Very interesting and special to be the site of Estec
Very friendly working Environment, it's a place where you really feel at home!
We went to the open day on October 7th, 2018.
The place is huge with lots to see and loads of interest.
There is staff everywhere to explain and promote what they do, especially for kids.
Large, hugely interesting for everyone - 13,000 people are extremely busy for some places in the buildings.
Here are the technical details of the ESA missions. Incredibly interesting.
Very interesting for if you are interested in the developments of space travel.
For children it is partly instructive through a treasure hunt.
In short, nice to have seen once.
The place to be if you are a Space Engineer. Well organised administration, friendly staff and a beautiful landscape. Be sure to visit the merchandise shop. For a visit, go to the nearby Space Museum, which organises tours of ESTEC.
are you guys in any way involved with last stand dlc for battlefield 4?
Awesome place, just were the science fiction and real science collide
Visited ESA during one of their open days in 2014. An excellent choice for space lovers.
Been there for a business meeting about two years ago. Got the full tour of the facilites. Awsome place! Guess you could go to the beach to have Afterwork in the summer? ;)
great fun. We enjoyed our stay very much. Personnel is very warm and friendly
OpenESTEC to visit space Europe several times. The technologies & explanations are superb.
ARMSTRONG & ARMSTRONG.
ESA, What a Wonderful World !
The most important thing of the Apollo mission was to demonstrate that humanity is not chained forever to one planet and that our visions can cross that line, and that our opportunities are unlimited.
(Neil Armstrong)
Went here during the yearly open day, well organized
ESA has sites in several European countries, but the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, is the largest. ESTEC is our technical heart - the incubator of the European space effort - where most ESA projects are born and where they are guided through the various phases of development.
Developing and managing all types of ESA missions: science, exploration, telecommunications, human spaceflight, satellite navigation and Earth observation.
Providing all the managerial and technical competences and facilities needed to initiate and manage the development of space systems and technologies.
Operating an environmental test centre for spacecraft, with supporting engineering laboratories specialised in systems engineering, components and materials, and working within a network of other facilities and laboratories.
Supporting European space industry and working closely with other organisations, such as universities, research institutes and national agencies from ESA Member States, and cooperating with space agencies all over the world.
Magnificent experience. You have the possibility to see live space shuttles, astronaut suits, various finds or to simulate a landing in the sea .....
Research is being done here for satellites and space travel.
We got a really interesting tour of ESA's main technology and development center. Fascinating exhibits and interesting information.
The European cradle of technology. There is little to add.
A great place to work!! Fantastic cantinas, superb scientific enviroment...
