They were great last year but this year there is no communication. I told them to lodge my return 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since i paid them their fee. Ive sent msgs but receive no replies. Never again .

been using the E-tax website for many years now and have not had a single issue. While I am not a business owner or investment property owner I have never had any trouble with my tax with this website. Tax time is stressful for everyone so any help for people during this time is appreciated. I hope the quality of the site remains the same.

Okay service for free but my god be prepared for the amount of emails they send. You get multiple emails everyday saying almost the exact same thing.

Hi, I found etax this year quite user friendly except for one area, the Health Fund Rebate. I selected the option to let Etax pull in my information for that as I haven't received a posted statement. However below that was still a line with 2 refundable amounts (2 separate amounts for the same policy ?? They came up automatically. As not sure what to do as I had asked Etax to fill these in I just returned them to 0. Hope this works out. This was the only section that felt a bit "clunky".

Awesome way to do tax! I have shares and 4 investment properties and found it pretty easy! This is the third year I have used E Tax, so i'm used to their layout which allowed me to optimise my spreadsheets to make entering deductions a breeze! I used to pay 8 times as much for a "face to face" accountant

Etax was such a quick and easy way to complete my tax return, I was actually surprised at how straight forward it was. As I was part way through filling it out I received a message informing me that, if I wanted to, Etax had information that they could fill out for me. This saved a lot of time doing this. I will be using Etax from now on in and recommending this service to anyone I know.

Etax lodged my return without notifying me of a debt on my tax record I hadn't known about due to change of address, giving me an inaccurate assessment. It then took 30 days for me to be able to ask them to escalate the delay, which I assume was because of the debt. It was 45 days before my return could be finalised and each time I chased it up I was told they had no idea what happens within the tax office once the return is lodged. This is in direct contradiction to the wording they use to advertise their service.

I just did my tax return with the online helper service, and the accountant chat was very helpful when I hit a snag. Good for freelancers.
