Everquote selling unverified cell phone numbers

Been burned by Everquote selling my cell phone number. They never verified my phone number before they sold it to insurance agents. Now my cell phone is blowing up. I had 10 calls in 12 minutes on Friday while I was in a meeting. And I can't get ahold of anyone at Everquote. Everquote sucks.

Absolutely horrible to deal with. Everquote sells leads that do not meet filters and refuse to refund leads with multiple moving violations, at fault accidents, sr22, and DUI. They almost never meet filters, when they do it is for an elderly person they tricked into giving their information. Everquote sucks pass it on.

large marketing budget claiming they are the new answer to auto insurance but when you fill out the forms what you get is harassment by their operators to sign on with one of 3 insurance companies only and if you say no they get very rude, use foul language and hang up the phone on you

I had a great run with Everquote last year! It helped me finish the year as the top Allstate Agency in the NW Region. If you are an insurance agency that can handle a large volume of leads, I would definitely check out their program

This company claims to provide a comparison of insurance options, but in reality the site is just a front to gather your information and drive you to a 3rd party landing page. If you drop off at any point while gathering your info they will simple try to retarget you with poorly made digital banner ads. I don't suggest inputing your personal information on the site unless you enjoy spam. You're best bet for accurate quotes is going to the insurers site directly.

Miserable company that sells your information as a "lead" to desperate insurance agents that call you 10-30 times per day. They do not even supply you with a quote which is misleading and false advertising.

I saw a news article about Everquote, and wanted to give it a try. They made it seem that you fill out information once with them and then receive quotes from insurance companies so you can compare. VERY MISLEADING!! I immediately received 2 calls from 800 numbers and 2 calls from local agents soliciting me. I also received multiple emails from insurance providers. None of the emails or phone calls had any quotes to show me, I still would have had to provide my information multiple times to each carrier before getting an actual quote. All Everquote is is a middle man, gathering your info and pushing it to insurance companies (that I'm sure are paying them for leads). ANNOYING!

I took 20 minutes to fill in informations and for some information I need to fill in twice. The final quote I got from them is $50 higher than my current auto insurance quote. Waste of my time!

I really should have trusted my gut on this one. They present themselves like if you enter your information (which takes about 10 minutes of your life that you will never get back) that they will, in turn, give you quotes on insurance right then and there. Sadly, no. They called me as soon as I hit the submit button as me if I have had insurance for 6 months or more and if I own my home. They then transferred me to an Allstate agent. I was so disgusted with the misleading nature of this website/business. Shame on them for misrepresenting what they REALLY are. A lead generator for insurance companies. I did NOT want to be called and bothered and that is all I received. Never even received a quote of ANY kind. Worst of all, they sent me to Progressives website and some other company I had never heard of before and both of those companies wanted me to input my information ALL OVER AGAIN... yeah, right! WASTE OF TIME. Don't do it!

DO NOT SHARE YOUR INFORMATION ON THIER WEBSITES VERY ANNOYING AND HARRASING PERSONAL INFORMATION Sharing.

Useless. I hope that I do not get annoying calls. Should have seen this before I entered my information. The add on the news paper looked really good. But I guess it was all lies. Very not ethical. 660 a month for Ford mustang? Also I did not remmber clicking a button or agreement that gives you the right to use my information very unprofessional

Do not try it. Just a waste of your time. This website never gave you any real quotes from any true companies at all. All it does is to collect your personal information and sell it to agents and companies.

Useless service. I'm getting calls and emails from agents that can't even offer me insurance despite putting all my info into the EverQuote form and the "quote" from the online leads require me to reenter info I already gave EverQuote. Waste of time just contact the insurance companies directly.

Scam. Entered all the requested info and asked not to be called by an agent. Each link brought me to a blank screen and had to reenter all info for each referral. I didn't bother. One referral said an agent would call. Doh!

Basically same as everyone else, requested all this information and didn't help in any way. The service is suppose to compare several insurance companies at once and it just simply provides a link to different home pages. Stay away!

Company is a scam. About 40% of the leads are bad. They recycle leads often. They will send you leads that don't fit your guidelines (i.e.- customer had a DUI), then will make you pay for the lead (no matter what) if your return rate is over 20%. The return rate is a reflection of Everquote and the quality of leads they supply, but they will turn around and use that number against the customer for an excuse to charge you for leads that don't fit your guidelines or you cannot quote. They are ruthlessly rude and difficult to deal with. Here is a blip from their last email which was to make "returning leads...easy and transparent, not cumbersome and consuming"- " Returns over the 20% cap will not be accepted for any reason. It s that simple.".

Clearly a very customer focused company lol

Don't do business with crooks.

I was under the impression that the quotes would be done exclusively online. Although I checked the mark indicating that it was curiosity prompting my bad decision of entering my personal information, I was continuously bombarded by phone calls. One right after the other, with several calls from the same vendor, which I had to block. So unless you want to be hassled for several days by salespeople for EVER, perhaps it is best not to participate.
