I passed the driving test on Thursday last week 11.06.2020. I would like to congratulate my examiner Raivo, who communicated with me in Russian because it is my mother tongue, explained everything nicely and let me test drive on the field before the exam so that I could feel more confident. In short, very polite and friendly communication. After passing the exam I got a gift with reflective braces, which I will definitely use :)

About Estonian Road Administration

Estonian Road Administration: Ensuring Safe and Sustainable Transportation in Estonia

Estonian Road Administration, also known as Transpordiamet, is a government agency responsible for ensuring safe and sustainable transportation in Estonia. The agency's primary goal is to provide a safe and efficient transportation system that meets the needs of both people and vehicles while minimizing the impact on the environment.

The Estonian Road Administration was established in 2009 as part of a larger restructuring of the country's transport sector. The agency is responsible for managing all aspects of road transport, including planning, construction, maintenance, and safety. It also oversees public transport services such as buses and trains.

One of the key priorities of Estonian Road Administration is to ensure that roads are safe for all users. This includes implementing measures such as speed limits, traffic signs, road markings, and safety barriers to reduce accidents. The agency also works closely with law enforcement agencies to enforce traffic laws and regulations.

In addition to safety concerns, Estonian Road Administration places great emphasis on sustainability. The agency recognizes that transportation has a significant impact on the environment through emissions from vehicles and infrastructure development. To address this issue, it has implemented various initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions from transportation.

For example, Estonian Road Administration promotes alternative modes of transportation such as cycling by building dedicated bike lanes throughout cities across Estonia. It also encourages carpooling by providing incentives for drivers who share their rides with others.

Another way that Estonian Road Administration promotes sustainability is through its focus on using environmentally friendly materials in road construction projects. For instance, it uses recycled materials whenever possible instead of traditional asphalt or concrete.

Overall, Estonian Road Administration plays an essential role in ensuring safe and sustainable transportation throughout Estonia. Its commitment to promoting environmentally friendly practices while maintaining high standards for safety makes it an exemplary government agency worthy of recognition both domestically within Estonia but internationally too!
