The dome on the ceiling was beautiful.
The elevator is retro.
The tax exemption counter on the 0th floor is located a little higher on the stairs, and you can choose Japanese, so even if you are a beginner or if you can not speak English, you can manage by showing your passport and credit card.

The Lafayette galleries have clearly improved for several months already and this is felt when one enters these places. However, I compare it to their direct competitor Printemps. And I find that Printemps is two notches above the quality of reception. But the Lafayette galleries do not deserve. They should know their workplace a little better. I went there to find a baccarat stand and I spoke to four different people including a reception manager to find the Result stand without appeal .... I was sent to 4 different corners and then I hear that there has been no baccarat stand for a long time and that I should rather go in the spring to be sure to find one. In addition, a reception manager who does not know his job and barely responds with annoyance is not at all commercial. In short a very big disappointment when the quality of the reception. The store remains beautiful and elegant. And the high-end products are well presented. If you like the dim light side then the Lafayette galleries are for you. I still prefer the brightness of Spring. But it is a personal choice. In any case, you will still find what you are looking for in both brands. Sales periods are of course the most interesting for doing good business.

During the holidays and especially after Christmas, this place is a madhouse. But, the prices are good and there is a lot to browse. Be aware there are several stores in the complex which actually cover a few blocks. I enjoy the gourmet store, which I can purchase an array of French products that are sealed so there is no problem with security or customs. You can get all the specialty store products here instead of visiting each of the stores individually. But, it is also a stellar place for clothing, accessories, and souvenirs. Anybody who likes shopping will be in heaven. If you can't stand shopping, then run in the opposite direction.

Fabulous department store. If you are fed up with shopping, go up onto the roof and look out over Paris and the rear of the Opera. On certain days there is a fashion show. You have to book tickets in advance, via email, so plan ahead.

Always very beautiful, it presents a range of labels from those who were the fashion. Very expensive. The dome already gallery is a work of art. It is worth going up to the terrace and enjoying the beautiful Parisian landscape.

Fabulous

Very good pastries with original perfumes.

Very good pastries with original perfumes.
I put only 3 stars because on the site is indicated that the stand opens at 8:30. It opens well at the indicated time, to the nearest second. Problem: pastries are not put in place before 10:30. Too bad

A "must see" been if you are not in a shopping mood. Born from a fashion store in 1896 this Paris shopping mecca definitively deserves to be one of your stops during your stay in the capital. The "art nouveau" dome and the tiered atrium are breath taking. The roof terrace offers a magnificent view of Paris roof tops and "popping" landmarks. The only surprising draw back it only has two bathroom areas (one on the 6th floor and one in the -1 floor) (still better than the rest of France).

The Galeries Lafayette are located in the center of Paris. Inside them (after a meticulous inspection at the entrance) you will find the largest brands that dominate the stylistic and non-stylistic scenario on several floors (Chanel, Tiffany, Gucci, but also some less expensive ones such as Zara and Topshop). At the top there is a terrace from which you can enjoy an excellent view of the city of Paris for free. There is also a restaurant near the terrace. If you are lucky, you could pick the right place and have the Eiffel Tower as a dining companion.
