Nice ground. All seats I have been in have good views of pitch. Queue for a pint can get a bit out of hand.

Great day out at the best little ground in the county.

I used the car park only. Machines weren't working, so you'll need the park and pay app. The attendant was very helpful, explaining the process and where there were spaces.

Wonderful to be at the last match of the season and be part of the celebrations when Essex won the Championship.

Easy to access with great little stall all around the edge. No cricket when I was there, but I would think it would good. I was at another event.

Essex CCC is my favourite cricket team which England captain Alistair Cook plays for them.

My first stadium experience. It was good experience but unfortunately no international matches are happening here

It's not Lord's obvs, but you feel very close to the action which is good. Went to the T20 vs Hampshire which ran to the last ball and ended in a tie! Not a bad nailbiter for my 8 year old's first live cricket.

Food options seem a bit limited to be honest but decent enough quality and the whole ground has a laid back feel.

There is a bit of a poorly planned entrance/exit bottleneck that runs under the road and can lead tondelays getting out of the ground after a match. If ours hadn't been so tight a finish, I might have considered heading out a few overs early.

there is a lovely local feel to the ground, Essex are playing a high standard of 4-day cricket, the seating area does not seem to have too much litter at the end of the day; from that point of view, it is one of the neatest grounds I have been to. I feel that there should be the opportunity to buy seats in the members' area on days when the ground is not too crowded, but to be fair, I have always enjoyed a day here.

A Mecca of cricket. A joy to visit. Facilities pretty basic, but the ground has character; and a very fine team.

Great venue for cricket. T20 nights see freebies for the fans to get them into the game. You can take food in for any game. Alcohol can be taken in for first class games (x4 beers or a bottle of wine). Beer is also sold and is being served with reusable cups now to help cut plastic waste. Parking nearby (pay & display) or accessible using public transport (Chelmsford station 5min walk). Ground staff helpful & generally nice.

There was a Mobiloo toilet provided which meant that my friends were able to go and watch their first twenty twenty game

would have been a solid 4 but it is so hard to get out off the ground!!

Match was not started because the outfield was too wet but they waited until everyone had bought food and drink and sat down before telling us.

Always enjoy visiting Chelmsford, nice ground with easy access & good views of the cricket.

If Danes loved cricket they probably think this is the best ground in the world?

My son and I had a wonderful evening sitting under cover from the rain but drinking beer while we did so. It was surprising how many turned up considering over 90% chance of rain all evening was forecast, but that's the dedication of Essex supporters. As no cricket was played we got a refund, but had a good evening out!

Went there to see T20 match which started at 5pm. Great atmosphere and match was exciting too. Was impressed with amount of staff and security around . Only problem for me on the day was length of time you had to wait for food big queue!!!

Great venue, one of the most intimate of county grounds.

Pleasant staff, variety of vendors for food and a very lovely evening. Winning combination.

I went there for Nick Wood's Unshaken studio photography course which was great. Good light and nice background.

Excellent viewing, good food and friendly folk but parking very expensive. ...

Darrell Fox, Ruth Leatherdale and the team are really great at getting the local business community together. We love going to Essex Cricket to do business and have fun!

Facilities as usual but you now have to pay car parking to use the facility or even go to the shop!!

Never ever been to a cricket game but 20/20 is a blast!!!

At the Ladies super league final on 21 August 2016, but found there was only one food and drink outlet open. This meant that you either had very long queues between matches or missed some of the cricket to get a drink and food. I suggest if customer service is important you need to address this issue. I know this match would not attract the usual size of crowd but it won't get bigger if this situation is not addressed.

Horrible cricket ground. Some stewards incredibly friendly and helpful and some just downright rude.
As a wheelchair user not many facilities. Won't go again

Nice place for a bit of Twenty20, or even a one sayer.
