great time. I got to see some amazing coral, and we were even able to see a weedy sea dragon---which is one of the coolest and strangest creatures I have ever seen. I would absolutely call them again when in Sydney, and would 100% recommend them to anyone I know.

Being from out of country I wasn t planning on diving but got an inclination to when I arrived. After reading the reviews I decided to book with Expedition Dive. The booking process was very easy and instructions where to meet etc very clear which I appreciated.

Jason the owner took me on a double tank dive and showed me around the area. Jason is great, very knowledgeable and very friendly. You can tell he knows his stuff and I felt very safe and secure diving with him. Also a great guy to have a conversation and joke around with.

Overall an excellent experience and if I return again and dive Sydney my first call would be to book with Expedition again. Thanks for the great experience Jason!

I did the discovery dive with Expedition Dive and it was fantastic. Jason was my instructor/guide and he was awesome. The instruction was superb, gear was great and the scenery beyond belief. Now I m jazzed to get certified with Expedition Dive. If you come to Sydney and don t at least do the discovery dive with Expedition Dive, well you truly haven t experienced Australia.

Jason was very patient and informative about learning the basics of diving for the first time in the Barrier Reef. My Husband who can't even swim was very comfortable with getting in the water. It was truly a memorable experience being among the colorful coral and fish! Would definitely go again!

Killer 2 dives at Bare Island. Jason was a pro - competent and fun, and we saw the Weedy Sea Dragon! Great dives just a quick drive from the heart of the city.

Had a blast diving with Jason! Was in town for a work trip and wanted to get some diving in when I had the chance. Unfortunately my work schedule changed late the night before I was supposed to dive. E-mailed the POC and explained my situation. They were very accommodating and we pushed it to the following day.
Dove both sides of Bare Island and had a blast! Walley the groper is the size of a pig and incredibly friendly, got to see the elusive Weedy Sea Dragon, and even swam with a Wobbegong (which was unexpected for both of us!)
Great conversation and experience, Jason not only pointed out one of the best fish and chips shops in Sydney but also loaned be a ten to catch the bus back into the city (though the bus driver didn't even want it!)
Believe me, the next time I'm in the AO I'll be hitting up Expedition Dive!

I lost the phone under the water which is quite deep. There is no way I can find it by myself. Amazingly Expedition Dive, Australia found it. It was just miracle and get my phone back with all the data. Thank you very much. Yes, I highly recommended

I recently completed my PADI rescue divers with Jason at Expedition dive and I would highly recommend!
They were extremely flexible with dates, which was amazing as I was a bit short on time in Sydney, and I had a one and one practical dive session which was excellent and allows you to get as much from the course as possible. The dive sight (Bare island) unfortunately had low vis on the day, however we still had amazing sightings, including a exceptional weedy sea dragon! Definitely get in contact for all your diving needs!

Jason was absolutely great. He picked us up from the train station and took us out to the dive site. My friend is a relatively new diver but enjoyed his time very much and we got some awesome pictures of the elusive Weedy Seadragon!! Expedition Dive is also a great value, especially when compared to trying to rent a car, gear, find the dive site...why bother when an extra $20 will get you so much more and a cup of tea (or coffee)!

I was an open water diver in Sydney, but was never able to fully experience the beauty of the oceans without my Advanced Scuba Certification. There was only so much you could see from a shore dive and minimal depth and I knew I needed more training. I chose Expedition Dive because I wanted an instructor and company I could trust and rely on to get the best training possible. I did 2 shore dives, 2 boat dives and a night dive for my PADI advanced course with Jason to get the most versatile experience from the training.

The night dive was by far my favorite. Being swallowed up into the darkness was very surreal. My fears were put at ease thanks to Expedition Dives great team who guided me through the night water with expert precision.

Expedition Dive was a fantastic company to work with and I would recommend them to anyone looking to expand their diving skills in the Sydney area. My instructor's patience, knowledge and guidance made me feel like I learned the key skills needed to get to the next level in diving. His training is a tremendous value and highly recommended!

Jason did the Bare Island dive with me alone, we were able to see the weed sea dragon right away when went in the water which was amazing. The equipment is in top notch conditions, he has a lot of experience with the diving site and always well prepared.

Had a great dive w/ Jason on Bare Island! Very rough conditions on the day I booked. Jason kept his cool and gave great instructions how to get in and out of the water. We got to see 7 Port Jackson sharks at the same time. Wonderful experience! Unfortunately the conditions got worse so Jason decided not to go in for a second dive. Safety first!
