I have been coming to this lake every year since I was four years old. However I can for sure say eighteen years later I will never, ever come back to this lake again. If you're looking for a place to rent a boat and go paddle around a lake this is a good place for that. If you're looking for a good place to fish and enjoy a nice quiet afternoon this is no longer the place. What used to be good fishing spots is now taken by boat rental. Other fishing spots have been taken up by boardwalk that has been installed over the year and the remainder of the fishing spots are either too shallow so you always snag your line in the bottom of the lake or over crowded. This lake has turned into nothing more than a tourist trap. The boat rental location was moved from the lodge to it's own individual building. The best fishing spot has been blocked off by said boat rental and they will not let you fish. There is so many people on the water it scares all the fish away and so many people driving by and walking around that it's no longer peaceful. I have had some great childhood memories at this lake and it is officially time to say goodbye and put them to rest. It's sad to see yet another place ruined by the insatiable desire to make money.

Went ice skating end of January, ice was not the best and the website where you had to reserve was hard to navigate, but the experience of skating was fun. Rental skates had much to be desired. hopefully next year they will not be limited by covid to individual rinks. Although finding parking was nice due to the reservation standard.

I was the wedding coordinator for a wedding on April 3rd. I was so impressed with the management of the facilities. By far, some of the easiest and helpful I have every worked with. The facilities can become quite elegant with little effort. It was an unbelievable view of an ice covered lake in the background yet we were warm. Due to the beauty of the area and facilities, and the fabulous management, I can give 5 stars to Evergreen Lake House. Keep up the good work.

I also recommend Famous Dave's BBQ for catering. Those ladies even washed our dishes. Totally unexpected service.

We recently reserved an ice skating rink at Evergreen Lake House for my daughter s birthday. It was a beautiful location to go skating and they did a really good job with social distancing and they even had the kids skate helpers which made the experience even more enjoyable. There were plenty of places to sit down to put on skates and even outdoor restrooms.

Because of COVID they allow one family to reserve their own rink for instead of everyone skating together. I actually like it better, pandemic it not, it s more peaceful and easier to find a parking spot. Is a little pricy for skating at $40 for an hour but it s a great winter outdoor activity to do with another family, especially now.

A beautiful place to go walk around and relax with the family. Good for all ages including elderly not a hard walk to do the whole hiking trail. you can take food and just enjoy, does get busier on the weekends.

Amazing facility for pond hockey and ice skating. One giant ice surface for public skate and roughly 9 smaller ice surfaces for hockey or a more private session. Week day was not that busy and was able to skate from a little before 3 until after 630. It was snowing but they had a tractor to clean the ice surfaces continuously. Great time and great view. Anyone who is an ice hockey enthusiast, I would add this to your pond hockey bucket list.
