Temple of the Parisian department stores, the Galeries Lafayette are a real institution with in particular the wrought iron staircases as well as a magnificent glass roof in an Art Nouveau style.
The shop is unfortunately a little victim of its success and the hordes of tourists who go there can discourage some visitors.

Great buildings, a lot to see in all of them, and a beautiful view at the terrace.

Galeries Lafayette is definitely recommended to take a look inside, the building has a huge dome of stained glass, from the roof of Galeries Lafayette you have a wide view over Paris. There are ten floors in the department store and so many beautiful and exclusive brands are offered. And there are several restaurants and bars where you can eat and drink something tasty. The building is really a city monument. What I also find very special is the beautiful decoration of the windows in the winter baskets, it seems like an attraction, people stand in line to take a look.

I love the building, it's always a pleasure to find this sign but I couldn't find my article, no more haberdashery, too bad ....

One of my favorite places in Paris to shop and to admire the ceiling! It is so gorgeous there you must go to see it. There are wonderful things to buy and they have tax free right there so you don t have the hassle at the airport. The walkway to get photos opens at 10am and the rooftop has incredible views too.

The saturated parking lot, the windows too and the horrible traffic.
In short avoid coming to the gallery wasted time and not necessarily cheaper, see more expensive than in other shops.

A great place to shop for people of all ages, with mid to high-end brand names, including items for children. Extremely well-staffed with a tiny concierge to direct you at every entrance. This is a tourist-centric magasin, so it's wise to be prepared for extremely dense crowds it's a bit difficult for small children to navigate. Definitely worth a trip to the roof for a beautiful view of Paris & la Tour Eiffel!

I love the style of the buildings! It is always well maintained. One star less for dirt and insecurity when there are too many people but otherwise it's superb!

The building is very beautiful, the inside is very easy to buy, many of the staff can speak Chinese, and you can also take a group tour with a dedicated Chinese commentator in a separate building to buy it for you!

Upscale shopping hub in Paris. Don't visit it for the sake of old age architecture marble, it's a shopping mall with beautiful interior!
